Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled " Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed your recent edit to List of neo-Nazi organizations does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! @ Geogranerd: I am trying to better understand the Mapping (subgenre) entry you included on the Mapping disambiguation page. I was the one that recently removed it from the list for the following combination of reasons: 1) It is a Wikipedia:Red link to a page that does not exist, 2) There are no other links in the description that provide supporting information and context, 3) The description is difficult to understand, if you are not familiar with the topic being described, and 4) the description is excessively long for a disambiguation page. Not being familiar with the topic myself, I would like to help ensure your contribution doesn't get deleted again, and help improve the entry on the disambiguation page so that it is more easily understood by those of us without animated mapping experience. The first thing that would help me understand this better is the use of the term "subgenre". What are you saying "mapping" is a subgenre of? Is there a genre within YouTube videos that "mapping" is a subgenre of? If so, what is the primary YouTube video genre? Thank you. OvertAnalyzer ( talk) 22:09, 31 October 2020 (UTC)
@ Geogranerd: Thank you for opening my eyes to a world I did not know existed. I will take each of your points:
By including this as a red link, it implies you believe the topic should have it's own article on Wikipedia. Is that what you are thinking? If not, I recommend removing the red link. If you want to keep the red link, I suggest changing it to Mapping (YouTube subgenre). After reviewing the wiki, it seems justifiable to create a new Wikipedia article that covers the topic, but I would think "Video mapping" would be a better title for the article. Currently "Video mapping" redirects to Projection mapping. Although the topic of "projection mapping" apparently does use the term "video mapping", it seems to be a different concept than the type of "video mapping" we are discussing here. I hope my perspective on the matter is helpful. OvertAnalyzer ( talk) 17:00, 1 November 2020 (UTC)
@ Geogranerd: After I posted my message I realized the comparison to "gaming" was off base. I still think a title other than "Mapping (subgenre)" should be considered. It begs the question, "subgenre of what?". The word "subgenre" doesn't clarify what field, or area of knowledge, is being referenced. Some alternatives might be "Mapping (video sharing)" or "Mapping (Fandom)", but I don't know that those hit the mark either. Thanks for taking the time to help me understand. OvertAnalyzer ( talk) 19:44, 1 November 2020 (UTC)
@ Geogranerd: I changed the Mapping disambiguation page, and made a minor tweak to the corresponding Animated mapping section. Please review to make sure it seems correct. Thank you. OvertAnalyzer ( talk) 15:04, 2 November 2020 (UTC)

The article Mapping (fandom) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline. WP:BEFORE did not reveal any significant coverage on Gnews, Gbooks or Gscholar and all references used are very bad (youtube and fandom/wikia). This is pure WP:OR. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page here in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back through WP:ECHO or by leaving a note at User talk:Piotrus. Thank you.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other
deletion processes exist. In particular, the
speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and
articles for deletion allows discussion to reach
consensus for deletion.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of neo-Nazi organizations, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Público. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot ( talk) 06:18, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
This is just a heads-up that I removed some of your additions on List of neo-Nazi organizations#Spain. This was either because there was no source that they are neo-Nazis, or because there was an article that said that they belonged to some other part of the far right. Please add sources, or discuss on the talk page if you disagree with my position that the far right organizations are not neo-Nazis. Sjö ( talk) 04:55, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
Hi 29Islands,
I saw your work on articles related to anarchism and wanted to say hello, as I work in the topic area too. If you haven't already, you might want to watch our noticeboard for Wikipedia's coverage of anarchism, which is a great place to ask questions, collaborate, discuss style/structure precedent, and stay informed about content related to anarchism. Take a look for yourself!
And if you're looking for other juicy places to edit, consider expanding a stub, adopting a cleanup category, or participating in one of our current formal discussions.
Feel free to say hi on my talk page and let me know if these links were helpful (or at least interesting). Hope to see you around. czar 21:32, 5 March 2022 (UTC)
