Should there be a note about white corn not being a good source of Luteins? I ask this since "corn" is listed and linked to as a good source of Luteins. I know that yellow corn is (5,276 micrograms versus the 279 in white corn as-per the USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference) a good source of Luteins. I have yet to check out other forms of corn/maize due to a time crunch. Jamorton 02:02, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

Why is there no mention of Lutein in the reproductive system? What is its role and where/how is it produced in response to Luteinizing Hormone? Anyone? Horia 23:28, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

I see that a citation is needed in the section talking about lutein and zeaxanthin possibly preventing cataracts. I would like to offer this link as a possibility: http://www.the-lasik-directory.com/article_lutein_eye.html How can I add this link? Is this an acceptable resource? In this article it is written that supplementation with lutein and zeaxanthin lower the risk of cataract formation; and there are studies cited wich conclude so. In the article about zeaxanthin it is written that there is insufficient evidence to suggest that supplementation with zeaxanthin and lutein lowers the risk of cataract formation; and thee is a study cited wich concludes so. Now wich one should I accept? 84.0.42.178 ( talk) 12:06, 18 July 2012 (UTC)
