Scotty Goldman from the company.
On an episode of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE announced the return of
Gail Kim to the promotion via a video
promo.
It was reported on February 21 that
Sonjay Dutt had been released from his TNA contract, and this was confirmed with the removal of his profile from TNA's official website.
On February 20, it was reported that
Freddie Prinze, Jr., a
scriptwriter for Friday Night SmackDown, had been released from his contract with WWE.
On February 23:
Afa Anoa'i, Jr., known by his ring name "Manu", was released from his WWE contract.
On Raw, it was announced that
Ricky Steamboat will be the fourth inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame as a part of the Class of 2009; he will be inducted by
Ric Flair.
On February 25, WWE announced that they had discontinued the
WWE One Night Stand name, and that their 2009 event would be replaced with the name 'Extreme Rules'.

Scotty Goldman from the company.
On an episode of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE announced the return of
Gail Kim to the promotion via a video
promo.
It was reported on February 21 that
Sonjay Dutt had been released from his TNA contract, and this was confirmed with the removal of his profile from TNA's official website.
On February 20, it was reported that
Freddie Prinze, Jr., a
scriptwriter for Friday Night SmackDown, had been released from his contract with WWE.
On February 23:
Afa Anoa'i, Jr., known by his ring name "Manu", was released from his WWE contract.
On Raw, it was announced that
Ricky Steamboat will be the fourth inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame as a part of the Class of 2009; he will be inducted by
Ric Flair.
On February 25, WWE announced that they had discontinued the
WWE One Night Stand name, and that their 2009 event would be replaced with the name 'Extreme Rules'.
