Hello! I want to write an article on wikipedia but my english is not very good is it okay if I write articles with grammatical mistakes? -- YakshPatel1501 ( talk) 09:53, 20 January 2024 (UTC) reply

Question from JerseyRingo (12:03, 18 February 2024)

Hello, thanks for being there. I was trying to update details on a page of an author I admire after listening to a recent podcast interview that was released. a lot of details of his writing history were shared and I thought I should update his Wiki page with those added details (the first time that I ever attempted to edit anything on Wiki). I was altered that I should not have done these edits and that I was approaching an editing battle! OH MY! That is not my purpose at all!! So, how should I approach this? I thought you just go in and change (or add) content and link the citation to the edit...no? Is there something more (or a first step I missed) that I should have done as a first step? -- JerseyRingo ( talk) 12:03, 18 February 2024 (UTC) reply

The first step to improving Wikipedia is to be bold, which is exactly what you did. Most of the time, bold edits are accepted by others and that's the end of the matter. Some of the time, as happened here, bold edits are disputed and the edit gets reverted. After your edit was reverted, the next step in the standard dispute resolution process is to discuss the matter on the talk page of the author in question. See Wikipedia:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle for further details. IffyChat -- 12:16, 18 February 2024 (UTC) reply

Question from Wworger (20:01, 20 March 2024)

My co-author and I have recently (2024) published a new book about the Sharpeville Massacre of 21 March 1960. Using police documentation in the South African archives we have been able to show that considerably more people were killed (at least 91 and not 69) and injured (at least 238 and not 180) by the South African police that day. My question is should I go into the Sharpeville 1960 page and start making changes or is ther a more formal approach to adopt since the issue of numbers is of considerable importance, especially given that tomorrow is the 64th anniversary of the massacre? -- Wworger ( talk) 20:01, 20 March 2024 (UTC) reply

Hello! What you have done is original research and should not be added to Wikipedia by those that conducted the research. If you have been able to get your research published in a reliable source, then you can consider making an edit request to allow independent editors to consider the proposed changes. This fusion of medicine, combined with the basic concepts of quantum physics, is what I would like to explore in my proposed Wiki Page.

Hi, I just wanted to ask you about my first article, I just did a litle revision and I was wandering how long takes the review process. -- INFODOMAIN100 ( talk) 18:57, 24 April 2024 (UTC) reply

Welcome! I've added a template to the top of User:INFODOMAIN100/sandbox; when you think your draft is ready for review, press the "Submit your draft for review!" button. Before you submit for review, you should translate the article in to English, as this is the English Wikipedia, not the Spanish Wikipedia; also, you should cite your sources, so that reviewers can see why the subject of the article is notable and therefore sutable for inclusion on Wikipedia. Reviews can take any length of time, from hours to months, as reviews are not done in any specific order. IffyChat -- 19:28, 24 April 2024 (UTC) reply

Thank you for disclosing that you are paid to edit Wikipedia. Before you make any more edits, you must ensure you are fully compliant with WP:PAID, as this requirement comes from the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use. Paid editors should not edit the articles directly, but should discuss the proposed changes on the talk page of the article and allow independent editors to review the changes.

Question from Dr. Faizal Bawa (13:17, 24 March 2024)

Hello Iffy;

I am a physician and Assistant Professor in Muskoka, affiliated with our local hospital, and the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. I published an article in the peer-reviewed Canadian Family Physician journal a few years ago, reflecting my description of the "Human Limitation Principle". This fusion of medicine, combined with the basic concepts of quantum physics, is what I would like to explore in my proposed Wiki Page.

My March 2007 article can be sited as well as other relevant information.

I was hoping for your assistance in this capacity, considering your experience and knowledge.

Thank you kindly. Dr. Faizal Bawa MD CCFP Asst. Prof. NOSM -- Dr. Faizal Bawa ( talk) 13:17, 24 March 2024 (UTC) reply

Question from INFODOMAIN100 (18:57, 24 April 2024)

Question from Evedrivee (11:11, 28 April 2024)

Hi, please I'm writing an article on my sandbox User:Evedrivee/sandbox, please check if it will approved when summited or If I need to wikify it more. Thank you -- Evedrivee ( talk) 11:11, 28 April 2024 (UTC) reply

Hello! I can't guarantee that your draft will be approved when submitted, but after taking a quick look at it, I don't see any major issues that would cause a quick rejection. You can keep improving your draft even while you wait for a review. IffyChat -- 12:13, 28 April 2024 (UTC) reply
