I got your message, and wanted to explain why I made the post instead of disputing it. I actually had a reliable source at the ready when I was writing it, but the link I wanted to use was behind a paywall. I would have had to pay for a subscription in order to read the article in full just to verify the mention. There was also a Twitter link being planned as a backup, but I would have preferred it coming from the official company the person worked for; even having a blue checkmark alone is not enough. When I reviewed the 2021 NBA Playoffs page and saw that somebody already made the mention that I wanted to make in the 2021 NBA Finals page, I treated that as fair game: because someone already made a mention of it, it felt safe to do the same on that page.
Here is the link that I originally wanted to use: http://www.greenbaypressgazette.com/story/sports/nba/bucks/2021/07/20/bucks-win-nba-finals-toughness-hustle-embody-milwaukee/8022328002/

The Free Agency Moratorium is a negotiation period from Aug. 2-6 in which teams may not sign most free agents or make trades ... Any deals struck during the moratorium period are characterized as agreements, but do not count toward team salary and are not binding for the player or team. Either side can back out in this situation — a scenario that took place in 2015 when DeAndre Jordan reneged on his verbal agreement with the Dallas Mavericks to instead re-sign with the then-incumbent LA Clippers.[1] — Bagumba ( talk) 05:08, 30 July 2021 (UTC)

What was unacceptable about the edit? Everything is 100% true. Because it's not quoted in a newspaper or online? I am a sports publication collector and received return e-mails from the NBA, the Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucks that there will be no 2021 NBA Finals game publications for the first time (in a non-Covid year) since the 1950's. I was at this sporting event -- and the question I heard most "Where are the game programs?". Why, because with the elimination of physical tickets, fans had no keepsake of the event. The Milwaukee Journal will release a hard copy book after the demand was noted. What is not a fact? It can be looked up. There are NO NBA Finals Game Programs since the 2019 NBA Finals, dating back to the 1950's. Why is this information being buried? Does someone not want this to be published?— Preceding unsigned comment added by Packman22 ( talk • contribs) 06:12, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
Even if you are sure something is true, it must be verifiable before you can add it.Specifically, they must be supportable by published reliable sources. Readers need to be able to verify on their own anything that is published here. That's the main reason it was removed for now. Bear in mind that another policy Wikipedia has is WP:ONUS:
While information must be verifiable to be included in an article, not all verifiable information needs to be included in an article. All edits are by consensus. Regarding your comment about "information being buried", Wikipedia only reflects what is in reliable sources. It's not for editors to perform original research; there are other platforms for that. Let me know if your further questions.— Bagumba ( talk) 06:31, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
The only way to verify in writing that a NBA Finals Game Program was NOT published in 2021 is by including the 3 e-mails I received from the sources themselves: The NBA, Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns. I also contacted the NBA publisher, PSP Sports, who said "none will be published for 2021". My goal was to let people know. No public information exists on this subject. I own my company in an unrelated field and haven't got a clue about the journalistic rules and regulations and editing process, I only felt this notation would help explain to people what happened. There are plenty of people who attended that have been wondering; especially when something is discontinued after 65 years! That why I called the organizations to find out first hand.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Packman22 ( talk • contribs) 06:50, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
The organizations would never release anything via a press release or social media. They were quietly not saying a word so they could eliminate all printed publications and that's what prompted people to call. One representative said he returned over 50 calls asking why they were not published. The only media sources I found were Letters to Editor.
According to reliable sources this should also be removed from the "2021 NBA Finals" page because there is no citation to prove these games were actually on these networks:
"Locally, the Finals aired on radio on KMVP-FM in Phoenix and WTMJ in Milwaukee.[citation needed]"
Unfortunately, my first post will also be my last. Life is too short.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:246:c001:54c0:8c55:e611:5b1f:7f44 ( talk) 07:32, 24 August 2021 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Pizztov. I am responding to the following message from you:
Hello, I'm Bagumba. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Killing of Breonna Taylor, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. —Bagumba (talk) 01:12, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
I have the full citation you requested. This wasn't an oversight; rather, I intended for my addition to be included among the three citations to the sentence I added to. However, having read those sources thoroughly, I think a new source is best. I read over the link regarding referencing. Having observed that it may be higher level editors who are encouraged to add a citation before removing an addition unless they believe no reliable source will be found, I wish to kindly ask if you might add the citation on me behalf. My primary reason for this request is that I notice in the three citations I looked at from the article, there is a phrase regarding original sources having been archived. I located the archive and believe I do not have access to it. Thus, I could benefit from your assistance. This is the full citation:
Duvall, Tessa (April 15, 2021). “Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly: What to know about the Louisville cop shot in Breonna Taylor raid.” Louisville Courier Journal. Retrieved September 16, 2021. “Within minutes, a volley of bullets would leave Mattingly shot in the thigh, his femoral artery severed, and Taylor, a 26-year-old Black woman, dead on the floor of her home.”
Thank you, Pizztov Pizztov ( talk) 02:32, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
I located the archive and believe I do not have access to it.: Can you elaborate on your access issue? At any rate, the archive there is just a backup, in case the original link is no longer accessible. Regards. — Bagumba ( talk) 05:25, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
Hi again. I was doing some rankings updates on individual PAC-12 season pages and I realized that the graphic used on the individual team pages has a flaw with it and that is that they have a spot for preseason and a spot for week 1. I found a different graphic on the PAC-12 football season page that eliminated the week 1 column and I was wondering if it would be better to convert them from the current graphics to the one shown on the PAC-12 season page but only have the individual teams rankings week to week shown. Bagumba, I believe you in your assertion that Enyart died on September 12 and not the 13th. However, the sources I was able to locate all referenced the 13th. As I mentioned in the edit summary, press releases are not acceptable as reliable sources and especially one that comes from a person's website, which violates the two policies I mentioned. Can you assist in locating a proper, credible source for the date change? I will help, as well. Sorry about the reversion, but we have to edit based upon sources and not what we think (or even know) to be true. God bless and happy editing. MarydaleEd ( talk) 05:41, 22 September 2021 (UTC)
Hi Bagumba, thank you for your explanation. First, I beg your pardon I put the source in the wrong place, for sure I made a mess in the edit page. The cited excel file is the result of deep searches on past newspapers, so it's quite impossible to report all sources. I would just note that in the page are already reported a few "unofficial" stats (quadruple and quintuple double), so I just added another one, and yes, maybe is better to add 'unofficial' somewhere in the text. Thanks for the article. After looking at it, I know what I did wrong and what I will improve on in case I cross paths with another person that I have a disagreement with. I am sorry that I engaged with him after he had left me the rude sounding note. I feel like he could have said something like "sorry but wikipedia is first come first serve when it comes to edits." rather than just a flat no followed by the explanation. I just feel like the word choice was slightly harsher than what I would have used. I hope you can understand at least a little bit from my perspective. I have decided to abort future edits on that page so they won't have to deal with me again. He/She left another note, tagged me, and I am scared to read it. GoWarriors151718 ( talk) 06:41, 27 September 2021 (UTC)
Bear in mind that the editor may not have thought they were being uncivil; Wikipedia is edited by people from many different backgrounds, and standards vary.Assuming good faith is a standard guideline for all of us on WP. That said, it's your prerogative where you choose to edit and whether you choose to follow up on this ( WP:CHOICE). Something to consider if you make similar requests to "be in charge" in the future, might be to explain to the other party how your suggestion is beneficial to you both and avoiding any misconception of WP:OWNERSHIP, which I'm sure is not your intent. Cheers.— Bagumba ( talk) 07:21, 27 September 2021 (UTC)

Even if you are sure something is true, it must be verifiable before you can add it.As such, it limits inclusion of some things that might, in fact, be true. Some alternatives are that Dulcich might provide the information for a reliable, secondary source to publish, which you can then cite. Or he might self publish the information himself.

I know I've already brought it up at WT:BASKETBALL, but would you be willing to restore semi-protection on the Shanghai Sharks article? Previous protections were implemented to prevent the ongoing vandalism that started last month following the Philadelphia 76ers loss in this year's NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals, and it appears to have resumed following the last protection's expiration.

Okay, thanks. I was pretty sure I had seen one of these pages created automatically, but I didn't keep any notes so maybe I was confused. I'll hold off until I see it again. Though I may add a different {{efn}} saying that it's sometimes necessary to create the "Foo (disambiguation)" redirect, since I think the text is confusing as it stands. Changing the colors should not necessarily be too hard especially if we can get in touch with the folks that seem to edit those team pages the most often.
