Bill Temple was part of a "Ginger Group" that was battling for key positions on the Ontario CCF's executive, at the Ontario CCF's 1952 convention. They reluctantly supported Ted Jolliffe as the leader, but ran Bill Temple against Ted Isley for president. (Keeping the Dream Alive, p. 39)
The convention battle took place at Toronto's King Edward Hotel, in April 1952. Isely narrowly defeated Temple 112 to 85. Temple was then elected a vice-president on the party's executive. (Keeping the Dream Alive, p.42)

Hi Vale: I noticed you changed the name of the Ontario CCF to "Co-operative Commonwealth Federation, Ontario Section." I reverted because in the literature that I have been reading, it does not come out that way. If you can point to a good source, with page reference, that clearly states that the name is indeed "Ontario Section", than I would gladly put it back in.-- Abebenjoe ( talk) 06:52, 17 August 2011 (UTC)

- All those documents are without a preview, so I can't read them. It still seems like a library classification, rather than its official name. I'll take a look at some of my actual books, and see if it says anything, but from what I've read, that does not seem to be the name the party itself used.

- Ok, if it comes from the pen and typewriter of Joseph Noseworthy or Morden Lazarus, than it must be correct. The funny thing about this, and I've checked about five different books now, the authors always say Province, then the abbreviated "CCF". I found one reference to Saskatchewan as the "CCF (Saskatchewan Section)', but not completely spelled out. It would also appear that the secondary name is Farmer-Labor party of Ontario. The lead sentence should now read "Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (Ontario Section)–The Farmer-Labor Party of Ontario, or more informally known as The Ontario CCF. . ." Attribution should be included in the Origins section. Thank you for catching that. Hello, Vale of Glamorgan … I recently encountered the article about Bill Grummett and in my opinion, it either does not verifiably satisfy the Notability criteria for Biographies, or it may violate the Conflict of interest guideline, or perhaps it violates a copyright.
I am considering tagging Bill Grummett ( | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) for deletion according to the Deletion policy … I do not have time to examine the article in depth at the moment, and it may improve over time, in which case this warning was premature.
I have created this initial entry on your Talk page because you are either the original author of the article, or else a recent contributor to it; I will leave more detailed information regarding my specific concerns about the article on its Discussion page … please respond either there or on this Talk page, instead of on my Talk page, in order to avoid fragmenting the conversation.

- I only made one edit prior to your tagging, and that was just adjusting a link. However, I think being an MPP makes one notable to have an article so it shouldn't be deleted, just sourced.

- My apologies, I thought you wrote the article. As it is written it could easily be deleted for notability due to its unverifiablility. Being an MPP alone, is not notable though, and the article is poorly written. I haven't tagged it for deletion because I believe Grummett must be notable due to him being the only CCF MPP to get elected in every election between 1943 to 1955. However, I have lost notability battles before due to a lack of reliable references.

Re this edit: You're right. Kay "worked as a lawyer with the New York City office of Goodman Phillips Vineberg", becoming "a member of the New York bar in 1998", which agrees with Justia.com. I guess Justia got the info from the New York bar association, complete with full name (which would explain the "Claim and update your profile" option).
OTOH, this is technically Original Research, and he apparently never uses that middle name himself. The copyright page for Among The Truthers lists him with no middle name, for example. (Maybe he hates it?) So I'd slightly prefer to leave his middle name out of the article. What do you think?

But they had to be reverted because we never put ending dates or ending years until a show has actually aired its final episode. The present always has priority over the future here on Wikipedia. - All those documents are without a preview, so I can't read them. It still seems like a library classification, rather than its official name. I'll take a look at some of my actual books, and see if it says anything, but from what I've read, that does not seem to be the name the party itself used.

Flagging Bill Grummett for further review
Hello, Vale of Glamorgan … I recently encountered the article about Bill Grummett and in my opinion, it either does not verifiably satisfy the Notability criteria for Biographies, or it may violate the Conflict of interest guideline, or perhaps it violates a copyright.
I am considering tagging Bill Grummett ( | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) for deletion according to the Deletion policy … I do not have time to examine the article in depth at the moment, and it may improve over time, in which case this warning was premature.
I have created this initial entry on your Talk page because you are either the original author of the article, or else a recent contributor to it; I will leave more detailed information regarding my specific concerns about the article on its Discussion page … please respond either there or on this Talk page, instead of on my Talk page, in order to avoid fragmenting the conversation.

- I only made one edit prior to your tagging, and that was just adjusting a link. However, I think being an MPP makes one notable to have an article so it shouldn't be deleted, just sourced.

- My apologies, I thought you wrote the article. As it is written it could easily be deleted for notability due to its unverifiablility. Being an MPP alone, is not notable though, and the article is poorly written. I haven't tagged it for deletion because I believe Grummett must be notable due to him being the only CCF MPP to get elected in every election between 1943 to 1955. However, I have lost notability battles before due to a lack of reliable references.

Re this edit: You're right. Kay "worked as a lawyer with the New York City office of Goodman Phillips Vineberg", becoming "a member of the New York bar in 1998", which agrees with Justia.com. I guess Justia got the info from the New York bar association, complete with full name (which would explain the "Claim and update your profile" option).
OTOH, this is technically Original Research, and he apparently never uses that middle name himself. The copyright page for Among The Truthers lists him with no middle name, for example. (Maybe he hates it?) So I'd slightly prefer to leave his middle name out of the article. What do you think?

But they had to be reverted because we never put ending dates or ending years until a show has actually aired its final episode. The present always has priority over the future here on Wikipedia.
