Okay, t'his is stange, but, as reported here, My User Page disappeared on 6 March 2006, without any mention in the History or anything- and I cannot seem to save a reverted version. - Eric 20:29, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

In the future, please do not copy text directly from other websites and use it here on Wikipedia. In your recent article about suicide locations, sections were copied from pages like [1] and [2] .
On another note, I find the subject of that article completely improper for Wikipedia, and have blanked it out (replacing with a redirect). Please do not re-create it. -- Netoholic @ 02:10, 6 Sep 2004 (UTC)
VeryVerily just reverted out changes on the 9/11 attacks article. Rather than doing a revert myself, I just removed the word terrorist, and changed islamic back to islamist. I don't know why VV had to change it again. It seemed pretty much ok this time. Now it's a huge sentence again! -- Rebroad 12:35, 26 Nov 2004 (UTC)
Eric, I had to remove the db tags from the articles that you tagged as part of the nonsense campaign. I'm afraid this does not meet the criteria for speedy deletion. You are welcome to list these articels on WP:VFD and add vfd tags to the articles instead. Cheers. -- DropDeadGorgias (talk) 13:27, Nov 30, 2004 (UTC)

Thanks as well, but I live on the East Coast, and couldn't even make it to the Boston meetup when I lived there. I'm sort of wondering what got me the invite; I suppose I must have contributed to an LA themed article, but I can't for the life of me think of what it was. I've only been to LA once, and I spent basically the entire time lost in traffic. Good luck though. - R. fiend 29 June 2005 02:02 (UTC)
Thanks for the invite. But I don't reside in Los Angeles. I just know a bit about it. I live about 3,000 miles away in New York City. Thanx for the message.
Me and User:SouthernComfort suspect that this anon user is the re-incarnation (if you will) of User:Mansour, who has been attacking not only me, but User:SouthernComfort, User:Zora, and User:SlimVirgin as well, under multiple anon covers (i.e. IP addresses). He has (and continues) to post under various names on the Afghanistan page, on Grand Ayatollah al-Shirazi and Bayazid Bastami among the other pages I recall. He sometimes uses names like Paul Chiu, and at other times, posts anonymously. I cant prove it though, But I have reason to believe that he is one editor, doing so. He is a pain in the rear, and he doesnt give up despite being warned by two admins. As they say: C'EST LA FIN DES HARICOTS.

Hi, I found one of the images you uploaded from the CIA World Factbook. This image didn't have a license tag - all images on Wikipedia must have a license tag so other users know what they can and can't do with them. I added the appropriate tag, but for future reference there is a special tag for content from the Factbook: {{ PD-USGov-CIA-WF}}. Simply add this to the description field when you upload. Thanks! Thanks for adding the Arabic script to List of Spanish words of Arabic origin. Please continue, it's appreciated. Also, there are many other Spanish etymology lists which will (eventually) need the same (because some of the words made a trip through Arabic on their way to Spanish). The Wikiproject No Ads, created as a backlash against the Answers.com deal, has served an important function in providing a space for users to express their disagreement with the Foundation proposal. While the current controversies about userboxes raise questions about political and social advocacy on Wikipedia, there should be greater flexibility regarding advocacy about Wikipedia in the Wikipedia namespace. Reported and linked by Slashdot and other press sources as a unique and spontaneous occurence in Wikipedia history, it has apparently had some impact as, despite being scheduled to begin in January, not a peep has been heard about the trial and proposed sponsored link since the deal's controversial announcement months ago. Currently, however, there is an attempt to delete the project or move it off Wikipedia altogether. Since the Foundation has provided no additional information and has not attempted to answer the specific questions that participants in the project raised, it is unclear if the Answers.com deal has been abandoned or simply delayed. Until the situation becomes more clear, I believe the group should still have a place in the Wikipedia namespace. Sincerely, Tfine80 00:20, 10 February 2006 (UTC)

I've nominated the article West Essex Zapatistas for deletion under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that West Essex Zapatistas satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. I have explained why in the nomination space (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/West Essex Zapatistas. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them. You are free to edit the content of West Essex Zapatistas during the discussion, but please do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top). I've added the "{{ prod}}" template to the article Vishnu sahasranama/Full prayer, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at Talk:Vishnu sahasranama/Full prayer. If you remove the {{ dated prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. -- Benn Newman 04:05, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
I did some research on the matter a few months ago because the copyright term in Mexico got extended from 75 to 100 years. I posted my finds in the talk page of the Copyrights page. The link to the archived post is here. In the specific case of the Presidencia pages, the photographs located at [3] have been released to the public domain. There's some other Presidencia page which releases podcasts under some Creative Commons license.
Unless a specific license is stated, all content should be licensed according to current Mexican copyright law regulations (quite similar to those in the US). As far as I know there is no fair use provision, but I'd need to go over the actual law to refresh my mind. Hope this helps! Regards, -- Run e Welsh | ταλκ 23:43, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on
Rakuto Kasei, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the
criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please
see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{

on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on
the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. RJASE1 Talk 18:08, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Giles_Paxman.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

Eric, please do not use random Internet sources as your primary reference and do read policies applicable to Russian place names ( WP:RUS and WP:NC:CITY#Russia being the most important) before you continue editing in this area. I realize that your edits were in good faith, but, frankly, they are doing more harm than good as they are in complete disregard of existing naming scheme and thus require extensive cleanup. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me, I'll be more than happy to help. I have access to an extensive database of all things related to Russian administrative, territorial, and municipal divisions, which is directly based on relevant Russian legislative documents, so it is far superior to and much more accurate than anything you can freely find on the Internet. Under the
criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{

to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on
the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.-

Thanks for uploading Image:Deal of the Century.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{ GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{ non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

Hi,
I'm wondering, would you object to moving Category:Original images made by Eric Shalov out of Category:Wikipedia images? I think Category:Wikipedia images is useful as a central category for finding other broad categories, and though your images are nice ones, I don't it's helpful navigation-wise to put them in the top-level category ... a bit like having local skepticism in Wikipedia:Contents (as an extreme example).
Your call, really -- if you'd like to keep it as is, that's okay by me, but if you don't care one way or the other I'd suggest moving it out of the main category.
Happy editing (or photographing)!

Idon't know if you inserted the sentence, or if you simply opposed its deletion. Starting a sentence with Perhaps, and making an unsubtantiated claim, it unencyclopedic. You claim that there is a source, and the claims are true, but there is no source/reference following the statement. (Please review: WP:CITE and WP:Verifiability, threshold for inclusion is not "truth" but verifiability). Moreover, while second-hand smoke is undoubtedly unhealthy, the paragraph is talking about air pollution in a metropolitan area through car and factory emissions. I have never heard a phrase that claimed that smoking is a significant environmental pollutant(as implied by the hypothesis [it is, at most, a hypothesis, not a fact if the sentence starts with a "perhaps"]). It reminds me of the "funny tax" in New Zealand to cattle raisers because the flatulences of the cows were "polluting" the environment. But at least, the "tax" was verifiable, even if the levels of pollutants caused by flatulences are hard to measure.
I added the {{cn}} template that can stay for a while. If no reliable and verifiable source is given, I believe the statement should be deleted.

A tag has been placed on Image:Gilchrist olympio.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free image with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria.
If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the image can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{ non-free fair use in|article name that the image is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the image. If the image has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{
hangon}}
to the top of
the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Gilchrist olympio.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

Hello, this is a message from
an automated bot. A tag has been placed on
BT Managed Security Solutions, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be
speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because
BT Managed Security Solutions is blatant
advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting
BT Managed Security Solutions, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at

Thanks for uploading Image:Max-Peter Ratzel.jpg, which you've sourced to http://www.europol.eu/. I noticed that that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the image to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the image has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{ non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the image's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. It's a good floor plan. But you can't go shoving it into a too-small space immediately above a box, without disrupting something. What you have done is orphan a heading from its following text. You need a strategy to fix it. The solution is that the blinking box (I hate boxes) needs to be moved as it doesn't need to go where it is. Hi,
I noticed you listed yourself as a participant of the Energy WikiProject.
There are 2 new outlines in this area that attempt to consolidate Wikipedia's coverage of their respective subjects, gathering and organizing the articles about them into one place and including descriptions for convenience. The purposes of these outlines are to make it easier for readers to survey or review a whole subject, and to choose from Wikipedia's many articles about it.
The new energy outlines are:
Please take a look at them, and....
For more information about the format and functions of outlines, see Wikipedia:Outlines.
Building outlines of existing material (such as Wikipedia) is called " reverse outlining". Reverse outlines are useful as a revision tool, for identifying gaps in coverage and for spotting poor structuring.
Revising a work with multiple articles (such as Wikipedia) is a little different than revising a paper. But the general principles are the same...
As you develop these outlines, you may notice things about the articles they organize. Like what topics are not adequately covered, better ways to structure and present the material, awkward titles, articles that need splitting, article sections lacking {{ Main}} links, etc.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me on my talk page or at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Outlines.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
The Transhumanist

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the

articles for deletion allows discussion to reach

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Massimo Popolizio, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Rostand and Karl Kraus. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The article Charlie Grosso has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other
deletion processes exist. In particular, the
speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and
articles for deletion allows discussion to reach
consensus for deletion. —

Thanks for uploading File:SchoolOfDreams.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. -- B-bot ( talk) 20:21, 18 February 2017 (UTC)
Thank you for uploading File:TJ Border Beach.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
ATTENTION: This is an automated, bot-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot ( talk) 03:00, 2 March 2017 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Nojazz, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mangu ( check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Tymnet FIRN.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. Thanks for uploading File:Arthur Simms (1985).png.
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. -- B-bot ( talk) 02:23, 31 October 2018 (UTC)

Hello, Eric Shalov. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery ( talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Bukowski (upcoming film) is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bukowski (upcoming film) until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Hello, Eric Shalov. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, " Arthur Simms".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia
mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply and remove the {{db-afc}}
, {{db-draft}}
, or {{db-g13}}
code.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! JMHamo ( talk) 21:28, 8 September 2019 (UTC)
The file File:Don Pelayo closeup.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
unused, low-res, no obvious use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other
deletion processes exist. In particular, the
speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and
files for discussion allows discussion to reach
consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot ( talk) 01:00, 11 March 2020 (UTC)

Hey Eric Shalov, it looks like you've got a user script in use by others that has bare javascript global wg-style variables. These are
phab:T72470 deprecated, and while I don't think there's a timeline for their removal, it's been that way for a while. It's usually a straightforward fix, all uses need to use mw.config.get

to mw.config.get('wgTitle')
. There's some more info at

Hi, I found one of the images you uploaded from the CIA World Factbook. This image didn't have a license tag - all images on Wikipedia must have a license tag so other users know what they can and can't do with them.

In case you hadn't noticed, West Essex Zapatistas has been proposed for deletion. NickelShoe ( Talk) 16:17, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
Doing so will not end the discussion. Wnjr 11:53, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

Please
see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{
hangon}}
on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on
the article's talk page explaining your position.
Hello, Eric Shalov. I've removed Image:New map WEB.jpg from your user page, as it is a copyrighted, unlicensed image that is being used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. Unfortunately, by Wikipedia policies, no fair-use images can be used on user pages; please see the ninth item of the Wikipedia fair-use policy and Wikipedia:Removal of fair use images. This image has not been deleted from any articles. If you have any questions, please let me know. — Bkell ( talk) 04:04, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading Image:AmrishPuri.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box.
{{
di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Hi,
I'm wondering, would you object to moving Category:Original images made by Eric Shalov out of Category:Wikipedia images?

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{

You've uploaded File:Rakuto Kasei logo.gif, and indicated that it's used under Wikipedia's rules for non-free images. However, it's not presently used in any articles. Wikipedia policy requires that non-free images be either used or deleted, so if this image isn't used in an article in the next week, it will be deleted.

I'll get back sooner or later and write a much longer section on the architecture. Amandajm ( talk) 09:11, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Hello, do you think you can help me put Chapultepec Castle's coordinates in it's building infobox? I'm putting them in (19.421 and 99.182), but somehow it's comming out as E instead of W for the longitude! Help! I know the coordinates are already on the page, but I'd like to put them inside the infobox. It must be something simple. Thanks so much. C.Kent87 ( talk) 07:51, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:William A Barclay.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sherool (talk) 14:37, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
File:Yogananda Center - Visitor Center and Windmill.jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:Yogananda Center - Visitor Center and Windmill.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:Yogananda Center - Visitor Center and Windmill.jpg]]. Hello Eric Shalov! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 5 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 785 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{ unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

Hi,
I noticed you listed yourself as a participant of the Energy WikiProject.

On 17 July 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Miguel Ángel Mancera, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Miguel Ángel Mancera received 63% of votes in the 2012 head of government election of Mexico City, 40% more than the second place? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Miguel Ángel Mancera. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page ( here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. The article David Mays has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other
deletion processes exist. In particular, the
speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and
articles for deletion allows discussion to reach
consensus for deletion.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current
Arbitration Committee election. The
Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia
arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose
site bans,
topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The
arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to
review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on

The article Charlie Grosso has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other
deletion processes exist.

Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot ( talk) 17:05, 27 October 2018 (UTC)

Hello, Eric Shalov. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, " Arthur Simms".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your contributions to Jennifer Beveridge. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Broc ( talk) 07:55, 6 March 2024 (UTC)
