Please don't make page titles that are subsidiaries of other pages, for example "Page/subpage". Wikipedia has specifically stoppped using that format. Just create the "subpage" article with a full title of its own. I'm not sure of the value of creating all of these pages for boards, but that's a different matter. - Will Beback 21:24, 19 January 2006 (UTC)

Hey Chad, to answer your question "Is there an article related to the subject of board members being part of multiple boards?", there appear to be 2: Interlocking directorate and Corporate interlocks. The 1st is brief; the 2nd seems to deal with the issue from a sociological standpoint rather than corporate governance. Thanks for the note. Yes, I had originally made the legislature table a separate table. A novice Wikipedia editor pointed out to me how difficult that made it to make modifications...and I realized it really served no purpose to keep it separate, so I copied it into the main page.
Unfortunately, when I attempted to delete the now-irrelevant table page, a "bot" would not allow me to.
If you know a way to get it deleted, delete away!

Hi,
I was the person who removed the biographical paragraph from the Bruce Guthrie article. The reason I removed it is that it is a direct copy of text from a page which asserts copyright [2]. This page asserts a copyright, so I don't think that this text can stand as it is. Am I misunderstanding the copyright policy? ScottW 20:24, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

The problem is that the whole Wikipedia article is a copy of a source that is not giving information for free. If there is not enough information about the topic, it is better to have no article than to have a copy from a copyrighted text. Note that the article is giving two external links but no reference. When copying something from another site, use a quote or italics, and add the link just after the quotation, so that it can be seen as reference. -- ReyBrujo 17:16, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

The election is still two years away, and we haven't even had this year's yet. You're not going to have any references for the article, most likely until those papers are filed, yes. Until that time, everything is going to be pure speculation, which is not what Wikipedia is for. You need reliable sources to verify anything you add, which is what you were told in the last AfD. Guessing what is going to happen is a violation of WP:CRYSTAL, and would be entirely original research. There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons. In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate. Please don't make page titles that are subsidiaries of other pages, for example "Page/subpage". Wikipedia has specifically stoppped using that format. Just create the "subpage" article with a full title of its own. Thanks for the note. Yes, I had originally made the legislature table a separate table. A novice Wikipedia editor pointed out to me how difficult that made it to make modifications...and I realized it really served no purpose to keep it separate, so I copied it into the main page.
Unfortunately, when I attempted to delete the now-irrelevant table page, a "bot" would not allow me to.
If you know a way to get it deleted, delete away!

I was the person who removed the biographical paragraph from the Bruce Guthrie article. The reason I removed it is that it is a direct copy of text from a page which asserts copyright [2]. The problem is that the whole Wikipedia article is a copy of a source that is not giving information for free. If there is not enough information about the topic, it is better to have no article than to have a copy from a copyrighted text. Note that the article is giving two external links but no reference. Thanks for uploading Image:FL-districts-108v.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

The election is still two years away, and we haven't even had this year's yet. You're not going to have any references for the article, most likely until those papers are filed, yes. Until that time, everything is going to be pure speculation, which is not what Wikipedia is for. You need reliable sources to verify anything you add, which is what you were told in the last AfD. Guessing what is going to happen is a violation of WP:CRYSTAL, and would be entirely original research. There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons. In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.
