Thanks for uploading Image:Map of USA highlighting South2.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

Hey, another user insists on drastically changing the template we both contributed to for USF. He leaves no explanation and justifies the changes with a KISS Principle and his "mission." I have reverted it back for the second time. I have even made a comment on the changes on the template talk page. I come here to ask for help in this matter. I prefer the template as I left it to the changes he made, which for lack of better words make the template look like garbage. Please take a look at my edit of the template and his and add a comment to my comment on the edits. Let's come to a consensus on what the template should look like. There are a few things going on right now in WikiProject Maryland that I thought all members should know about, especially the first one.
- Not too long ago, Marylandstater raised the question of exactly how many members of the project are still active. For this reason, I'm asking everyone who is still active, and wants to remain in the project, to put an asterisk (*) after their username on the project's participants list. You have until the end of November 17, 2007 to do so, sometime after that, all the names that do not have an asterisk will be removed. This is just to clean up the ever expanding list. If you've been gone and come back to find that you've been removed from the list, don't take it personally, just re-add yourself! I won't feel bad at all if no one gets removed, in fact, it would be nice if all 30 members still consider themselves active. Also, this won't affect the two subprojects, but speaking of the subprojects...
- As of sometime next week WikiProject Baltimore City College will be no more. Myself, Golem88991, and John Carter have decided to make it into a task force of WikiProject Maryland. If you have any objections, concerns, or comments, please post them in the talk page topic concerning this.
Now for the exiting news:
- I'm pleased to announce the creation of the Baltimore Task Force! Those interested in contributing to Wikipedia's numerous articles related to Maryland's largest city, now have a place to collaborate.
- I'd also like to take this time to propose a project newsletter. Any comments should be directed at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Maryland#Newsletter.
A couple last things:
- The portal is in desperate need of maintenance, anyone who's interested, go check it out.

Hello Littledrummrboy. As an active member of the Wikipedia community, you may or may not be aware of the Wikiproject Lacrosse team which has contributed many entries related to lacrosse. I'm a part of that team.
Anyway, I thought you might appreciate an invitation to what I hope will be a joint success story with a related (in a lot of ways) new wiki site called Fanbase.com. I'm not promoting or spamming this, but rather trying to direct certain wiki users to another active wiki community where your specific insight in any area of sport would be appreciated. I've spent about the last month doing a lot of updating on the site, when it was in beta mode, and the site officially launched on Aug 24. I think it ties in real nicely to what I've been trying to accomplish in Wikipedia, namely documenting sports and lacrosse history. So please feel free to browse the site -- http://www.fanbase.com -- and join in the fun!
As someone who is seemingly devoted to all areas of sport -- you should be able to bring a lot of "inside knowledge" to this new web site.

Hello fellow project participants. Not sure how many users are still active as normal Wikipedia editors but felt the need to attempt to get a gauge on who can be called on for help with articles falling under the umbrella of the African diaspora project. According to the project's article table there are over six thousand articles related to the African diaspora; there's not a hundred at FA/GA grade and there's over twelve hundred that are unassessed. With Wikipedia being one of the major information reference points in the world today we should consider this unacceptable. Much work needs to be done on the rating of the importance of articles as well. With more communication amongst participants and a dedication to addressing the articles on the to-do list I believe we can make this WikiProject one of the most well organized and thorough on the site. There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons. In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. I don't particularly like the style where the OP for the PROD pushes for deletion instead of fixing it himself or herself. Seems to be bullying. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

Hey, another user insists on drastically changing the template we both contributed to for USF. He leaves no explanation and justifies the changes with a KISS Principle and his "mission." I have reverted it back for the second time. I have even made a comment on the changes on the template talk page. I come here to ask for help in this matter. I prefer the template as I left it to the changes he made, which for lack of better words make the template look like garbage. Please take a look at my edit of the template and his and add a comment to my comment on the edits. Let's come to a consensus on what the template should look like. There are a few things going on right now in WikiProject Maryland that I thought all members should know about, especially the first one.
- Not too long ago, Marylandstater raised the question of exactly how many members of the project are still active. For this reason, I'm asking everyone who is still active, and wants to remain in the project, to put an asterisk (*) after their username on the project's participants list. You have until the end of November 17, 2007 to do so, sometime after that, all the names that do not have an asterisk will be removed. This is just to clean up the ever expanding list. If you've been gone and come back to find that you've been removed from the list, don't take it personally, just re-add yourself! I won't feel bad at all if no one gets removed, in fact, it would be nice if all 30 members still consider themselves active. Also, this won't affect the two subprojects, but speaking of the subprojects...
- As of sometime next week WikiProject Baltimore City College will be no more. Myself, Golem88991, and John Carter have decided to make it into a task force of WikiProject Maryland. If you have any objections, concerns, or comments, please post them in the talk page topic concerning this.
Now for the exiting news:
- I'm pleased to announce the creation of the Baltimore Task Force! Those interested in contributing to Wikipedia's numerous articles related to Maryland's largest city, now have a place to collaborate.

Hello Littledrummrboy. As an active member of the Wikipedia community, you may or may not be aware of the Wikiproject Lacrosse team which has contributed many entries related to lacrosse. I'm a part of that team.
Anyway, I thought you might appreciate an invitation to what I hope will be a joint success story with a related (in a lot of ways) new wiki site called Fanbase.com. I'm not promoting or spamming this, but rather trying to direct certain wiki users to another active wiki community where your specific insight in any area of sport would be appreciated. I've spent about the last month doing a lot of updating on the site, when it was in beta mode, and the site officially launched on Aug 24. I think it ties in real nicely to what I've been trying to accomplish in Wikipedia, namely documenting sports and lacrosse history. So please feel free to browse the site -- http://www.fanbase.com -- and join in the fun!
As someone who is seemingly devoted to all areas of sport -- you should be able to bring a lot of "inside knowledge" to this new web site.

Hello fellow project participants. Not sure how many users are still active as normal Wikipedia editors but felt the need to attempt to get a gauge on who can be called on for help with articles falling under the umbrella of the African diaspora project. According to the project's article table there are over six thousand articles related to the African diaspora; there's not a hundred at FA/GA grade and there's over twelve hundred that are unassessed. With Wikipedia being one of the major information reference points in the world today we should consider this unacceptable. Much work needs to be done on the rating of the importance of articles as well. With more communication amongst participants and a dedication to addressing the articles on the to-do list I believe we can make this WikiProject one of the most well organized and thorough on the site. If you are interested in collaborative work with some of your fellow project members, have certain expertise on any particular subjects, ideals on/about the WikiProject, etc. simply drop your name under the "Project revision" section I've created on the project's talk page and state your intentions and main points of interest in our WikiProject and we can attempt to move forward from there. There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons. In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate. I have since added several references to the article itself to improve it, responding to a reasonable request. I don't particularly like the style where the OP for the PROD pushes for deletion instead of fixing it himself or herself. Seems to be bullying.
