- I remember him as a good Wikipedian, but his notability is indeed very questionable (news reports about his death fall under WP:NOTNEWS).

WP:UPPERCASE problem. Are you thinking of the "
Wikipedia is not a newspaper" and does not engage in original reporting part, or the "most newsworthy events do not qualify for inclusion" part?
