Hi there Xeno. I'd like to ask a favor from you: My adoptee, Maedin ( talk · contribs), wants to receive rollback-permission to easier fight vandalism ( [1]). She is afraid though that it will be denied, given that she has a low edit count. So I'd like to ask you to consider that request because while her edit count might be low, I am utterly convinced the helpful nature and the civility of her edits so far speak for themselves and will allow her to get this permission. If you want, I will serve as the one you can slap with a trout if she abuses it. But I doubt that :-)
On a side note, as I value your input, I'd like to ask you, if I may do so, to review some of my contributions and tell me your opinion on whether I should pursue adminship in the near future. But you don't have to of course. Regards So Why 20:48, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for expressing interest at User:Abd/RfC/Proxy Table in my standing userspace RfC. The first questions to be addressed are at User:Abd/RfC/8.11.08 block, which is a page for the questions and (later) a summary of consensus. Comments and discussion have been begun, by me, at User talk:Abd/RfC/8.11.08 block. Because the first questions address the warning issued to me by Jehochman before the block on 8/11, and should not involve extensive research, I have several times asked Jehochman to comment, but he has declined so far. I have also asked Carcharoth, as suggested by Jehochman, to look at it, but so far he hasn't found time; perhaps he will in the next few days. If you are able to look at the pages ref'd above, and comment regarding the questions, or otherwise as you see fit, it would be appreciated. Thanks for any time you can give this. -- Abd ( talk) 21:10, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
People should not become involved in this user-controlled RFC - we have an RFC process, Abd has so far found nobody willing to become involved in his illegitimate version of the process. Hi I notice (though I know you say you are quite busy at the mo) that you are often active in WP:ADOPT matters. I don't know if you would be the right person, but I have specific needs with regards to one of my adoptees. User:903M almost always edits while I'm asleep (I'm in the UK, but a night owl.) So I wake up and any problems they've been in may have escalated to AN/I, or led to a block etc. I love adopting 903M and don't want to stop being their adopter, I feel they're finally making some progress, but I need someone else who happens to be awake at the same time as them, to keep an eye on them and intervene sometimes if need be. She often edits most actively between 03:00- 10:00 GMT/UTC to give a large window. I don't know who's up at that time that you can suggest? Sticky Parkin 15:04, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
I am user 903M. I am open to being adopted. Here is my assessment:
Whom I seek: Someone who knows a lot, both about the world and also about Wikipedia. Someone who has an analytical mind and is willing to consider things. A hothead is not whom I seek.
Self analysis: I am also well versed in several subjects. I have a sense of right and wrong and seek right. Sometimes, this can get me into trouble. For example, I am very interested in a scholarly Wikipedia but I am opposed to plagiarism and improper use of images. The use of images caused conflict about 30 hours ago. I tend to be very polite and considerate. A hothead, I'm not. I also have a sense of fairness and justice. If I see someone mistreated in Wikipedia or in life, I don't like. At times, I have insisted on a rule in Wikipedia too much. I understand the concept of IAR (ignore all rules) but I think that was more suited for when Wikipedia was small and new. There are many times that I've thought of being bold and bending a rule but I haven't because I think Wikipedia is now large, established, and not the right place for earth shaking events.
Types of edits that I might do: New articles on deserving subjects, critically examining articles and trying to make them more fair, better written, improvement of highly technical articles (not done much yet), trying to fix common articles and maybe adding a fact. 903M ( talk) 06:24, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
Sticky has been very helpful. Another wise adopter would be appreciated. A quick look at you leads me to believe you are wise. Sticky suggested you name. I ask to take me under your wing. 903M ( talk) 06:24, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
Yo, sorry to bother you, and I know no-one really uses it except from me, but Category:Wikipedians looking for help from administrators has had a request up for over a week with no sign of an admin. The request doesn't seem to difficult or controversial, so I am wondering if there is something wrong on the technical side of things and thought to ask you. Are the dashboards working effectively do you know? Does the category need to be in Category:Administrative backlog? Gracias, the skomorokh 14:36, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
Muchas gracias, hombres. Does anyone know if it's possible to have a bot add a message to an admin IRC channel when a user deploys {{ Adminhelp}}? You know, like the Bat signal? "Attention admins, please temporarily cease cybering and plotting to ban Kurt Weber - User talk:Example needs your help!" Apparently there was something similar for Category:Wikipedians looking for help. the skomorokh 17:38, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

I would like to file a complaint about a user named User:The Virginian I already went to the admin complaint board but User:SkyWalker said you were the most helpful admin, anyway The Virginian continually derides others for there edits, rejects any assistance other editors try to give to him in proper wiki ediquett, derides new users for simple edit mistakes even though he himself is not exactly an expert in editing himself and more than likely discouraged these users from editing again, and currently to prevent from being warned by others locked his talk page and prevents access to it by setting it to redirect to another page when others try to access it and leave him a message, I wish to remain anonymouse but I believe his antics have gone on for too long and feel you should look into his actions and dicipline him for his antics.- Deus257 ( talk) 04:39, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Oh man it's Xeno, it's been so long man. What's up? Have you gone through many debates lately like me and American Eagles? I wonder how he's doing anyways, I haven't talked to him in forever. Good luck admining. Cheerio!-- Ezekiel 7:19 †alk 16:08, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
User:Abyssal needs his talk to be moved to User talk:Abyssal instead of User talk:Abyssalrenamehold. I can't do it because of a redirect. I think it needs an Admin to do it. Lympathy Talk 17:44, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
Xeno, the editor you are, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that you satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space. Your opinions on yourself are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at User:GlassCobra/Editor for deletion#Xeno and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit during the discussion but should not remove the nomination (unless you wish not to participate); such removal will not end the deletion discussion (actually it will). Thank you, and have a good sense of humor :). Shapiros10 contact me My work 01:05, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

The article Ma.gnolia was marked for deletion and immediately deleted afterwards. Following the information that was put on my talk page I request a copy of the deleted article to be mailed to me. I have put some time into it and will request on the corresponding talk page that it will be restored. I hope you can help me with that. Thank you. Kak ( talk) 22:59, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

On the shouting match article, you removed some text and said rm weasel words and speculation. I don't understand why you said that, because I got that information from my reference. So the information is verifiable. Please read over the reference I have, and you will see that it states the same things I said in my article. I just reworded it so it wouldn't be a direct copy of someone else's work. -- IRP ☎ 23:25, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
