Thanks for uploading Image:02 River Roch after heavy rain 2.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:02 River Roch after heavy rain 2.JPG. The copy called Image:02 River Roch after heavy rain 2.JPG has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.
This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. Under the

Hello P.Hogg,
I notice that in addition to your contributions of text, you are also adding photographs - which is great! I was wondering if you'd be able to take a photograph of Milnrow and/or Rochdale sometime - something along the lines of what's found at the top right of Shaw and Crompton and Oldham articles? I think a great shot would be found at Burnedge/Laneside/Fairview at High Crompton for both towns.
It'd be great too if you would take a look at Greater Manchester WikiProject and make contact with us! Hope to hear from you, -- Jza84 · ( talk) 02:08, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

I was in two minds whether to create this article, but decided not to as I didn't have enough information. I wondered, can you say for certain if it was along the present metro line. Obviously it was on the ELR line, but when the L&YR built their line, did the two meet before the station, or after? I know it was very likely around the North Junction (on the 1893 and 1894 OS map there is a Withins Lane Siding, clearly visible, that appears to branch northeast from the metro line). That siding has gone by 1909. Interestingly, on the 1893 and 1894 maps you can see a Hagside Siding, that presumably would be located at the present level crossing. You can see all this at old maps, and theres a map on the Radcliffe article I made, here Parrot of Doom ( talk) 18:38, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

I gather that you have been involved in creating articles for the future Metrolink stations (e.g. Milnrow Metrolink station) on the Oldham Loop Line. I am wondering though whether it would be better simply at the moment to leave these names as redirects to the relevant heavy rail station article. I don't think we need an article for both the heavy rail station and the light rail station. When the new Metrolink stations open the heavy rail stations can simply be renamed to the new name with the information about its life as a heavy rail station forming a history section.
Where a Metrolink station is a new station (e.g. Drake Street Metrolink station), rather than a conversion from a heavy rail station, then I'd suggest that we probably don't even need an article yet and they can be left as red links. I would note that consensus regarding other light rail systems in the UK has been that it is not necessarily appropriate to have an article for every stop. I would welcome your views on this since it seems you've been heavily involved in this. Adambro ( talk) 18:42, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on List of bus routes in Rochdale, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. – Davey2010 Talk 15:35, 1 March 2015 (UTC)

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Editing Template:S-line/MML left/Rochdale Town Centre – Ashton-under-Lyne for deletion, because it seems to be a test. Did you know that the Wikipedia Sandbox is available for testing out edits?
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

Hi, and thank you for
your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give
1969-70 Rochdale A.F.C. season a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into
1969–70 Rochdale A.F.C. season. This is known as a "
cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the
page history, which is
legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Sawol ( talk) 07:39, 4 December 2020 (UTC)

I've gone ahead and redirected that for now. Usually page blanking by the author is interpreted as a request for deletion, but given your edit summary I wasn't entirely sure, it seemed like you might want to reuse part of what you pasted earlier in the history. Anyway, if you want it deleted feel free to place a {{ db-g7}} on the page. You are also free to remove the redirect and continue work whenever you are ready but blank pages are considered harmful, so I couldn't just let it sit there indefinitely. You can also use {{ in use}} and {{ under construction}} to indicate to others that you are actively working on a page. Cheers, 2A03:F80:32:194:71:227:81:1 ( talk) 04:20, 3 April 2021 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
