Hi,
I'm with Internexus Los Angeles. We discovered that the Internexus English Language School wikipeida page had been set to redirect to Regents College in the UK. We operated a campus of our ESL school at Regents for several years but that relationship is no longer active.
We revised the page to give current info about our network but it keeps getting reset to the prior redirect to Regents.
Just fyi, technically this redirect is a trademark violation since we own Internexus as a registered mark for our network of English Language Schools.
How can we prevent this from happenign in the future?

Hello, I uploaded File:The 35th Annual National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Suncoast Chapter Emmy Award Winners.pdf to Wikipedia. This is a list of the NATAS Suncoast Chatper Emmy Award Winners in 2011. This list is so important. The Suncoast Chapter does not archive before 2013. They gave me this list via Facebook Messenger. I have reached a stopping point in the process of uploading the file. Would you please consider helping me with this file with a fair-use image tag? I need the help. Thank you,-- Wyn.junior ( talk) 17:40, 31 March 2019 (UTC)
Hi Shellwood. I rarely log in Wikipedia, so just receive your message. Thanks for the noting. But is there any problem with the link I added before? I used that freeware WinX DVD Author (if I remember correctly) once and thought it is a kind of DVD authoring software. So I add it to the the page List of DVD authoring applications. And because it is free, I thought it would be ok to leave a link.
Anyway, I just want to know if it violates some regulations of Wikipedia or not, so that I could be more careful about my editing hereafter. Thanks!-- u say it best when u say nothing at all ( talk) 04:07, 1 April 2019 (UTC)

Hello Shellwood,
I’m a Dutch teacher and I teach study skills (and Dutch and drama) to my students (13/14 years old). Most of them go to Wikipedia to find information for reports or presentations. I wanted to show them the reliability of Wikipedia as a source. That’s why I placed myself in a few pages. I fully intended to delete everything after today, since I had my last class about this subject today. I’m sorry for your inconvenience.

Hi Shellwood. As you probably know, I occasionally wander round talk pages thinking "I wonder who'd be a good RfA candidate in future"? In your case, you do a lot of anti-vandalism, much of which I notice, and having seen you be "first on the scene" at main page disruption several times, you would make good use of the block button. However, the obvious problem is while I might be able to be convinced to do a free pass on " Why admins should create content" under the right circumstances (eg: Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Cyberpower678 2), many editors won't, and that's where things will get tricky. I wonder if Oshwah has any further advice? Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 17:21, 12 April 2019 (UTC)

Hello Shellwood,
Niharika Kohli, a product manager for the growth team, announced that work is underway in implementing improvements to New Page Patrol as part of the 2019 Community Wishlist and suggests all who are interested watch the project page on meta. Two requested improvements have already been completed. These are:

At this point further discussion is needed about if and how this list should be used. Please consider joining the discussion about how this potentially valuable resource should be developed and used.

Hello Shellwood,
More new features are being added to the feed, including the important red alert for previously deleted pages. This will only work if it is selected in your filters. Best is to 'select all'. Do take a moment to check out all the new features if you have not already done so. If anything is not working as it should, please let us know at NPR. There is now also a live queue of AfC submissions in the New Pages Feed. Feel free to review AfCs, but bear in mind that NPP is an official process and policy and is more important.
Articles are still not always being checked thoroughly enough. If you are not sure what to do, leave the article for a more experienced reviewer. Please be on the alert for any incongruities in patrolling and help your colleagues where possible; report patrollers and autopatrolled article creators who are ostensibly undeclared paid editors. The displayed ORES alerts offer a greater 'at-a-glance' overview, but the new challenges in detecting unwanted new content and sub-standard reviewing do not necessarily make patrolling any easier, nevertheless the work may have a renewed interest factor of a different kind. A vibrant community of reviewers is always ready to help at NPR.
The backlog is still far too high at between 7,000 and 8,000. Of around 700 user rights holders, 80% of the reviewing is being done by just TWO users. In the light of more and more subtle advertising and undeclared paid editing, New Page Reviewing is becoming more critical than ever.
NPR is triage, it is not a clean up clinic. This move feature is not limited to bios so you may have to slightly re-edit the text in the template before you save the move. Anything that is not fit for mainspace but which might have some promise can be draftified - particularly very poor English and machine and other low quality translations.
Remember to use the message feature if you are just tagging an article for maintenance rather than deletion. Otherwise articles are likely to remain perma-tagged. Many creators are SPA and have no intention of returning to Wikipedia. Use the feature too for leaving a friendly note note for the author of a first article you found well made or interesting. Many have told us they find such comments particularly welcoming and encouraging.
Admins are now taking advantage of the new time-limited user rights feature. If you have recently been accorded NPR, do check your user rights to see if this affects you. Depending on your user account preferences, you may receive automated notifications of your rights changes. Requests for permissions are not mini-RfAs. Helpful comments are welcome if absolutely necessary, but the bot does a lot of the work and the final decision is reserved for admins who do thorough research anyway.
School and academic holidays will begin soon in various places around the Western world. Be on the lookout for the usual increase in hoax, attack, and other junk pages.
Our next newsletter might be announcing details of a possible election for co-ordinators of NPR. If you think you have what it takes to micro manage NPR, take a look at New Page Review Coordinators - it's a job that requires a lot of time and dedication.

I started undoing your reversion of User:LDWAFootpaths's additions of LDWA links to articles on UK long-distance walks, but then I saw there were quite a lot of them, so thought I ought to consult. Although the username suggests a conflict of interest, I don't think the links themselves are actually invalid. The LDWA (of which I'm not a member or advocate) is a recognised authority on long-distance paths in the UK, it's a reliable source and in my opinion their links warrant inclusion. Would you object if I resurrected the links? Dave.Dunford ( talk) 18:34, 27 August 2019 (UTC)

Hello Shellwood,
Instead of reaching a magic 300 as it once did last year, the backlog approaching 6,000 is still far too high. An effort is also needed to ensure that older unsuitable older pages at the back of the queue do not get automatically indexed for Google.
A proposal is taking place here to confirm a nominated user as Coordinator of NPR.
Why I Hate Speedy Deleters, a 2008 essay by long since retired Ballonman, is still as valid today. Those of us who patrol large numbers of new pages can be forgiven for making the occasional mistake while others can learn from their 'beginner' errors. Worth reading.
Do bear in mind that articles in the feed showing the trash can icon (you will need to have 'Nominated for deletion' enabled for this in your filters) may have been tagged by inexperienced or non NPR rights holders using Twinkle. They require your further verification.
Please be sure to look for the tell-tale signs of undisclosed paid editing. Contact the creator if appropriate, and submit the issue to WP:COIN if necessary. WMF policy requires paid editors to connect to their adverts.
Regular reviewers will appreciate the most recent enhancements to the New Pages Feed and features in the Curation tool, and there are still more to come. Due to the wealth of information now displayed by ORES, reviewers are strongly encouraged to use the system now rather than Twinkle; it will also correctly populate the logs.
Stub sorting, by SD0001: A new script is available for adding/removing stub tags. See User:SD0001/StubSorter.js, It features a simple HotCat-style dynamic search field. Many of the reviewers who are using it are finding it an improvement upon other available tools.
Assessment: The script at User:Evad37/rater makes the addition of Wikiproject templates extremely easy. New page creators rarely do this. Reviewers are not obliged to make these edits but they only take a few seconds. They can use the Curation message system to let the creator know what they have done.
DannyS712 bot III is now patrolling certain categories of uncontroversial redirects. Curious? Check out its patrol log.

I see you have added {{
collapsible option}} to many templates which don't have this option, e.g.
[2]. A template must be coded to have the option, e.g. by passing | state = {{{state|}}}
to {{
Navbox}}. {{
National squad}} does not have the option so it would currently be impossible to add the option to navboxes which use {{
National squad}} and don't call {{

Hi. In your recent edit to the article Napoleon III, you reverted an edit by 159.86.134.30 ( talk · contribs) who in turn was was reverting an edit by 2.92.126.42 ( talk · contribs). 2.92.126.42 ( talk · contribs) was engaged in an edit war. I assume you didn't notice because you were using huggle, but I thought you would like to know since your reversion was subsequently reverted. Please kindly edit back in info on Ilya assistant Charles Carrington Campbell. You have deleted vital information and making this article in complete. Hello, I am LPS and MLP Fan. I would like your comment about a series of recent edits about Jhonen Vasquez, since you were one of the reverters on the article. Vasquez posted a tweet saying that he wants his photos on Wikipedia to be replaced by a wombat. Editors have did that. I encountered User:Knownmints while patrolling for username violations. Looking at their contributions, they are involved with this issue. I have reverted his/her edits already. I have discussed this with the user on their talk page. I have requested semi-protection for the article. Please tell me about any of your comments regarding this. Thanks for reading. You have taken away my revisions for the virtual college counselor section for college admissions. I fixed the section after it was undone the first time and made it more information based. Please let me know what further changes need to be made to publish the update so that it conforms to what you are looking for. I have been in the higher education space for a long time and this is a disruptive concept that is taking shape. Thank you in advance.
I've noticed you've been rolling back some of the vandalism on the infoboxes of SA cities. It appears multiple accounts and IP addresses are vandalizing the same infoboxes over and over again. I'm not really sure how to respond to this. Perhaps a more experienced user such as yourself can help? See the edit history of Cape Town for an example. Hello, Shellwood. Recently you reverted the changes that I've made on the Kiev Oblast page. Please note that Kyiv Oblast is the official translation from Київська Область. [1] It is in the Article 133 of the Constitution of Ukraine. OlekUKR ( talk) 15:50, 6 September 2019 (UTC)
Thanks for reverting the incessant OR by Aledownload on Man in the High Castle. He's now evading his block using an IP. I'm going to go notify the blocking editor in a minute, but thought I'd give you a heads up just in case you hadn't noticed what was going on. ----Dr.Margi ✉ 20:42, 6 September 2019 (UTC)

This is for your valuable efforts for countering Vandalism and protecting Wikipedia from it's threats. I appreciate your effort. You are a defender of Wikipedia. Thank you. PATH SLOPU 09:47, 14 September 2019 (UTC) |
I see you have added {{
collapsible option}} to many templates which don't have this option, e.g.
[2]. A template must be coded to have the option, e.g. by passing | state = {{{state|}}}
to {{
Navbox}}. {{
National squad}} does not have the option so it would currently be impossible to add the option to navboxes which use {{
National squad}} and don't call {{
navbox}} directly.
