Hello! I just wanted to ask why the "Eight Miles High" article has failed its GA review, when none of the problems you list are to be found among "quick fail" criteria listed at Wikipedia:Good article criteria. In my experience -- and I have been involved in quite a few GA reviews for music articles -- when a reviewer finds a problem, they usually put the review "on hold" for 7 days (as outlined in the GA review guidelines here). During this time editors can work on fixing those problems. You, however, have decided to fail the article outright and deprive me of an opportunity to respond to your concerns. Can you explain to me why you have acted in this way?
Furthermore, I see that you have not used the proper GA review template found at Template:GAList. Why not? Apart from making the review seem somewhat disorganised or slapdash, it also robs me (or any other interested party) of a chance to get a clear indication of the specific areas in which the article passes or fails the GA review criteria.
As for the specific issues you have raised on the Talk:Eight Miles High/GA1 page, I have responded to them there and I would be very interested in your replies. -- Kohoutek1138 ( talk) 00:26, 18 June 2012 (UTC)

Remember earlier when we talked earlier about J Lo being in the Latin music task force? Well I created a scope of what's included on the task force earlier and to simply, J Lo herself isn't in it because she performs primarily in pop that's not specific to the Hispanohpone audience (I removed Christina Aguilera for the same reason). But some of her work is included though. Her Spanish-langauge songs and album are a shoe-in because they comply with the inclusion. Another guideline I threw in is that a song can in another language such as English under the condition that a Spanish version was released as a single so that would mean songs like "On the Floor" would be in because it had a Spanish version released as a single ("Ven a Bailar"). I just need to know if you're okay with this. Erick ( talk) 21:01, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
I've updated again on the criteria and based on it I am now convinced J Lo is part of it and will include. :) Just looking at her Latin Billboard Music Awards history on the accolades is enough to convince to put her in. BTW, I left some comments regarding on "Ven a Bailar" on the talk page for "On the Floor" that you might want to check out. EDIT: LMAO, didn't see it was already tagged.

how could you say that "Section hardly makes any reference to the album. It is focused on the tour and TV show" when it features only 3 short sentences about the show, yet there is an entire paragraph relating to the greatest hits album. This is the information that relates to the album:
I am changing the title again. "Dance Again" relates to the album, because it's the lead single (like On The Floor from Love?)... − Soap Jar 07:45, 26 June 2012 (UTC)

Hi,
I'm concerned that the vast amount of quotations in Portrait of Madame Cézanne violates copyrights. I've listed the quotes at Talk:Portrait_of_Madame_Cézanne#concerns_about_copyvio.
I consulted with Moonriddengirl, the copyvio expert, and she recommended this method of dealing with it. What do you think? I suppose I could ask for GAR to get community input if this issue is not addressed on the article talk page.

Another day, another GA. :) Thanks for the Pass! Yeah, I'll review some articles myself, reviewed a few already. -- Khanassassin ☪ 18:24, 21 June 2012 (UTC)

This subarticle is deleted. If you felt that the closure rationale in the AFD discussion is inadequate, before you suggest a deletion review, please read instructions at WP:DRV, and explain why closure rationale and discussion are a mismatch. I am the original reviewer, and no one asked you to take over from me. If I didn't want to review it, I wouldn't have chosen it. You should act dignified and simply let me review it. Aaron • You Da One 17:04, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
On 23 June 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Me Haces Falta, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that in the music video for her single " Me Haces Falta" (2007), Jennifer Lopez portrays an undercover FBI agent who surrenders her lover to the police and has regrets afterwards? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Me Haces Falta. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page ( here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

On 24 June 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Good Hit, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Jennifer Lopez's song " Good Hit" was momentarily removed from her seventh studio album Love? following its negative response when a snippet leaked online? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Good Hit. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page ( here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. Most of your reviews have been passable. However, Talk:The Other Woman (Mad Men) was not, IMO. There are some pretty obvious issues. The WP:CAPTION is sloppy with only one of the two actors named and no links. The refs need links. Should I take this to WP:GAR?-- TonyTheTiger ( T/ C/ BIO/ WP:CHICAGO/ WP:FOUR) 06:52, 24 June 2012 (UTC)
Done I believe I have fixed the issues you brought to my attention. If you happen to see anymore, let me know. Thanks again for letting me know about this. I completely missed the ref link issues, and I'm usually good at that. Best, Statυs ( talk) 17:47, 24 June 2012 (UTC)

how could you say that "Section hardly makes any reference to the album.
Status, just finished addressing your comments in this GAC. Thanks so much. Man, that article languished at GAC for months, so I appreciate it! I also appreciate that you took time out from your Wikibreak to review it. Chin up, remember why you (and all of us) are here, fight the good fight, and keep up the good work! Hi,
I'm concerned that the vast amount of quotations in Portrait of Madame Cézanne violates copyrights.

Hey you got any suggestions for this? I want to get it ready to be GA'd. Swifty* talk 02:47, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
The article When I Grow Up (Pussycat Dolls song) you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needed to be addressed. If these are fixed within seven days, the article will pass, otherwise it will fail. See Talk:When I Grow Up (Pussycat Dolls song) for things which need to be addressed. Jona yo! Would you mind reviewing the 4 road articles that you have signed up to review? It's not fair to the other reviewers, or to the nominators, to claim 4 at a time and then wait days to complete them. -- Rs chen 7754 03:40, 30 June 2012 (UTC)
