My Awards

I am proving a valuable point. Also I will take this to the civil courts in order to get my name removed from conflict of interest page. Wikipedia is getting to neutral for me...when are humans only neutral? How can I be neutral in emotion? I am expressing my points as neutrally as I can. I do use notable resources. I don't have any actual experience with it but it just so happens that this edit popped up on my watchlist recently and I noted that the user, stating in his edit summary he was using Wikipedia:AutoEd, corrected a link from underscores to regular links. Of course, if a page has tons of them, you can always hit Ctrl+a to highlight all, then Ctrl+c to copy, then paste ( Ctrl+v) into Word or Wordperfect, and then use the program's find and replace function to replace all underscores with spaces (I did that on this page once, removing over 9,000 underscores in a single edit). It means that the user has not been reviewed by anyone yet. That was put in place (not by me) to allow reviewers to see who has yet to receive a review just by visiting the main [[WP:ER|Editor review] page. The asterisk is removed by the first person that reviews the user, along with the *<!-- Remove the ASTERISK next to the username and this TAG when you review this user --> {{Not yet reviewed}} message in the review itself. Here is the documentation for that. A hash is a one way function, so only the user that created the hash will know what content was hashed. Example, the MD5 hash of "A" is "7fc56270e7a70fa81a5935b72eacbe29." There is technically no way for anyone else to know that "7fc56270e7a70fa81a5935b72eacbe29" was created by hashing "A", unless they also know that "A" creates that hash. Rainbow tables may be used to "crack" hashes, so consider hashing a longer string, making it impossible to find the original content. Netalarm talk 00:37, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

I don't know. I've never used Huggle, so I'm not at all familiar with it. I have a few thousand smalltown articles on my watchlist (they get edited so rarely that I'm not swamped by tons of changes), and the Demographics sections are similar enough (including all having the same source) that the absence of this reference tag means nothing to me except that I need to restore it. I really don't know. Other than when I was nominated, I've almost never done anything with RFA, so I'm not too familiar with the process. I would guess that at least some people would be hesitant because most of your mainspace edits are vandal fighting: while that's obviously not trivial, many people believe that it's good for an admin to be experienced in adding content as well as preserving what's already there. WP:Copyrights should get you started. Basically, though, Wikipedia follows these main rules with images:

• Free images are always preferred

• If no free image is available, a fair use image may be used, within limits

• All images must have copyright information including the creator, copyright holder (if different from first), source, and licence.

I don't know why, I just don't like IRC. Here is what I am trying to do. I want to use RegEx to find text using AWB. I want to find [[eBay]], including the brackets. Since the brackets would interfere with the RegEx, you would have to use an interrupter. In this case, I used a backslash. \b\[\[eBay\]\]\b is what I came out with. I tested it and it would not find [[eBay]]. I might not be getting this whole RegEx thing. Is it in the language Perl? If so, is there an on-wiki tutorial on how to use it? In all due respect, Btilm, Regex is a big subject. Whole books have been written on it. I can help you with specific problems, but I don't think either of us wants me to go through all of the details, and I don't think I know all of them. And in response to what I think is your question: there is no reason why you cant just say

find: eBay

As a rule of thumb, don't nominate an article for deletion at AfD when it has a speedy deletion tag on it. In the case of The Stewards of Somerset, speedy deletion was clearly appropriate, so not only did I have to delete the article, but I also had to close the AfD. I noticed some of your work on ACC today and thought i would offer a little help. I believe you may be going to the list of recently created accounts rather than the pending requests, which often get reserved within a few seconds. If you are looking over things to see how it works you don't need to reserve the requests. You may want to review WP:ACCG or/and join most of us on the IRCchannel #wikipedia-en-accounts. There is a bot on the IRC channel that notifies us when new requests come in. If you happen to use Firefox there is an add-on that you can install to join in the IRC discussion. Chatzilla for IRC chat. Sometimes 7 requests come in within 92 seconds. Other times there is nothing for 5 hours. The changes are dependent on the requests of prospective users, ie no set interval. According to the suggested guidelines the threshold is 75 valid articles, you're at 53 [6] (c. 3500 edits). I'd say you're at the upper "edge" of those that are granted Autoreviewer. Neither Nodi Swamy Navirodu Hige nor Nodiswamy naviroduhege nor Motor Pool (Biology) qualifies for A1 speedy. The first two contains more than enough context - the subject is a film by an Indian director who's famous - and indeed who, it turns out, has an Wikipedia article. Hello. 800 lb. Gorilla (band) has been nominated for speedy deletion under criterion A7—it's an article about a band, but it doesn't say why the band is notable. For an article to qualify for speedy deletion, it doesn't have to establish notability (in other words, it doesn't need to have sources), it merely has to assert notability.

As you know, A7 is just one of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you're not sure whether an article qualifies for CSD, PROD it. You can use a summary of "questionable notability" if that's your concern. You can also try to Google the subject to see whether you get any meaningful hits.

The other signature is still massive and contains a lot of code that is, in essence, doing nothing or nothing noticeable. Removing it would help users with slow connections a lot, and it would clear up editing as there wouldn't be as much code. You don't have to, and I can understand if you don't want to change it (heck, I used to have a massive signature), but please do think of others.

Tell you more about the editors that have had a problem with me? Well, I have been accused of POV pushing, even though that is not what I think it is. I feel that a number of articles are presented from a biased POV, and I was trying, through very meticulous, well referenced, and eloquent edits, to change that. When that didn't work, I attempted to create a new article to include information which was not welcome by other editors of the article. I created a page of the NHRA's 2010 season for next year 2010 NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Season and you marked it as needing a lead section. Why does it need a lead section if it's going to be linked to the National Hot Rod Association article next year??? I created a similar page for this year's season 2009 NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Season and it is linked to the National Hot Rod Association and didn't require a Lead section. It's interesting, but I don't see how it saves that much work. I'm content with using the current infobox generator, and everything else doesn't really take that long to do; besides, I usually have to fix a few things in the infobox generator, so I'd still have to look over all of the articles. It's not a bad concept though, and if you developed the whole thing into an automated process (something like what User:Ram-Man used to create all the U.S. city articles) I would probably be more interested. Hi again. The redirect page was being categorized by the link. Putting ":" (without quotation marks) in front of the namespace forces the piped link to be only a link. For example, you can use the same trick to stop an image from transcluding. E.g.: [[:Image:Example.jpg]] comes out as Image:Example.jpg. Hope that helps! Cheers, m.o.p 02:30, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
