Hello Valereee,
Instead of reaching a magic 300 as it once did last year, the backlog approaching 6,000 is still far too high. An effort is also needed to ensure that older unsuitable older pages at the back of the queue do not get automatically indexed for Google.
A proposal is taking place here to confirm a nominated user as Coordinator of NPR.
Why I Hate Speedy Deleters, a 2008 essay by long since retired Ballonman, is still as valid today. Those of us who patrol large numbers of new pages can be forgiven for making the occasional mistake while others can learn from their 'beginner' errors. Worth reading.
Do bear in mind that articles in the feed showing the trash can icon (you will need to have 'Nominated for deletion' enabled for this in your filters) may have been tagged by inexperienced or non NPR rights holders using Twinkle. They require your further verification.
Please be sure to look for the tell-tale signs of undisclosed paid editing. Contact the creator if appropriate, and submit the issue to WP:COIN if necessary. WMF policy requires paid editors to connect to their adverts.
Regular reviewers will appreciate the most recent enhancements to the New Pages Feed and features in the Curation tool, and there are still more to come. Due to the wealth of information now displayed by ORES, reviewers are strongly encouraged to use the system now rather than Twinkle; it will also correctly populate the logs.
Stub sorting, by SD0001: A new script is available for adding/removing stub tags. See User:SD0001/StubSorter.js, It features a simple HotCat-style dynamic search field. Many of the reviewers who are using it are finding it an improvement upon other available tools.
Assessment: The script at User:Evad37/rater makes the addition of Wikiproject templates extremely easy. New page creators rarely do this. Reviewers are not obliged to make these edits but they only take a few seconds. They can use the Curation message system to let the creator know what they have done.
DannyS712 bot III is now patrolling certain categories of uncontroversial redirects. Curious? Check out its patrol log.

A tag has been placed on Category:Women's Page journalists requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Hi, valereee. When I saw Template:Did you know nominations/Anne Boutiaut Poulard, I was amused to think that, somewhere along its journey to the Main Page, someone or other is likely to cite WP:EGG regarding the piping of " Anne Boutiaut Poulard" to "omelette". (Maybe I have a low threshold for amusement.) Anyways, what I mostly came here for was that I noticed an identical sentence twice in the article: the first sentence (paragraph) in the Omelette section also appears in the Career section. I was going to delete or reword/trim the "Career" instance, but figured it was better to let you handle it as you see fit. MANdARAX • XAЯAbИAM 20:51, 1 October 2019 (UTC)

For my own education I would like to know why the statement "The Rangerettes have performed on four continents, in twelve foreign countries, twenty-three states, and Washington D.C." is considered promotional-sounding content, but none of the very similar content in the same paragraph is considered promotional. My hope is your answer will help me become a better editor. Thanks in advance. PhillyHarold 12:32, 12 September 2019 (UTC)

Hi, Valereee. Hope all is well. Can you help me delete the redirect Raúl Hernández Barrón? I'm working on a draft and it's almost done. I'd like to keep the edit history instead of pasting it on the redirect. Courtesy ping to GuzzyG, who created the redirect. Thank you! MX ( ✉ • ✎) 16:00, 18 September 2019 (UTC)

Don't think we have ever crossed path, but I really admire your amazing work with DYK and everything (helping mentoring elisa.rolle for instance, something that I could not do) since you became admin. Keep up the astonishing work of being diplomatic and empathetic person you are. Cheers, Alex Shih ( talk) 12:51, 21 September 2019 (UTC) |

MANdARAX • XAЯAbИAM 20:51, 1 October 2019 (UTC)

re I didn't glom that until I'd started setting preps myself.
: I'd never seen or heard the word "glom" before, so I had to look it up. From the Scots dialect glaum it seems. Kudos. Not that it's unusual for me to come across a new word (especially with the newer youth speech like whatev), but such a short word I've never seen or heard of before really caught my eye. BTW - keep up all the good work, both editor and admin. "over and out"
