The result of the move request was: Moved. I'm also redirecting Resident Evil 3 to the 1999 game based on the below discussion. Anyone who disagrees may take this to WP:RFD. ( non-admin closure) Iffy★ Chat -- 12:43, 20 December 2019 (UTC)

Resident Evil 3 (2020 video game) – Nemesis is the real Resident Evil 3 for years until this was announced and having the remake (essentially the same game) to have this title is
WP:RECENTISM.

Shouldn't this article simply be titled "Resident Evil 3"? After all the original was titled Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. AnddoSolid ( talk) —Preceding undated comment added 22:13, 10 January 2020 (UTC)
A hk01.com article points out that the game also generated some controversy in China regarding the safe code being shared with the date from the Mukden incident. Should we mention it? Xyuehong ( talk) 13:11, 26 March 2020 (UTC)
It states here on Wikipedia that digital sales accounted for half of RE3's two million units sold, but the source cited for this makes no mention of physical vs digital. So, either the bit about digital sales accounting for half should be removed (as it's speculation) or a proper source for this divide needs to be provided. I believe Resident Evil: Resistance should not redirect to this page as it is its own game when players purchase Resident Evil 3, you cannot play Resident Evil: Resistance within Resident Evil 3, it isn't exactly a "mode" inside Resident Evil 3.
Official Capcom sources have also mentioned Resident Evil: Resistance as its own game instead of a mode such as in the following links:

Per WP:SDJARGON: "avoid duplicating information that is already in the title (but don't worry too much if you need to repeat a word or two for context)" and "avoid jargon, and use simple, readily comprehensible terms that do not require pre-existing detailed knowledge of the subject" lead me to think that just going with "Survival horror remake" is a downgrade in terms of explaining what the article is. For a non-gamer, "survival horror" could sound like a film genre and even if we want to avoid using "video game" there, we can probably think of a better replacement. ~ Dissident93 ( talk) 10:38, 14 June 2022 (UTC)
