Diveyevsky District ( Russian: Диве́евский райо́н) is an administrative district ( raion), one of the forty in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Russia. [1] Municipally, it is incorporated as Diveyevsky Municipal District. [3] It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 844.8 square kilometers (326.2 sq mi). [1] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Diveyevo. [1] Population: 16,618 ( 2010 Census); [2] 17,848 ( 2002 Census); [5] 18,375 ( 1989 Soviet census). [6] The population of Diveyevo accounts for 38.6% of the district's total population. [2]
