• A new single-game infobox has been created, replacing the old {{ NCAAFootballSingleGameHeader}}. This infobox replaces the scoreboard-style header and should be used on all new single-game articles.
• The 2007-2008 bowl season begins on December 20 with the 2007 Poinsettia Bowl. Editors are encouraged to create and expand individual bowl game articles throughout the bowl season.
• 2006 Oklahoma Sooners football team is undergoing a Featured Article Review. Editors are encouraged to visit the talk page and leave comments or support.
• Early history of Minnesota Golden Gophers football has an an open peer review.
• Andrew Hatch, an article about the third-string LSU Tigers quarterback, was nominated in an AfD and was deleted.
• An article about Colt David, the LSU Tigers kicker, was also nominated for deletion but was kept. Editors are encouraged to expand the article in order to prevent a repeat of the AfD.
• 2006 Chick-fil-A Bowl, a Wikiproject College Football Featured Article, has been nominated to appear on the front page of Wikipedia on December 31.

Welcome to the inaugural issue of the College football WikiProject's newsletter! I hope that you'll find this newsletter to be useful, particularly if you, like so many of us, are too busy to regularly check the talk page and the other project pages. I intend for this to be a monthly summary of new events, featured article candidates, good article candidates, requests for peer review, and new tools and infoboxes dealing with the College football wikiproject.

Please consider this initial issue to be a prototype; as always, any comments and suggestions are extremely welcome, and will help me improve the newsletter in the coming months.
