While studying Wikipedia:PERM/Nav, I noticed the AWB link that goes to the Wikipedia:Requests for permissions/Other access page. Maybe it's me, but that made me think that I was supposed to have gotten the AWB user right before using AWB, which I've been using for some time now. So specifically, is this a formal user right that is granted, or is it a more informal "permissions" that does not require a granted user right? (Sorry for my confusion about this.) Be prosperous! Hi, Musical Critter. I noticed there are banners about the 30/500 restriction at Talk:Nair and Talk:Jat people, which state that "Edits made by accounts that do not meet these qualifications may be removed" and it doesn't count as edit warring bla bla. I was a little surprised. Isn't the restriction supposed to be done automatically by filter, so that non-qualified users can't edit the articles? Maybe I've missed some change. Bishonen | talk 20:17, 5 December 2015 (UTC).
I note that this user, in his rollback request which you declined, quoted me as endorsing his request. This is not wholly accurate; I told him to wait a full month from his last request, and then apply (should he so wish) when he had at least 200 mainspace edits on his record, excluding housekeeping edits, and when his vandalism training course was finished. I did not in any way guarantee his receipt of rollback rights, and his recent application is, of course, outside my recommendation. -- Anthony Bradbury "talk" 22:27, 5 December 2015 (UTC)

You posted to my talk page User talk:Jvpwiki If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. — MusikAnimal talk 18:04, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
This is turned around. I added some cited and significant material to the David Lisak article. Someone deleted that additional material based on reasons that keep changing. I made some edits in response to his/her concerns, discussed them on the article's talk page, and then restored the original text. I have achieved consensus with two other editors (see David Lisak article's talk page), including using 3O to attempt to reach a settlement. The deleting editor then trivialized 3O. I will proceed to the next arbitration resource. In the meantime I am doing my best to avoid an edit war, but I believe the article should not be censored in the meantime. I asked the deleting editor to stop reverting until we can get more opinions. JCvP 01:57, 10 December 2015 (UTC)

Hi MusikAnimal: Since you like working on scripts, I have an idea regarding the relisting of AfD discussions. I presently use User:Mr.Z-man/closeAFD to relist AfD discussions, which requires several steps: opening a separate AfD discussion from an AfD log page, using a pull-down menu in the "More" tab, scrolling down to the relist entry, and then performing the action. I was thinking that a script that includes a relist checkbox on AfD log pages for each discussion would really expedite the process, which could be used by people that have it loaded on their vector.js page. In this manner, one could tick discussions for relisting and then press a "magic" relist button somewhere on the page to perform the multiple relistings. This would save a bunch of time for relisters. North America 1000 07:07, 16 December 2015 (UTC)

arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose
site bans,
topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The
arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to

Hi, MusikAnimal. I was just wondering whether or not you could approve my request for AWB registration. I am having to make quite a few proofreading (redirects, punctuation, etc.) edits at the moment on quite a slow internet connection, and I would really like to use this helping hand as soon as possible. Wednesday December 9, 7pm: WikiWednesday Salon and Skill-Share NYC | |
---|---|
You are invited to join the Wikimedia NYC community for our evening "WikiWednesday" salon and knowledge-sharing workshop by 14th Street / Union Square in Manhattan. This month, we will also host a Newcomer's Wiki Workshop for those getting started on the encyclopedia project! We will also include a look at our annual plan and budget ideas, and welcome input from community members on the sorts of projects the chapter should support through both volunteer and budgetary efforts. We welcome the participation of our friends from the Free Culture movement and from educational and cultural institutions interested in developing free knowledge projects. We will also follow up on plans for recent and upcoming editathons, and other outreach activities. After the main meeting, pizza/chicken/vegetables and refreshments and video games in the gallery!
We especially encourage folks to add your 5-minute lightning talks to our roster, and otherwise join in the "open space" experience! Hi Musikanimal,
I have overwritten File:EurovisionNim and a girl at 2015 Social.jpg, however the image continues to be at the same version. I use a Macbook Air and I use Google Chrome and I have done everything that is required, example is I have cleared out my cache and the image is still in the earlier version, which is completely wrong. Could you please find out, Also this image is for my userpage so I uploaded it locally. Kind Regards -- EurovisionNim (talk to me) (see my edits) 03:27, 5 December 2015 (UTC)

Some robot oil for MusikBot! | |
MusikBot is a fairly new face in the field of Wikipedia automation, but in less than a year I can see it is quite a busy bot. I commend you on your bot programming skills and I wanted to thank you and the bot -- mostly the bot -- for your services. I just found your bot is sending TAFI without ~~~~
on massmessage form. It doesn't trigger LCSB3/Cluebot 3 autoarchive, so I had to manually put timestamps on it. Please fix your code to produce timestamp in the end of the TAFI messages. Thanks! — regards,

Hi,
I've found your contributions and opinions on help pages useful previously so if you have a moment would you mind taking a look at the Introduction to tables tutorial?
It's has been partially complete for a few years. I've had a go at updating it but it would be really useful to have a few other editors have a quick look over to see what content and detail level the community think needs to be included. The centralised talk page for discussion is here.
Any suggestions or advice on content and depth would be helpful. T.Shafee(Evo﹠Evo) talk 12:25, 8 December 2015 (UTC)

Hi there!
Not wanting to seem like I'm chasing you up or anything, but I still can't seem to get Twinkle working and unfortunately since my request for rollback was denied, I'm currently not able to use really any other anti vandalism program. What could be the issue with Twinkle? Thank you for your help! -- Giooo95 ( talk) 06:08, 14 December 2015 (UTC)

Special:MyPage/common.js( ←) Try clearing the cache in your browser. You should not in any way be seeing two Twinkle preference dialogs at once. Even if you did, that shouldn't prohibit your ability to use Twinkle. Going to sign off here soon, but might be able to help you more tomorrow. Sorry! — MusikAnimal talk 06:49, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
Nope, still nothing at all. The TW menu just showed up on your talk page, but clicking on the Warn link to see if the links would work produced nothing. Is it something with my account, or maybe my account got flagged by Twinkle, not sure if TW is hosted on a server and maybe my account is sometimes blocked, just thinking out of the box. -- Giooo95 ( talk) 06:57, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
Weird, now I just seen two copies of the TW actions, as seen here. Sometimes the initial menu doesn't even load. Sometimes it shows on the Main Page and sometimes it doesn't, same with my talk page. -- Giooo95 ( talk) 07:04, 14 December 2015 (UTC)

Can you explain the difference between the .js and .css for me? I know .js is JavaScript, but so that I can only edit the page, what would be your preference? Thanks for the help! Aleuuhhmsc ( talk) 19:16, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
