I removed the prod tag because the article was prod'ed in the past and per this the article isn't a candidate for the prod process. If you want to delete the article send it to WP:AFD. 月 (Moon) と 暁 (Sunrise) 12:49, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
for the articles you are prodding, have you searched for references? Although they should have been put in by the author, if they haven;t, according to WP:BEFORE its your responsibility to check As reviewing admin, I will do a further check before deleting, but it helps to know what you have already done. That an article is unsourcedis not reason to delete. That it can not be sourced is reason to delete. DGG ( talk) 14:09, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
I've added some sources to this article. Incidentally, it wouldn't have taken much effort to use Google to find some sources (or, in this case, to make one click through to the Spanish version of the article, where numerous sources are listed) rather than lazily proposing deletion simply because the article's subject is unfamiliar to you. -- Nick Boalch\ talk 14:27, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit added maintenance templates to Groothandelsgebouw. When adding maintenance templates, please be sure that the article has the problem and give a valid reason for the adding of the template in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your adding of this template has been reverted. Does Amsterdam Hilton Hotel which I started a minute ago also lack proper references? What part about initial translation from Dutch wikipedia don't you get? I don't know which is which as I have translated from Dutch wikipedia based on these sources. Citations and development can continue when the article develops. I'm interested in your reasoning for redirecting this to the artist rather then to the relevant album (as I had done). I was under the impression that most singles were redirected to the album they were on if we had an article on the album. I'm not particularly bothered either way but would still be interested in knowing why you changed the redirect especially as you described it as "correcting". Thanks, Dpmuk ( talk) 16:50, 1 May 2009 (UTC).
While I do appreciate your point that primary schools are not generally important, there are about 40 other OCDSB primary schools which DO seem to be important enough, and no more extensive than Lakeview. sorry if this is annoying, but I'm really just trying to make a wikipedia page like the Operation Smile, just informative so if people have questions they can just look there and see oh hey thats what that is. im not trying ot promote or spam or anything. if i need to change my username fine i just dont know how. im only in highschool tryign to get an internship and i have alot of homework to do so any help would be awesome!! okay! thank you so much, I'm not sure what to do in this case, cause I'm not trying to promote it just provide information. It is possible I still could find a way to do so without making it sound biased, this may sound selfish but if I don't make this page I won't have an internship, its not like I'm trying to make it sound biased just simply state what it is, everything that goes along with it, I was planning on adding more for example controversy and such but I didn't get the chance too. Also I will make a new username, I'm just really confused right now. The goal for the page isn't to promote it, just to get information out, good and bad. Imbpwiki ( talk) 01:31, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

Could you please explain why you placed a {{ prod}} tag on the Phillip E. Carter article? Isn't it counter-policy to place a tag on an article within one minute of its creation? Carter's predecessor's Charles "Cully" Stimson, and Sandra Hodgkinson were merited coverage here. President Obama has announced that he is shutting Guantanamo. Are you seriously suggesting the DoD's point man in the shutdown does not merit coverage? Geo Swan ( talk) 04:25, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
Hi, I notice you've posted a 'more references' tag on my recent article. Does this tag need to be added, as most of the text is sourced (albeit not much is on-line). Is there a help page as to when such tags should be added. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Eldumpo ( talk • contribs) 12:17, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
Yes, I agree more sources would be better, although given the time period we're dealing with I would've thought there's not many that exist anyway (certainly not on-line which I tried to check). But then couldn't that apply to virtually any historical article of this type - do they all need such tags adding, isn't it a given that more references are generally better? The facts given are referenced, and why should something written by 'the club' not be considered a relevant source? Just to confirm the programme I refer to is a recent one which had a piece on historical players and where the info from the article has largely derived. Do you think I should've placed these comments here, or on the article's discussion page? Regards. Eldumpo ( talk) 13:18, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
To correct something I said above, I don't think it's more sources that are needed as such, but more information on the person - which is welcomed from others. However, I dispute that I have not provided the sources to back up the information - all the details provided are fully sourced, just not from an on-line site, but my understanding is that the printed article is just as good a source. I can't believe your last comment on possible deletion - surely no justification for that. Eldumpo ( talk) 16:34, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
I am new to Wikipedia and don't understand what is going on, so apologies in advance. I was asked to provide references (other than articles authored by myself) and when I did, you deleted them. I created the article. What is needed to be done to uphold the Wiki standards? I just wanted to drop you a note that I've tagged this redirect for speedy deletion, but I didn't want to template you. Another user removed this station from the Moody Radio affiliate list (which was reverted due to no edit summary), and also added text to the WFRN disambiguation page, which I've since moved to the talk page. These are the user's only two edits, so I suspect they may be associated with the station. Anyway, I've taken a look at the station's website and poked around the web otherwise, and I can't see anything that suggests that the station is affiliated in any way with Moody. So, I've taken them back off the affiliate list and applied the speedy. It was a while ago that you created the redirect, so I'm guessing you might not remember what suggested they were affiliated, but I thought I'd check. At the very least, I thought you deserved the heads-up. Mlaffs ( talk) 17:23, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Hi, I added an article last April 13, a biography of Gustavo Marín, and I noticed that RadioFan added a kind of warning note on "notability." I have tried to figure out what it is I should add to make this article Wikipedia worthy, but I'm afraid I need some suggestions from more experienced users. I also tried to find out how I could get those suggestions, including opening a "talk" page (?) but simply can't figure out how that works, and whether it even works. I then came to this RadioFan talk page and found it to be a place where other people are asking similar questions, and I just hope I'm doing the right thing by raising my questions here. If so, great, and I will be looking for replies, and if not, do you think you could point me in the right direction? There is so much literature on this and that and I can't seem to find the right path. I truly apologize. Vedah Eulalia ( talk) 10:41, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Hi, I noticed your edits to the House article. May I ask why you put the information in the article? In my opinion, mentioning the worldwide broadcasting of the show is quite unnecessary. If you have a good reason why it should be in the article (perhaps somewhere in the wikipedia guidelines international broadcasting is mentioned), I am, of course, willing to change my opinion. If you do not, please stop adding it to the article to avoid an edit war. Thanks.-- Music 26/ 11 11:42, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

The original plan was to have one set up at Arthur Morton (cricketer, born 1882) and the other set up at Arthur Morton (cricketer, born 1883), with Arthur Morton (cricketer) set up as a disambiguation page. With your permission, I would like to move Arthur Morton (cricketer, born 1883) back to this page name, and turn Arthur Morton (cricketer) into a disambiguation page as I had originally intended.

I fully understand the points you make about Wikipedia guidelines and citation discipline, but the problem with the TV series Gwlad y Gan / 'Land of Song' is that there is virtually no published account of it all all, save for some passing references in material relating to a) the TWW company, and b) the show's star Ivor Emmanuel. Yet the show is still very well-remembered in Wales and is often asked about. Having researched it thoroughly (mainly because of a family connection with those who appeared in the show from the beginning, including my own father), there seemed to be a need for SOME account of the series at least, espcially as I have had direct access to some of the key personnel. Thereforfe, of course, this article is bound to be anecdotal in some respects, but I am fully prepared to answer any challenges over accuracy that may result. I checked the talk archives of WP:Journalism last week and saw that it was proposed that daily newspapers always be considered notable; the problem is that few non-journalists will agree with a paper like this. It gets only 10 hits in the "news" link that comes with prod-nn, and none of those hits remotely suggests notability. Usually even small newspapers will get a lot more than 10 hits off of items quoted from the paper. Can this be saved, and if so, how? - Dank ( push to talk) 02:46, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
Responding to the deletion of Reverie World Studios. I have no objection, they have not released anything yet, sp it could be remade in a few months. Brightgalrs ( talk) 01:32, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
I removed the 'See also' item you added because 1.) STS-400 is the designation for this flight only, and was already linked in the article (already linked items don't belong in 'see also' section), and 2.) The CSCS numbering will return to how it was pre-STS-125, meaning it is STS-3xx, where xx= flight after current mission. So rescue for STS-127 will be STS-328, but the link goes to the generic page of STS-3xx. Hope that explains how they've set it up at NASA, and thus here as well. Hello RadioFan. I think I've committed some kind of technical blunder (it is not vandalism, I promise you!). I have just tried to create the article, Karandavyuha Sutra, but I found that when I clicked on the superscript numerals to get to my references, they would not show up. That article was called "Karandavyuha Sutra" and had a couple or so dots under certain letters (Sanskrit diacritics). As the references did not work, I decided to delete that whole page and start again with a new page called "Karandavyuha Sutra" without the dots under that name (i.e. without Sanskrit diacritics). I saw your tag come up, saying no references were givnen, etc., and I thought that must be a mistake - as I have in fact given references. They are now in brackets in that article, after most of the main points. Anyway, sorry if I have cocked up in some way and have caused you a headache. I hope we can sort out this problem! Suddha ( talk) 13:17, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
Hello again RadioFan. Thanks for the nice answer. You know, it is strange: when I created the first version of "Karandavyuha Sutra", I added all the references using the correct method ( [1]), but when I clicked on the superscript numerals, I was not brought to those references. I have noticed this before when I try to create an entirely new page: this method of referencing never seems to work. But it works fine if I add refs to already existing aritcles. What am I doing wrong?! Best regards. Suddha ( talk) 13:27, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
Hi once more! I think I've got it now: thanks to your good self, that References section has been added, and I have now created the correct format for the references. Thanks for your help - it seems to have worked! Suddha ( talk) 13:39, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
hello, this is about the deletion proposal of the article on Brajanath sarma. Well, you were quite right for that proposal as I did not put any references but deleting on the basis of 'non notable person' is probably not justified. In some articles of wikipedia namely Phani Sarma, Kohinoor Opera, his name is mentioned and also brief accounts of his association to those noted persons from Assam. I have added some references to the article and also changed few things. Moreover, 'mobile theaters of Assam' is one of a kind institution in the world, and as the pioneer of the institution, I think he should have an article in wikipedia. Waiting for your words. I appreciate that articles about organizations as opposed to places or generic topics are particularly sensitive to the possibility of COI. Thanks for your interest. I added the article for context for other articles on the history of the buildings that CAPA mangaes. My personal hobby/interest is in performance and theatre history, especially local. My profession is in another field entirely and I have no ties to any local arts organizations. Please note I have added a number of refs, such as I could gather without a trip to the library, to the CAPA article. I hope these will make the article more sound. I'm on a borrowed PC for a moment so I don't have my usual tools to extract, edit, and upload a logo but it appears that the logo on WDXR is just flat out the wrong logo. It doesn't match the formatting or the frequency. There is what appears to be a current logo at this station group site so if you were inclined to add the proper logo, I can't see how anybody could object. - Dravecky ( talk) 05:05, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
Hi. The debate seemed like a "no consensus" to me considering both sides (despite blocked users), and it wouldn't really be kosher to change an AfD close well after it's been performed; if you'd like to take it to DRV, that's certainly within your..."rights" probably isn't the best word, but you get my idea. Thank you for your comments regarding the Codice article; it simply translates the article that already exists on the French wikipedia ( http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conseil_pour_la_Diffusion_de_la_Culture_Economique) but I'm not sure how to link both articles?
Regarding the "notability" problem, as the French version has been online for a few months now, I guess it also qualifies to be on the English version? We have had many international partners willing to have more information about us, which means the English article would help us a lot.
Thank you for your help. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Codiceanglais ( talk • contribs) 11:10, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
Notability is established through references to 3rd party sources. The article needs to be referenced in both wikis. Presnce on another wiki doesn't provide any guarantee on the English wiki. Also, what is your connection to this organization?-- RadioFan ( talk) 11:16, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
Hi RadioFan,
You flagged the article Octagon Press Ltd for lack of notability. The difficulty I'm having, which you'll see immediately if you have another look at the article now that it's been extended, is that hardly anybody has said anything significant about the publisher itself, but the company's founder, authors and products have had a lot of coverage and are notable. Folk talk about authors and books but often only mention publishers in passing, especially if the company is not quoted on the stock exchange.
The problem is that the letter of the wikipedia law rules out such inheritence. Is the wikipedia policy too inflexible here? Ideas most welcome. Thanks Esowteric ( talk) 20:20, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

I'm interested in your reasoning for redirecting this to the artist rather then to the relevant album (as I had done). I was under the impression that most singles were redirected to the album they were on if we had an article on the album.

I am trying to create a presence for Gateway School on Wikipedia in order to educate people on our history and to have an example our students can use as an example and constructively edit. When I search I find hundreds of primary and middle schools including several of our peer schools in the area, why are we being denied this resource while others are allowed it, is there something I need to focus on to make this an acceptable entry? I appreciate any feedback you can give me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jksc01 ( talk • contribs) 21:29, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

Hi there. There are two different cricketers for the same team named Arthur Morton.
I won't do anything until you give the okay, but this would be the more convenient solution. Bobo . 13:34, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
Hi. I made it a redirect to Stamp_collecting#History. There's already a well-sourced section on this very subject there. Merging didn't seem feasible to me. Okay? Yintaɳ 11:19, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
Hello radiofan,
I see you redirected two articles with this reason: "redirecting to city article per convention for articles on primary schools". This is actually completely new for me so i am rather interested in that statement. Do you have any link to that convention? As far as i always knew schools were always considered notable due to there being no specific guideline on schools (Since WP:SCHOOL failed to gain consensus). Apparently im out of date with the guidelines on schools :) Excirial ( Contact me, Contribs) 11:45, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
RadioFan, hello!
With your help and guidance, I hope I have done enough to meet the notability guidelines for the article Gustavo Marín. Can you let me know if it is all right now? If so, will you be the one to remove the tag {{ notability}}, or am I authorized to do so myself? If not, can you tell me what sorts of references might still be missing? Thank you for your enormous help Vedah Eulalia ( talk) 14:47, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

I have removed the {{ prod}} tag from Henry Thomas Hamblin, which you proposed for deletion, because I think that this article should not be deleted from Wikipedia. I'm leaving this message here to notify you about it. If you still think the article should be deleted, please don't add the {{ prod}} template back to the article. Instead, feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks!
I have added some third party links to show that the "The Hamblin Trust" is (widely) recognised in the UK for providing a venue for events relating to complementary health and personal development. I have also found a third party book in which Hamblin is mentioned. Shadygrove2007 ( talk) 16:38, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Greetings. I took the liberty of restoring the intermediate edits you reverted in this article when you restored the speedy deletion tag on the article. I think you were right to tag the article, and I don't disagree with speedying the article in its current form, but reverting what appears to be a good-faith attempts to improve the article strikes me as throwing out the baby with the bathwater. Keep up the good work in monitoring new articles, but please be more careful. Thanks! -- Finngall talk 17:16, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Dear RadioFan: "I know" somebody, has nothing to do with "a close connection to some of the people, places or things i have written about". You can call me a fan of this music, thats about it. I also "know", Michael Jackson, but I would not be able to actually contact him... So please don´t get me wrong here. I am not used to work in this Wikipedia world. I am just starting. And I am also not used to deal with all the rules and regulations. They seem to be quite complicated and complex. I am sure you will find a way to destroy my work and delete all I did, if you really want to. So just go ahead and do what you have to do. Dear RadioFan: This is how it worked: I got in contact with the company, explained what´s going on and they reacted promptly as they wanted to support my work. I would appreciate if you could delete all your ugly banners from the pages. First reactions on the talk page should have given enough answers to all your questions. Hi RadioFan. You created this stub and it's been tagged for speedy deletion.
Hope that explains how they've set it up at NASA, and thus here as well. deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at

Thanking you.. উদ্দীপ ( talk) 19:15, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

Cheers Markhh ( talk) 20:18, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
