Nominator's rationale: A quick scan through all of the articles listed in this category demonstrates that none of the women named here held the position/title of "queen consort". Thus, the name of the category is misleading at best. I suggest changing the name to "Saudi royal consorts", which is consistent with various other categories such as
Category:Polish royal consorts,
Category:Austrian royal consorts,
Category:Jordanian royal consorts, etc. Keivan.fTalk 23:13, 27 January 2024 (UTC)reply
Is queen consort ever a position or title?
Marcocapelle (
talk) 07:55, 28 January 2024 (UTC)reply
The title may explicitly exist in the United Kingdom but across countries I would take it as a mere descriptor. In that respect I do not see any difference between "queen consort" and "royal consort".
Marcocapelle (
talk) 13:26, 28 January 2024 (UTC)reply
No such title legally exists in the UK either. The wife of the king is
legally the queen.
Queen consort is just a descriptive term used for women who assume the title of "Queen" through marriage and share their husband's rank. Specifically in Arab countries and some parts of the world the wife of the monarch has to be bestowed with this title. Which is why
Rania is the current "Queen of Jordan" but her mother-in-law
Muna was only a princess, even though he was a king's wife. Other examples are
Fahda bint Falah Al Hithlain (the current king of Saudi Arabia's wife who is not a queen either),
Princess Lalla Salma of Morocco and
Sabika bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa of Bahrain. None of these women have been titled "The Queen" and to categorize them as such is misleading. The term "royal consort" would be the better phrase to use here (it encompasses both
princesses consort and any future potential queens consort if a future Saudi king decides that his wife should be titled "The Queen"). Keivan.fTalk 16:17, 28 January 2024 (UTC)reply
In the UK (and probably all European monarchies past and present), the wife of the King is the Queen.

Category:Wives of Ibn Saud. I don't think that a country can have 22 queens (although in 1953 the UK had 3). So by default royal consort is probably a safer expression, as for the countries cited above, unless there is convincing evidence that an individual is titled otherwise.

Comment I think disfigurement can be defining for some characters, like
Quasimodo or
Erik (The Phantom of the Opera). Maybe this requires a cleanup rather than outright merging. I don't think it's always a "disability" so if it really wasn't defining, the merge would need to be selective.

Why the change from person first to identity first? This really doesn't address the concern. How is disfigured defining and distinct from disability? It seems very subjective, and also takes a really narrow view of the term disabled.
Mason (
talk) 04:21, 20 January 2024 (UTC)reply
A disfigurement is a permanent physical alteration. A disability makes it harder for someone to do certain things. A disfigurement can be disabling, but the opposite is not necessarily true. For example, a person may have recovered from a bad burn or scar, that has not had permanent disabling effects, but still have a negative social stigma due to their looks. It's enough that disfigured and disabled characters should be in both categories.

Nominator's rationale: I'm not sure that this intersection of type of crime, gender, and age is a notable intersection. I'm on the fence, and figured it was worth bringing to CFD to get some opinions
Mason (
talk) 21:15, 11 January 2024 (UTC)reply
Oppose. This category is numerically sustainable, and I would argue that this specific intersection is notable in and of itself, because of the relative statistical rarity of murders committed by female children and teenagers, similarly to
Category:Female child soldiers. This nomination seems very arbitrary.
AHI-3000 (

What makes you say that? I saw it, while checking if any death/assassination categories seemed overpopulated, wasn't sure that it was defining, and nominated it to get some additional opinions.
Mason (
talk) 23:29, 11 January 2024 (UTC)reply
Category:Female murderers and
Category:Murder committed by minors both exist because the article subjects they cover are very notably defined because of the demographic anomalies of homicide committed by perpetrators who are female or underage respectively, and this is doubled if the killer happens to be both. So what's the big deal if there's another subcategory that intersects both of them, it doesn't make it any less of a defining trait, and I believe the opposite is true, it's even more defining.
AHI-3000 (
talk) 23:56, 11 January 2024 (UTC)reply
It's not doubled by that at all. You have to prove that both combined is a separately defining grouping. In other words, female children have to be separately notable to just females in general. I don't think you can prove that, though if you can, you should probably demonstrate the evidence.

Marcocapelle (

Comment I think disfigurement can be defining for some characters, like
Quasimodo or

Oppose – looking at the bigger picture, "Category:Museums established in ..." and "Category:Art museums and galleries established in ..." are well-populated, enabling finding museums and galleries by year of establishment. Why pick on 18th-century cultural heritage? —
Jonathan Bowen (
talk) 11:22, 27 January 2024 (UTC)reply
Because there are only 1-3 in scattered years in the 18th century. It is far from well-populated in the 18th century. It is more useful at the century and decade levels for the 18th century. Seems pretty obvious. –
Aidan721 (

And
WP:OCYEAR: instead of grouping by year, group by decade. And then diffuse the by decade categories by year only when necessary. –

Category:Centuries in Sochi after the merge. (Only page in 20th-century in Sochi is already in the History of Sochi category)

The result of the discussion was:merge. Both of the arguments against merging were weak and did not sufficiently address the merging rationale.

AHI-3000 (
talk) 21:19, 11 January 2024 (UTC)reply

Dual merge Per nom. Would seem to violate
WP:OCEGRS. "Can a valid, encyclopedic main article be written for this grouping?" The answer may be true with female murderers in general, but not for this intersection.

Oppose This is basically a "murder by
girls" category, and I think it could serve as a subcategory of
Category:Girls.
