Added linking from the muncipalities to the churches. A bit confusing as some referer to the muncipality while other referers to local villages. One even used a muncipality which was merged.

Dude, we have 30,000 Untagged images, any one of which could be a copyright violation serious enough to get Wikipedia into legal trouble - we don't know because nobody has looked at them. We're not even keeping up with the flood of incoming copyright violations, and you want me to go slower on cleaning up after people who should have followed instructions in the first place? I found a question on User talk:Wiglafs discussion page about this church, added by you. The correct reading of "and it is often classified as a stave church" is more like "and the palisade walls are often classified as remnants of a stave church". This to is wrong if you use a Norwegian description of a stave church. It is although right if you use a Swedish definition of a stave church.
The background is, in Sweden a stave church is a church with standing planks in the wall while in Norway a stave church is specific construction with standing staves (pillars) on top of a wooden frame. Sometimes scholars in Sweden uses risverkskyrka to avoid the confusion. In all there are three different constructions, probably with a lot of transitional forms. A palisade construction, a construction with earth bound posts and a construction with posts on top of a wooden frame. To make the situation even more unclear a palisade construction can be partly lifted from the ground and set on a wooden frame.
Especially churches with earth bound posts can be easily spotted during an archaeological survey and a palisade construction were all or parts of the walls are set in gravel. Such buildings are detected all over Europe, and according to Leif Anker "Europe are covered in post holes from Italy to Norway". As he says, "it is more interesting to investigate why the stave churches survived in Norway then to try to see them as a Norwegian-only phenomenon".

Dear John, in this edit you removed quote "slander from a so called biography". This "so called biography" is the largest biographical project in recent norwegian literature, published on a well respected publishing house, and with equally respected sponsors. Furthermore, it is (AFAIK) written in agreement with the royal houses of Norway, Denmark and England. It is fair reason to doubt wheter this bit of information should be in an article about Guy_Francis_Laking, but there is no reason to discredit the biography, the author, or to descibe his open hypothesis as "slander". I am all for re-including the drawing when the article grows a little larger (I have been meaning to translate your and Nina's new text from no:, but I haven't had a lot of free time this past week). I removed the drawing as it closely resembles the photograph, which I tend to prefer as a leading image as it better depicts the church's size and place to those who have not visited it. Hi John. I am a little rushed at the moment (I am preparing for a seminar I have tomorrow), but I will give the article's language a quick going over. I should finish my work in a couple of hours, I will translate the new stuff from no: then if you or Nina do not do it first. If I cannot do it tonight, I will do it tomorrow evening. Thanks for telling me. Rje 20:45, 23 October 2005 (UTC)

We need to review the terms used for various types of regions of Norway, esp. the current erroneous term "landscape", but also landsdel and tettsted. See for instance Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Norway#.22Landscape.22. -- Egil 16:09, 11 January 2006 (UTC)

Come on over and try tagging a few hundred yourself, you'll get a better feel for the scale of our problem. Stan 14:42, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
Speedy deletion is acted upon on 7 days. Adding that tag at image pages uploaded by students during holidays will most likely get the image deleted before they come back and finds the note. Please do NOT mark images for speedy deletion unless you check the user page!
Thank you.

You wrote: "I need someone to check out my english spelling in the addition to the article about Valdres Folkemuseum. Hopefully I found the right buildings! — John Erling Blad ( no) 20:29, 21 March 2006 (UTC)"

Articles which parallel a Norwegian Wikipeda series on Lists of farms in Oppland have been proposed for deletion no: Kategori:Lister over gårder i Oppland. I believe that such material has both historical and genealogical value, but as always will support the position of the Wikimajority. If you have an opinion for or against deletion, I’d appreciate your commentary on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lists of farms in Oppland. You’re welcome either in favor or against deletion. Don't be in such a rush to be the first to report his death. Until we get confirmation from a reliable source, let's wait. Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Arsenikk (talk) 18:49, 23 January 2012 (UTC)
Hi! Thanks for your note. First of all, she was disruptively blanking a template despite more than one warning. That, combined with her incredibly biased edits to the article about her website and the threat to "take the matter further" if the article wasn't changed was enough to tip the scales for me. If you want, you can always ask for a block review at AN, but I hope that's enough explanation. Keilana| Parlez ici 02:06, 11 May 2012 (UTC)
