And by best team, I of course mean the Twins. Here's my predictions: Twins over Yanks in 4, Rays over Rangers in 5. Then, Twins in 6. For the NL: Braves over SF in 3, Phillies over Cinci in 4. Then, Braves in 7. World Series: Twins in 5 over Braves. Booya. Save the link :-) Keeper | 76 19:34, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
They did. I think it really is a mind game with the Twins and Yankees. Like they know they've never come from behind so why bother trying? Game 1 was the best but they didn't even show up today until the 8th and that made me sweat. Sad. also watching Twinkies in the last of the 9th. No excitement, no hope. They'd folded it. Sad. Good April - September team but for some reason jhust don't turn it (back) on in October. So much was made of Kubel's slam off Mo, but one pitch tonight and he's done. Andy is magic in the post season. He could go 2-18 and probably still throw a gem. It's just who he is. I like that Moss/Harvin will draw the double coverage. I don't have AP but I'm also not playing against him this week, whew. Now if your QB can show up too. I'd love nothing but a romp of the Jests in the swamp, please. What exactly do we chat about in Feb/March when there's no sports? StarM 03:54, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
Brew, <3 you. Your team allegiances out there if you hadn't fessed up already. I made a main space edit a week or so ago. I think it's funny that | 20 revisions go back 10 months and most of that was brief anti vandalism. I'm so done here. Keeper, you're a better man than I. I haven't watched one nanosecond of baseball today - but that's also because it's football. FOOTBALL. You mean there's something else going on. Wait why are you rooting against the Vikes? Thought they were your team. Yankees got lucky, no doubt. I do not want to face a feisty Tampa. I'd love Big Lame shields to get shellacked in game 5. And to not see Cliff Lee for some time for sure. I'm not sure how more honest an artist can be in relating to his audience, playing in the street to entice people to stop , listen, buy a CD or attend a intimate concert where he steps down into the audience and plays to them ?
There's no hype, no big record company, just a musician playing directly to fans
I'm trying to give as much factual info as possible m both from the artist himself and his manager and not sure why factual details about his CD's should be deleted ? I had hoped to put up some more info on the 3 CD's you have :Speeedily Deleted" today.

Welcome to my world. Hope everyone is safe over there....
Dear Sir,
I am asking that you please restore the COL Richard T. Curry article due to the fact that as stated in the article it has significant relevance to Ohio Military History. COL Curry is the only Officer in the Ohio National Guard to not only deploy to Iraq (and a war zone period) by leading his battalion of 524 soldiers 2004-2005, he also lead the largest deployment since WWII from Ohio to war in 2007-2008 (37th IBCT) both as the Commander. This is a first and needs to be captured for historical reasons and wikipedia is a perfect venue to have this information stored for future researchers and contributors. He was also the last commander of the the 37th Armor Brigade and first commander of the newly redesigned 37th Infantry Brigade Combat Team taking the organization through a very intense reorganization period from 2006-2007. I respectfully disagree with you assessment that there is no relevance to this article and in fact state that the article is very relevant to Ohio Military History. Thank you for consideration in this matter. Bengal40 ( talk) 14:51, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

Sorry, but that's not a valid G12. Per the G12 criteria "Only if the history is unsalvageably corrupted should it be deleted in its entirety; earlier versions without infringement should be retained." and I know that page had non-infringing versions as that was the reason I didn't tag it G12. I disagree that it's not an A7 however. I know that the criteria is that they have to have some indication of possibly being notable but per our notability guidelines mayors are not automatically notable and given the small size of the town (as indicated by the number of voters in the article) I don't think simply being a mayor is any sign of notability. That said I do believe that's within admin discretion. I'm sure some admins would see "mayor" and automatically reject while others would look further and probably delete. Dear Star Mississippi,
My name is Jonathan Obar user:Jaobar, I'm a professor in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences at Michigan State University and a Teaching Fellow with the Wikimedia Foundation's Education Program. This semester I've been running a little experiment at MSU, a class where we teach students about becoming Wikipedia administrators. Not a lot is known about your community, and our students (who are fascinated by wiki-culture by the way!) want to learn how you do what you do, and why you do it. A while back I proposed this idea (the class) to the community HERE, where it was met mainly with positive feedback. Anyhow, I'd like my students to speak with a few administrators to get a sense of admin experiences, training, motivations, likes, dislikes, etc. We were wondering if you'd be interested in speaking with one of our students.
So a few things about the interviews:
Bottom line is that we really need your help, and would really appreciate the opportunity to speak with you. If interested, please send me an email at obar@msu.edu (to maintain anonymity) and I will add your name to my offline contact list. If you feel comfortable doing so, you can post your name
HERE instead.
If you have questions or concerns at any time, feel free to email me at obar@msu.edu. I will be more than happy to speak with you.
Thanks in advance for your help. We have a lot to learn from you.

It looks alright to me. That is the sourcing is sufficient to make a case that it passes the WP:GNG and I wouldn't delete it under speedy criterion G4. If sources are in Spanish or another language, they are still usable to demonstrate notability. I would expect there to be some local ones about the site, and not just the building, but they may not be online. Thanks for the good work. You can move it back to the mainspace now, if you like, or wait until you have the opportunity to work on it some more. Eluchil404 ( talk) 03:57, 22 April 2012 (UTC)

Deleted versions are only accessible to admins, so it's not a site problem. The deleted version was basically a plot summary written by a self-confessed fan with no indication of why the book was notable. Yours says why it's notable and has a reference to a RS source. I understand that wrestling fans that didn't "like" me decided to have me deleted. I have made appearances on TV, radio and am a working model and athlete. Would you consider re posting my Wikipedia page... My brother in-law who is a promoter for wrestling is helping with the page, I just gave an interview. If you want, you could show or help me, if you have any suggestions I love to hear others advice or input. Please take what I am saying seriously. I have over 50,000 hits on some search engines and they are all blogs full of hate. I really need my name in good faith, as I believe in being a good person- a lot of wrestling fans use my God given name to bash me, role play my name, and insult me.

Hi, you have deleted my page about Marimedia- an online marketing company. Can you give me a little guidance as to why Marimedia page was deleted and similar pages in the same sector as Marimedia such as Matomy Digital or Ybrant pages are up. The wiki page I created was not promotional in the least bit. It would be really helpful if you can cite specific sentences that you had a problem with instead of generic tips a wiki page being non promotional. I am only asking this because I truly cannot understand what at all was promotional about the page and after viewing companies in the same sector and their pages, I am even more confused as to why a page on Marimedia was not accepted. Thanks for taking the time and I really hope you reconsider the deletion. Yana114 ( talk) 12:56, 20 November 2014 (UTC)
Hello,
It seems the AirData page was deleted citing A7 and possible copyright infringement.
Firstly, I apologise if the page failed to convey relevance. The page was unfinished - I was hoping to finish it today. If possible, I would like to get the page reinstated please?
Relevance. We (World Fuel Services) are one of the largest independent fuel suppliers (aviation, marine and land) in the world and already have a page in wiki for the main part of our business. AirData is a section of the corporation dedicated to flight planning software development for commercial and military aviation. The company was the first company to produce PC based flight planning suitable for commercial aviation back in the early 1980's when flight planning was exclusively a mainframe computational task. We also work exclusively with Airbus as part of the aircraft development programme (All the A380 test flights were performed using AirData flight planning) and we are at the forefront of work with Eurocontrol and the FAA in utilising the AIXM aviation model data. Whilst I would agree that it is very niche and not of general interest it is of interest to those within this domain. Also, if this page is not relevant then pages for Lufthansa Systems, Air Routing, ARINC etc. would also come under A7
As for copyright infringement I'm not sure what would have generated that. We had one paragraph which was duplicated from our main page, so perhaps that was the cause?
Thanks for your assistance. Chaste67 ( talk) 09:20, 20 November 2014 (UTC)

As best I can tell, you deleted the Wikipedia page that appeared under my name, based on "copyright infringement".
I would appreciate your help in understanding and resolving that situation.
The page was first created at least a half dozen years ago by a newspaper reporter in New York City.
And though various people, including some who worked for my museum, made edits, all those edits were referencing publicly available sources, such as the New York Times, Sports Illustrated, or the Wall Street Journal.
To the best of my knowledge, as a lawyer, and as a layperson, there was nothing bordering upon or touching upon possible copyright infringement.
Can you please help me understand the situation, and how to proceed from here?
Thank you very much.

As best I can tell, either you, or Wiki user TomStar (which may be the same user) deleted the Wikipedia page that appeared under my name, Philip Schwalb, based on "copyright infringement".
I think you'll agree, upon reviewing, that there is no lifting of language or anything else written in the article in existence since 2008 (with proper and rigorous footnote attribution) that would approach a copyright issue.
I would appreciate your help in resolving this situation. The page was first created at least a half dozen years ago by a newspaper reporter in New York City. And though various people, including some who worked for my museum, made edits, all those edits were referencing publicly available sources, such as the New York Times, Sports Illustrated, or the Wall Street Journal - and MOST IMPORTANTLY FOR THIS SITUATION, did not infringe on any copyright rules.
If, as a lawyer, and as a layperson, I am mistaken about that, WHATEVER YOU DEEMED TO BE A COPYRIGHT ISSUE, CAN AND WILL BE QUICKLY FIXED AS DIRECTED.
Thank you very much for your FIDELITY to the Wikipedia collective system, and your guidance and assistance.

Dear Star Mississippi,
Thank you for letting me know what you have updated, however regardless of you thinking it as promotional I disagree, its more of an information website, as most information out there right now is not uptodate ...so we provide specifically for that region the correct information, driving hazards, visitor centre information and links to other items as well as old photos current photos and general history, 99% of the information links back to the community thru visitor centres or Hotels or both.
I would greatly appreciate you reversing that decision.
And I base this on other examples of Australian Icons that we own and operate or manage for third parties, we provide the correct information for people to read up about that Icon then redirect back to the community, we are filling that void and providing a information website of what to do where to go, the history old photos etc etc
Most of Australia's Icons will come under our banner in the next 12 - 18 months
And we actually state that on our posts that we are an information Website Link and its under external links
If you can suggest how I am able to resolve this satisfactory so we are able to continue with this I would very much appreciate your guidance on this
I look forward to your reply
Kind regards

Hi - I have read through the notes and understand why the article that I wrote does not conform to Wikipedia standards - generally due to copyright issues and that the content reads like advertisement. I would like to try and rewrite the article to properly conform to the standards. Can you tell me if this is an option? If so, is it possible to somehow retrieve the original article? Thanks for any help - Ali. Allweare ( talk) 03:05, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

It did contain additional information than what is found on our website - particularly the historical information.
