On the redirect ... hmmm, it looks like that bit below the line ("This is a redirect from a page that has been moved/renamed...") has been added recently to moved pages that are now a redirect. I've certainly never seen it before, but when I look at some of the redirect pages for articles I have moved from userspace, it appears on them as well. Must be an across-the-board change. No, a page move will always automatically leave a redirect. I was always under the impression that a post-move redirect in userspace could not be deleted because it would affect the edit history, but I've just spent some time looking around various help pages and policy pages and now I'm not so sure! You may be able to request deletion of the redirect by putting this at the top of the page: {{db-g7}} (this is the speedy deletion template for "author requests deletion"). Try it on one; I'm not sure if it is "allowed", but let me know either way! It was my mistake to remove the picture as you pointed out on my talk page.

I was going to contact you about Elkman Infobox Generator, which would simplify your editing if you are willing to use it. Existing and some other properties with refnums before some date in 2010 have the infobox set out with the refnum. Having the refnum keeps the page off of the right hand box for Wikipedia talk:National Register of Historic Places, which is the list I have been fixing. The NRIS database and the elkman infobox generator are not guaranteed to be free from errors, so it is good to look at your sources also.

I have noticed that you have made heavy use of NRHP.com, which is useful, but it is just a commercial listing of the same NRIS database. But NRHP.com does not discriminate. A small fraction of its listings were never listed (e.g. owner objection, etc) or removed (delisted). So some caution must be applied to that and other lists that copy the NRIS data.

To answer another question of yours, I can't put the maps on those sites. If you can supply the geocoordinates for the site and set " | locmapin = Mississippi," the map will be generated. Good wishes in adding to MS sites. KudzuVine ( talk) 18:06, 18 January 2014 (UTC) reply

you still manage to catch articles which your reqphoto seem so incredibly absurd. Campbell barracks actually has signs that say no photographs, believe it or not. In all WP:AGF - think of something else please. It is a military establishment that has strict control on public access and is not the sort of place where even media with permits are allowed much leeway. I am not the owner of anything on wikipedia - look at the CC business - nothing is owned, but I do know common sense when it comes to military sites. Have fun when you are in perth, but from your tagging isolated rocks in tasmania you give me no confidence that you know what you are tagging most of the time. Just a reminder, if I see a request and I know the location or the person, which from my experience it will not be legally or practically possible to get a CC based photo and see it as a ridiculous request, I will revert it, regardless of your personal feelings - specially in the example of the campbell barracks - which could get a person into legal problems. First its only notability was from a deadlink based on none other than a liberal party website. There was no attempt to discern the denomination, in either the lead and only sentence, in the title of the article, or in the project tag at the rear (Christianity is irrelevent and a pointless indicator).

If it had been created in good faith, the denomination (Anglican) should have been identified in the category, in the lead sentence, and some effort beyond a liberal party unstable website refernce, as well as an Anglicanism project tag. First WikiProject Perth no longer exists as such, you have registered in an inactive project, almost 90% of the peoples names on that list are no longer active or regular editors here on wikipedia en. Try finding the talk page for the project - it redirects to the WA project. Someone forgot to turn out the lights.

Second, before you get too carried away with offers of photographs, please take a very close look at

As I warned you if you are just from the uk - it can kill (I know of a number people who have died from incurable skin cancer/melanoma here in western australia :( ) Your isolated thing doesnt work, as in most cases things like meetups and wikimanias are in fact a very useful way to understand the users are humans too (not sharks) and are actually things beyond their usernames (how many people do you know who are called in off-wiki situations First of January, my equivalent in Javanese)... and it is possible to interact a thousand times better than on line interactions. Get a HAT, get more covering clothes, and use sun screen. Apply something on your burn, it can be problematic if left untouched by something to reduce it. I will look at the commons issues later tonight or tommorow. One very small very little request and very small favour for the day - would you please stop tagging articles that I have obviously created with reqphotos, it would be really appreciated, as it really gets quite un nerving as I am sure you have no idea how trollish it looks... I have never asked anyone for reqphoto ever in my 90.000 + edits, it would make me feel less under obligation to help (where I can) regarding Guildford and it surrounds. I am sure you would appreciate that I dont go wandering through your edits and try tagging anything, or any other persons edits - specially with anything like that. Although Chichester Terrace ( here's a pic I took in 2009) is part of the Kemp Town development, I tend to agree that each separate part of the estate needs a separate article (Chichester Terrace, Arundel Terrace, Sussex Square and Lewes Crescent), given that they are each separately listed at Grade I. Actually, List of books set in Brighton and Hove (or maybe just Brighton) would be worth writing – I have seen a comprehensive list (mainly novels) somewhere in one of my books! Using parks as an example: start by typing the name of the new category (exactly as you want it to appear, and including the Category: prefix) in the Search box. You'll see a page that looks like this: [1] Then click the red link where it says Create the page "Category:Parks in Cottesloe, Western Australia" on this wiki!. In the edit window that comes up, put at least one parent category under which you want your new category to sit. In this example, I would suggest Category:Cottesloe, Western Australia and Category:Parks in Perth, Western Australia. (You'll need to include square brackets around them.) I've fixed it by creating Category:Parks in Cottesloe, Western Australia first and then completing the creation of the Grant Marine Park category (first link you added to my talk page) by adding "Category:Parks in Cottesloe, Western Australia" as its parent. On the second link, the bit where it says "This category contains only the following page: ... Grant Marine Park" is because you had accidentally created a page called Grant Marine Park rather than a category. Remember to always use the Category: prefix when creating a new category. The other thing to keep in mind is that when you are creating a series of categories, always start at the highest level and go downwards: so start by creating "Category:Parks in XXX" and then do all the "child" categories (Category:AAA Park, Category:BBB Park etc.), remembering to link each one to "Category:Parks in XXX" as you go. Then if you have further sub-categories (e.g. Category:Birds in AAA Park), create those next and link them to the appropriate parent. Hope that helps. Difficult to say, really ... I suppose the tag isn't universally popular (tags on Wikipedia seem to be a regular source of disagreements between editors). Best thing to do is just to state your case on the relevant user talk pages and explain why you are adding the tags, but if you face too much resistance just move on to something else. Note that the tag will automatically add the article to a hidden category, "Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in wherever", which gives a useful overview of what is needed in a particular geographical area. Regarding the date templates, they are maintenance templates which add the article to a hidden category depending on whether dates are in dd/mm/yyyy, mm/dd/yyyy or yyyy/mm/dd format. Apparently they are being added automatically to articles at the moment to assist with the monitoring of date formats. If you have written an article in a particular date format and want it to be preserved, you can manually add the following code at the top or bottom of the article – it won't be visible, but will add the article to the hidden category:

Just following up an earlier conv - I took over 700 pictures in Kalgoorlie last year (all yet to be uploaded, as I've been busy with other things), but the Miners Hall of Fame is only open a couple of days a week (is behind a locked gate at several hundred metres' distance the rest of the time) and is also a *long* walk from the centre of Kalgoorlie (there's no buses to or anywhere near it). WIth regard to John Russell Green (10 June 1890, Chicago — 22 November 1933, Paris) there may be an interesting story — though I do not yet know the end of it. He left four wills (dated 1925, 1928, 1932, and 1933). The 1932 will left various bequests to his sisters and their children, with the residual to go to his French mistress, Madame Berthe Randon. His estranged wife, Ellen "Mousie" Breth of North Carolina, a 1917 Ziegfield Follies showgirl, was left nothing in either the 1932 or 1933 will. As his death approached, Berthe, who was caring for him, let his sisters know that he was dying (of alcoholism, apparently, although the official cause seems to have been said to be tuberculosis). The sisters rushed to Paris and had him write the 1933 will on his deathbed, leaving nothing to Berthe. Berthe claimed this will was invalid, as he was not sufficiently cogent to change his will at the time, and also alleging the undue influence of his sisters. (It was testified that at the Clinique Eugene Manuel, where he died, he was known as "Monsieur Whiskey.") The first two trials went against Berthe, but I do not know how subsequent trials turned out. Thanks. I asked in the chat room if I could do it, and the person basically said that it isn't how things are done. However, he added something to the page that made it say awaiting review. I figured out how you can review it, but it would probably take you some time to understand all the instructions. →On the draft page, Draft: Homewood Plantation (Natchez Mississippi), you click on show in the Reviewer Tools section of the box the help desk guy put on my page to get to the instructions link. Click on instructions. Then in the green box at the top of the page, click on the following link: Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Helper script. Then scroll down to the Editing section and check the box that says Yet another AFC helper script. Then click save at the bottom of the page. After doing all this, go back to the page where you clicked on instructions and read the rest of that page to get you started. This seems to be how to get started, but I just figured this much out by reading the pages - not by anyone at Wikipedia telling me anything.

I think you would be good at reviewing, and you seem well qualified according to the guidelines I saw. I would like it if you did it, but it seems like a lot to take on. Anyway, they will probably review it in a week or two anyway.

I wish I had talked to you before I tried to get the article from my user space to the main space. If there is a next time, I will certainly ask you how you do it. Probably the only way to do a William L. Baflour article would be to go to Jackson, MS to the state archives and to the LSU library and find their files, which probably have obscure newspaper articles collected on him. I could be wrong, though. The other Hunt plantations don't have articles about them to my knowledge. Without being able to use my research, I've about run out of material to do the other plantations. I could maybe do one on Medway Plantation, located outside of Charleston. My ancestors owned that one way back - if I ever get in the mood. There probably weren't enough articles written about Woodlawn for a Wikipedia article. People just wrote about David Hunt instead, because his home on Woodlawn plantation was nothing special. Of all the Hunt plantations, only Lansdowne and Homewood were written about because of the extravagant homes built on them. That's why I had to do so much research to piece together the information about the other plantations. I think you got it right with having the Abijah Hunt, David Hunt, Lansdowne and Homewood pages. Those may be the only ones with enough sources for Wikipedia.

The photo you mentioned of Hunt (the one in the Tennessee Portrait project, or something, website) on my talk page was published in 1992 already on page 95 of the book - Natchez, An Illustrated History, by David G. Sansing, Sim C. Callon and Carolyn Vance Smith. You are right about it probably being public domain. I just learned how to put photos on Wikipedia, so I'm sort of new to this aspect of the articles. You have created some articles, like Skipwith Hall, where you set nrhp_type = National Register of Historic Places. Please only use an entry from the valid list, which is described here, look under Designations and then click show accepted values. For the most common type of entry, just a normal NRHP listing, leave the nrhp_type blank. You might have been trying to get the "U.S. National Register of Historic Places" banner to display in the infobox. The real problem is that the banner doesn't display if the reference number field and nrhp_type are blank. a refnum (or partof_refnum) should usually be present. From everything I've seen on your talk page, you've created a lot of pages. Some people call ME fast for the large number of birth/death dates I've added, but you're creating pages, some of which I've edited. I think this is what makes Wikipedia so great. Anyone can create articles, and many of those articles are on quite obscure topics. I don't want that to sound as if it's an insult. In fact, it's exactly the opposite. Let's say that there's someone who happens to be interested in the ancient tribes of Italy. They can find an abundance of knowledge on major tribes, and a good amount of knowledge on some of the lesser-known tribes without having to look for the same information on a website that you'd probably find on page 30 of a Google search. By the way, no need to thank me for the edit. You pretty much created the page, and I added some details you missed, although I bet you would have fixed the edits sooner or later.
