Hello, Panyd. This message is intended to notify administrators of important changes to the protection policy.
Extended confirmed protection (also known as "30/500 protection") is a new level of page protection that only allows edits from accounts at least 30 days old and with 500 edits. The automatically assigned "extended confirmed" user right was created for this purpose. The protection level was created following this community discussion with the primary intention of enforcing various arbitration remedies that prohibited editors under the "30 days/500 edits" threshold to edit certain topic areas.
In July and August 2016, a request for comment established consensus for community use of the new protection level. Administrators are authorized to apply extended confirmed protection to combat any form of disruption (e.g. vandalism, sock puppetry, edit warring, etc.) on any topic, subject to the following conditions:
Please review
the protection policy carefully before using this new level of protection on pages. Thank you.

HI there Panyd!
I've noticed that you've locked the Battlefield 1 page to prevent vandalism. I think this is great, but I'd like to correct some incorrect information.
I've noticed that Lars Gustavsson was moved from directors to designers, which is incorrect. Lars is the design director of EA DICE and should therefore be listed under directors. All employees that are are at director level, regardless of being design, art or creative director should all be listed under directors. Daniel Berlin has also been removed from the designers slot, which should also be reverted. Berlin worked as Lead Designer on Battlefield 1 and should be listed under the designers section.
Do you think this could be fixed to better represent the actual development process of the Battlefield game?
Thank you kindly! :) Opiumbloom ( talk) 22:41, 5 November 2016 (UTC)

22:59, 5 November 2016 (UTC)Hello,
Please note that TOTP based two-factor authentication is now available for all administrators. In light of the recent compromised accounts, you are encouraged to add this additional layer of security to your account. It may be enabled on your preferences page in the "User profile" tab under the "Basic information" section. For basic instructions on how to enable two-factor authentication, please see the developing help page for additional information. Important: Be sure to record the two-factor authentication key and the single use keys. If you lose your two factor authentication and do not have the keys, it's possible that your account will not be recoverable. Furthermore, you are encouraged to utilize a unique password and two-factor authentication for the email account associated with your Wikimedia account. This measure will assist in safeguarding your account from malicious password resets. Comments, questions, and concerns may be directed to the thread on the administrators' noticeboard. Hi Panyd.
A new user group, New Page Reviewer, has been created in a move to greatly improve the standard of new page patrolling. The user right can be granted by any admin at PERM. It is highly recommended that admins look beyond the simple numerical threshold and satisfy themselves that the candidates have the required skills of communication and an advanced knowledge of notability and deletion. Admins are automatically included in this user right.
It is anticipated that this user right will significantly reduce the work load of admins who patrol the performance of the patrollers. However, due to the complexity of the rollout, some rights may have been accorded that may later need to be withdrawn, so some help will still be needed to some extent when discovering wrongly applied deletion tags or inappropriate pages that escape the attention of less experienced reviewers, and above all, hasty and bitey tagging for maintenance. User warnings are available here but very often a friendly custom message works best.
If you have any questions about this user right, don't hesitate to join us at WT:NPR. (Sent to all admins). MediaWiki message delivery ( talk) 13:48, 15 November 2016 (UTC)

After reading FAQ I understood the reason behind your decision, and I would like to ask you if it would be possible for me to create an article with the name 'Universal Capital Bank AD Podgorica' and to have just one line of text in it? It was placed by FPAS because of long-term, persistent sockpuppetry, documented at WP:Sockpuppet investigations/Operahome. Hi there, need help in “talking” to two unknown users with no userId and no talk page. Two separate edits with false information were entered at two separate times at the La Luna Sangre cast information page. The edits involved changing character name to anime characters, didn’t even use the correct code format. The two users are 112.207.105.53 and 112.207.100.91. I’ve reverted their false edits twice. I had planned to talk to them on their page but they don’t have the option. Thanks Pipamidalton ( talk) 06:47, 9 December 2017 (UTC)
Thank you for your help with protecting the page. I tried to discuss with the unregistered users via User Talk:xxxxxx but couldn’t find anyone of those who were editing in false characters and actors. I couldn’t find any red talk link either. I have been able to clean as best as I can while the page is under protection. Thanks again, Pipamidalton ( talk) 19:40, 17 December 2017 (UTC) Pipamidalton ( talk) 19:40, 17 December 2017 (UTC)

Ok. I thought I'd made it clear a couple of days ago that I had acknowledged that a real man named Igor Janev existed. If you don't have any inclination to continue working on it, I'm just going to delete it. I'll give it a few hours first just in case you don't see this message right away. Hi. I'm afraid you have been used - or did you intend to override full-protection on Draft:Igor Janev, see log? It was placed by FPAS because of long-term, persistent sockpuppetry, documented at WP:Sockpuppet investigations/Operahome. Unless you have a particular reason for allowing this one through, I think it should just be deleted WP:CSD#G5 like several previous attempts. JohnCD ( talk) 15:32, 11 December 2016 (UTC)
Uhm, people, that "Risto Nikolovski" account is quite obviously the same ban-evading user as the "Operahome" IPs. Best to simply re-delete that page under G5. I've blocked the account. Fut.Perf. ☼ 05:52, 12 December 2016 (UTC)

You declined the U5 CSD on User:Narquise1/sandbox as "Arguably draft". I have to argue that the unsourced autobiography of a (then) 15 year old child which links out to their soundcloud page, someone with just 3 contributions all of which were self-promotional, is the model of a U5. Please reconsider. Cabayi ( talk) 12:07, 19 February 2018 (UTC)
I see you rejected my nomination of Deepak Bajpai for speedy deletion, and mentioned that A7 did not apply here. You may be right, but it seemed to me he is not an elected politician, he is a functionary who manages election campaigns etc, for what is essentially a local political party. (I might be wrong here because I know nothing about Indian politics.) Cwmhiraeth ( talk) 21:05, 20 February 2018 (UTC)
Hello Panyd, Thank you for your explanations about your speed deletion of my article Archaeology museum of Catalonia (Ullastret). As you said I have sent an email to OTRS which is pending review, but I'm not able to contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion", because I can't visit the page. Can you help me please? thank you. Maite - Xarxa de museus de les comarques de Girona ( talk) 11:20, 27 February 2018 (UTC)

Sorry to trouble you so early in the morning, but Drmies' talkpage is protected. Can you copy the following over?
The problem is not with the editors, it's with the administrators. JamesBWatson, would you like to provide evidence to back your claim that Bigshowandkane64 hacked your account? On 4 July 2016 Bigshowandkane64 wrote:
He blocked my IP address for a total of 4 years, until 2018.
The "He" in question is Elockid.
Exhibit 1 is Martin Sherman (actor)
Exhibit 2 is Dusty Rhodes (wrestler).
Exhibit 3 is the comment made by Bigshowandkane64 on 4 July 2016 cited above. It does not appear in the link Ebyabe provided on his/her talk on 3 July - the content of that document is drastically different from what it was originally. Ebyabe sent two satirical welcome messages at 06:59 this morning six minutes after putting the boot in at 06:53.
Exhibit 4 is John Stride.
Exhibit 5 is Wikipedia talk:Requests for adminship/Sro23.
