Hi! I think I didn't get to properly explain the revert of this edit. A year or two ago, MOS:DABNAME was changed so that it now also mentions the option to include people with the name in the usual "People" section. Of course, it doesn't explicitly say "if there are only two persons with the name, then consider including them in the Other uses", but that should go without saying: entries about people aren't subject to radically different rules of organisation than anything else on dab pages. – Uanfala (talk) 23:18, 26 February 2022 (UTC)
...but that should go without saying...No worries. I've always took it as gospel, probably lulled by the specific instruction to place it "below the main disambiguation list". I'm not tied to it, but it seemed to be how the MOS was written—to include the header. But yeah, my cutoff was 1 entry, not [enter your cutoff]. Cheers.— Bagumba ( talk) 02:13, 27 February 2022 (UTC)

Just wanted to say thanks for attempting to try and solve my question. I won't try and implement it cause there is someone who keeps reverting whatever I add even if it is not controversial or it is a fact. I look forwards to working with you in the future on UCLA pages. I am through with the baseball stuff cause this person is frustrating and unwilling to at least meet me halfway on this topic. GoWarriors151718 ( talk) 08:27, 2 March 2022 (UTC)
Yeah. I tend to agree with you. There have been moments this season like beating Villanova that showed that we were a great team building on the momentum from last year and then there were some that made people think that last year was an anomaly. This weekend’s game is going to tell a lot. And I have another question for you. How much do you know about the ucla mens volleyball program? I started a general page for ucla mens volleyball and I was wondering if you could assist with it. GoWarriors151718 ( talk) 03:58, 5 March 2022 (UTC)

There is a tool where you can look up a person’s voting record at AfD discussions - do you know where that is? Thanks Rikster2 ( talk) 23:52, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
If you look at the edits by User:Mandomanny313, they are primarily deletions. Usually of text that is supported by proper RS refs. Usually without any explanation. Over many pages. I think this is highly disruptive. And too much for me as a non-admin to address, though I have tried politely communicating with the editor. Help? I see that you have run into the same with him (and he has simply reverted you). -- 2603:7000:2143:8500:1C9A:BB7F:A5F9:95DA ( talk) 22:26, 11 March 2022 (UTC)
Re: this edit and this one: why do you interpret my edits, which you reverted, as a "fundamental change"? The requirements of NORG apply to sports organizations - not the GNG - regardless of what the text of NSPORTS says. The same is true of NBASIC for biographies; the differences from the GNG are small (and only marginally restrictive), but it is NBASIC and not the GNG that applies to biographies per WP:CONLEVEL, regardless of the text of NSPORT. So what is "fundamental" about fixing a long-standing error? It reduces confusion, without making it any easier e.g. to defend undersourced articles, and it doesn't change the status of the sport-specific criteria at all. I am perplexed. Newimpartial ( talk) 02:14, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
seemingdependence. NBASIC covers biographies. It doesn't matter what NSPORTS says - ANYBIO has to meet NBASIC or one of the other BIO SNGs that are independent of NBASIC, and BIOs that fail can't fall back on the GNG any more than ORGs can. And there isn't really much daylight between NBASIC and the GNG anyway: they both require multiple sources offering significant coverage. So I completely fail to see any "fundamental change" there - it sounds hyperbolic, to be honest. Newimpartial ( talk) 04:02, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
Looks like this was closed with all “one game” elements removed (proposal 3). I pretty strongly disagree a consensus was actually reached, and also think there is a fundamental misunderstanding of what the “one game threshold” signifies (it’s not the act of stepping in the field/court, it’s that for top leagues a total career is assumed if they make it to that level). I expect there will be a big push at AfD from some of the principals from that discussion. Rikster2 ( talk) 12:32, 7 March 2022 (UTC)
Hello, I will keep it short as I see you have already run into this problem.
User Mandomanny313 is not stopping with the persistent deletions, despite several warnings (many quite frequent to each other).

Looks like two years ago you made Jennifer Bates as a redirect pointing to Jennifer Bate. Which was OK, because we didn't have any Jennifer Bates articles at the time. But now we do, Jennifer Bates (labor organizer). Would it be OK with you if that last article were de-parentheticaled and took the place of the redirect? We can put a nice
redirect at the top so people mistyping will be able to get to the right place anyway.
If you're OK with it, would you do the move? See, you're an admin, and I don't know if those of us without a mop can move an article over a redirect like that. Some years ago it definitely wasn't possible without a mop, though it may be now. -- GRuban ( talk) 19:09, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
In removing my statement on Kyrie Irving’s page about him being regarded as one of the best ball-handlers in NBA history, you stated that it is not typically in the lead. However, on Jamal Crawford’s page, a similar statement is literally in the second sentence of the lead paragraph. I feel that it was unnecessary to remove it entirely, it can still be utilized on the page. AfroWorld33 ( talk) 16:51, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
That type of detail can be in a "Player profile" section in the body. The sources you cited didn't seem to be reliable either. As for the Crawford article, it's an WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS case. It'd be more compelling if it was an example from a feature artice (or even a good article). Hey. Do you have any advice on what I should do next regarding the Ed Book height dispute I have with User:Westburn World. Hello Bagumba.
I wanted to ask a question regarding your revert of my edit. I agree that freshman awards should be considered less notable than the first & second-team conference awards, but I'm not sure how to handle it in reference to the WP:NFLINFOBOX page. If I were to start ordering them the same way that Josh Rosen's accomplishments are listed, how should I reference the rational behind those changes in my edit summary? I ask not to question you, as in any instance of dispute I would always defer to you, but I like to be consistent in these changes that I make. 14:10, 5 April 2022 (UTC) Hey man im josh ( talk)
Not sure if you're aware of this, but I discovered a second account of an editor that you're quite familiar with. The editor in question is
GoWarriors151718, and their second account is
GoBruins0708. Obviously, when you compare the two names, they are very similar. I also went and entered the two accounts into the
Editor Interaction Analyser, and it shows that they have interacted with 9 different pages. In addition, in an edit summary of a
talk page message while using their main account, they wrote, "Logged into the wrong account

talk page message from GoBruins0708, clearly trying to be a completely different person, but I was easily able to figure out that they are associated with GoWarriors151718.

Hello, Baguma, any chance you could do something about User:TheDukeOfOceanus who keeps vandalising the page? Take a look at the page history and you'll see what's been happening over the past year or so. NemesisAT ( talk) 20:30, 25 February 2022 (UTC)
Hi. Do you know how to change the rankings movement template legend so that a dash (—) is equal to not ranked in the weekly poll rather than NR? I noticed today that someone changed some syntax on that template but I don’t know if they are directly connected or not. GoWarriors151718 ( talk) 19:28, 28 February 2022 (UTC)

That’s alright. Thanks anyway. Hopefully we will get a much needed win tomorrow. GoWarriors151718 ( talk) 04:31, 5 March 2022 (UTC)
That was a great weekend for our basketball team. Hopefully we will make a long run in the postseason now. I appreciate your help throughout this year. GoWarriors151718 ( talk) 19:42, 7 March 2022 (UTC)
I suggest at first a week or a month of being blocked from edits.

Regards.— Bagumba ( talk) 17:41, 28 March 2022 (UTC)Significant information should not appear in the lead if it is not covered in the remainder of the article...
Hey. Do you have any advice on what I should do next regarding the Ed Book height dispute I have with User:Westburn World. I took it to WT:Basketball, which had no traction, and sought clarity on their talk page, to which they did not address my concerns. I fear if I revert again, they will also revert again and I don't want to get blocked for a stupid edit war. I would need someone to back me up regarding the addition of unsourced content. Thanks.— Preceding unsigned comment added by DaHuzyBru ( talk • contribs) 14:21, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
131.204.254.86 keeps vandalizing List of NCAA Division I men's basketball season blocks leaders, claiming that it's "total" blocks in a season that should be listed. Obviously that's not the case. Can you please either block that IP - listed to Auburn University and has a history of vandalism anyway - or semi-protect the article itself? SportsGuy789 ( talk) 14:53, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
I have an idea for a new Wikipedia page. The topic for this new page is: Jaylen Clark. I think he qualifies as a "notable" sports figure. Anyway, I am going to start a draft here.
". So, it's pretty clear that it's the same editor using different accounts. I discovered this when I received a
talk page message from GoBruins0708, clearly trying to be a completely different person, but I was easily able to figure out that they are associated with GoWarriors151718.

I know it looks bad but I am a relative of GoBruins0708. I made some mistakes and I am sorry for my actions. If you want to block me, then go ahead. I didn’t think that his actions would put me in hot water. Perhaps a block or something on us both would be appropriate to allow us to understand this. I am sorry for the chaos that ensued from both of our actions. GoWarriors151718 ( talk) 16:56, 7 April 2022 (UTC)

On 9 May 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article NBA Comeback Player of the Year Award, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the NBA Comeback Player of the Year Award was canceled, reportedly because of drugs? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/NBA Comeback Player of the Year Award. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page ( here's how, NBA Comeback Player of the Year Award), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
