I am down with malaria since sunday, will not be able to edit atleast 2 more days. you decide if you want to wait. I tried uploading flickr images but there is an error. please upload the imagges manuaally links: [1] [2] [3]. You can browse through [4] gallery. the photographer rolling on has graciously asked if some pics of trek are needed. send me the links of the photos you like, i will seek permission. myth_drinker has also given me a +ve reply but the wrong license for the rudranth pic. you can browse [5] will ask for permission. About the hook, try to place a picture of kedarnath or Shiva so it is at top of DYk. if extends limit reword suggestion: that according to Hindu mythology, god Shiva (pic) assumed form of a bull and his hump, arms, face, navel and hair are worshipped at Panch Kedar temple (or central temple pic) circuit Uttarakhand, India? The dyk hook suggested has jargon like pandavas, shiva, Mahabharata which need to be explained. some non-Hindus may not Shiva is a Hindu god and thus may not click to read the articles. As you know the hooks with 5000+ hits has no/little jargon and has a pic. eg ... that Lake Pichola (pictured), an artificial fresh water lake created in 1362, is named after the nearby Picholi village in Udaipur city? OR ... that the Purna-Kalasha (pictured), worshipped by Hindus as the Divine Mother, symbolizes mother Earth with her water, minerals and vegetation? (9.8k hits) from my collecton. For Rudranth, " The holy river Vaitarani, which flows near the rudranth hindu shrine is identified with the "river of salvation", where souls of the dead cross to reach the other world". We now have pics of all temples so others can be grouped or individually nominated with a pic? a dyk about nature, mountains or trek near temples or the fact that the symbolic image is moved will be interesting. plz check Banashankari dyk too. bye-- Redtigerxyz Talk 05:52, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
As regards Saptha Badri, please see my user space : User:Nvvchar/sandbox/Saptha Badri. As an ardent Vaishnavite, I had heard about it from my elders; some of them had even visited a few shrines long time ago on the way to Badrinath (those days there was no awareness of photography). There are quite a few references on the Saptha Badri, eventhough the Badrnaith-Kedarnath Committee talks about Panch Badri only. Let us do it with Adi Badri to start with and expand to cover the rest six later as we gather more references and photos. At present, except Badrinath, there are no stub articles also on the others. I have also started expansion of a stub article on Triyuginarayan Temple. But not many refrences are available at present to make it a more than 5x expansion. Please let me know if our articiles are ready for uploading so that I will start doing it right away.-- Nvvchar ( talk) 15:07, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

Hi there. We encountered one another many months ago when you were putting together that article on the igneous contact suite near ?Jodhpur I think?? I'm grateful for all the articles on the subcontinent that you are contributing. I'm afraid i've tagged your
Kedarnath Wild Life Sanctuary with an issue about the paraphrasing, which may mean it doesn't get promoted at DYK, and thought I should drop by and explain. The example i listed at DYK is this:
Source text:
"The tropical zone, which does not occur above 1,200m, is absent. The subtropical zone is represented mainly by chir pine Pinus roxburghii up to 2,000m. Euphorbia royleana occasionally occurs on dry, southern aspects up to 1,500m. Within the temperate zone occur ban Quercus incana (1,500-2,100m), moru Q. dilatata (2,130-2,750m) and karsu Q. semecarpifolia (2,500-3,300m) oak forests. Rhododendron arboreum often constitutes a second storey. Oak may be mixed with fir Abies pindrow at higher elevations (2,600-3,400m). The subalpine zone consists of birch Betula utilis (3,100-3,350m) with an understorey of Rhododendron campanulatum. Rhododendron extends into the alpine zone, from above the forest limit to 3,500m. The herb community of the subalpine and alpine meadows may be dominated by Danthonia cumminsii, which forms tussocks of grass over extensive areas. The flowering plants of Tungnath and Kedarnath are enumerated by Semwal and Gaur (1981) and Semwal (1984), respectively. Two sedges, Carex lacta and C. munda, previously known to occur only as far west as Nepal have been recorded from near Tungnath (Green, 1985)"
WP article text:
"However, the sanctuary does not have tropical zone, as this zone is generally reported below 1,200 m (3,900 ft). Chir pine Pinus roxburghii is the main subtropical zone's vegetation recorded up to 2,000 m (6,600 ft). In the dry southern slopes, Euphorbia royleana occur up to 1,500 m (4,900 ft). In the temperate zone, at different elevations, ban Quercus incana (1,500–2,100 m/4,900–6,900 ft), moru Q. dilatata (2,130–2,750 m/7,000–9,000 ft) and karsu Q. semecarpifolia (2,500-3,300m) oak forests have been reported. Rhododendron arboreum is generally seen at the second level. Oak combined with fir Abies pindrow are recorded at higher elevations (2,600–3,400 m/8,500–11,000 ft). The sub alpine zone consists of birch Betula utilis (3,100–3,350 m/10,000–11,000 ft) with an "understorey" of Rhododendron campanulata. Rhododendron extends into the alpine zone, from above the forest limit to 3,500 m (11,000 ft). At Tungnath, the flowering plants consisting of two sedges, Carex lacta and C. munda, have been reported. In the past, these were reported only in the far west region of Nepal."
There may be other cases in the article - this was just the first I picked up. An explanation of why text that is this close to the original can be a problem can be found at this essay: Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Briefly, even though the words have changed, it can still be a copyright infringement. In terms of style, I think there may be a little too much detailed info in the text as it stands. I'd like to help improve it, but i don't think i'll be able to in time to solve the problem for DYK. Look forward to continuing to work with you occasionally, and to reading your articles! hamiltonstone ( talk) 09:04, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
- Taxonomic Notes:This taxon is sometimes treated as a Himalayan subspecies of Alpine Musk Deer M. chrysogaster (e.g. Grubb 1990), but it was separated by Groves and Grubb (1987) and by Groves et al. (1995) on the basis of different skull proportions.

Instead of organizing the article as history and legend. I suggest there be 7 sections for the seven temples with main links if the articles are created. A separate section for trek paths. added a few links to research. -- Redtigerxyz Talk 15:05, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
Thanks to you and Redtigerxyz for all the great work on the Garhwal temples. As I mentioned on his talk page, when I added the Panch Badri section to the Badrinath temple article a couple years back, I had hoped to make an article out of it someday, but couldn't find much material. What a joy to see so many of the temples from that area now, with photos and stories. Many thanks, Priyanath talk 04:20, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
Hello, Nvvchar;
I'm not as up-to-date on abelisaurs as some of the WP:DINO members, so I put on the talk page there to see what they thought. J. Spencer ( talk) 15:51, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
Well, Navvchar, I haven't done an assessment before. But as your writing impress me I might then,
Eld's Deer: Pretty lengthy, adequately sourced, style, alright. I think this can be as asses a B-class article now. First can you put all the scientific names in italics. I think following observations of mine would be helpful in the GAN. A solid lead section perhaps? It would be better if you move the inline citation to the first sentence of the paragraph rather than the last line. If there is possibility to disperse the citations through out the para it would be nice. Is it possible to use numbered list rather than the a,b,c list.
Keibul Lamjao National Park: same above with the scientific names. Disperse citations again rather than bunching them together? Embed the list in Avifauna section. Be careful about the WP is not a travel guide.
I am having an exam on Sunday. I am afraid, I couldn't fix the minor changes in the articles. With little work in the GAN discussion I hope this two will be promoted. All the best then! Regards-- Chanaka L ( talk) 15:16, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
This site [6] will not be regarded as WP:reliable source (RS) and its reliability may be questioned by editors as it is an informal blog by a non-scholar and the information can not be considered trustworthy. I have not removed the ref and leave the decision to you. [7] is not a RS too as it is a marketing, commercial site which may have distorted facts. -- Redtigerxyz Talk 14:49, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
