Welcome to WikiProject Tennis, a project aiming to improve and sustain consistency with
tennis-related articles. The project's aim is to create and maintain Wikipedia's structure and information for tennis, through creation of
categories,
cleanup of need-to-improve articles, and
assessment of individual articles.
Create an article for every player who has reached at least the quarterfinals in a singles event or the semifinals in a doubles event at a Grand Slam tournament.
Add 'Performance Timeline' sections to relevant player articles.
For continued excellence in maintaining the quality of tennis related articles or to those giving great assistance and time to WikiProject Tennis. ~~~~
If you wish to join the Tennis project, just add your name at the bottom of this list. Ideally, with the four Tildes (like ~~~~)

Ninney (
talk·contribs) – My great ways to contribute would be by making minor edits/corrections to articles (e.g., typos, fixing links, adding references to new secondary sources)
JGab12 (
talk·contribs·logs) - Updating Canadian and from Americas players templates, adding results/actualized data of Canadian players, starting Canadian players articles, updating tournaments draws
Ingdalevri (
talk·contribs·logs) - Updating tennis seasons of top players, looking to create articles about Indian players. Will also update statistics and tournament results.
MasterMind5991 (
talk·contribs) - creating articles for tournament draws and just general stuff. I also work on season articles for several players as well.
Geelcat (
talk·contribs) Davis Cup representatives, rankings and performance timeline updates
Luisftd (
talk·contribs) Improving short, Stub and Start-level player biographies (ATP and WTA, I make no distinction between them) with references, basic career outlines, and results; Adding articles to the Grand Slam project in the Doubles (which are more lacking)
ARichster (
talk·contribs) Inclusion and relevant references to and comparisons, notes re Wheelchair Tennis Champions at Slams. I invite discussion and inclusion of wheelchair records at the majors and integration. I note that my inclusions in this regard were deleted with the comment "the main events are implied. Juniors and invitational events are also excluded." Invitational events are not "open" events and are entertainment--not open competition. As for juniors, maybe juniors should be included but by nature that category is very limited since all will age out shortly. It is not a professional tournament. No Wheelchair Tennis categories are included in this article though these are professional ITF ranked players who play throughout the year and compete for purse money. This was the 10th year at the US Open and two wheelchair tennis matches were played on Arthur Ashe during the second week. If we start saying what are the "main event" we are on a slippery slope backwards. And the editor removed even the note stating what the limitations of the article were. The concept of what tennis is needs to be more inclusive that presuming it is those things one merely already knows about without noting that the sport is evolving
Qwerty284651 (
talk·contribs) Focused mainly on Big Four records, as well as, Open Era and all-time related tennis statistics and records. Broadening my knowledge about doubles in the top tier tournaments: Masters, Slams, Tour Finals and Olympics and other areas of tennis.
Bolorm (
talk·contribs) - Mainly WTA fan but I can do big ATP tournaments as well!
ChuckieFigh (
talk·contribs) - Follow the sport closely, do tournament updates. Would love to work on side projects adding information currently missing on Wikipedia.
Kxcii (
talk·contribs) - Updating the Days of the Year Project to include tennis players. So far added the entire WTA top 200 or so players as notable birthdays. Also adding in-line citations for existing entries by other users to avoid future removal. Additionally, interested in improving the article for Anett Kontaveit with another user.
