Hi John, you have blocked this vandalism account, that used my name from german wikipedia. I'm sysop at german wikipedia (see de:Benutzer:Tröte and User:Troete is my account here. Would you please delete the userpage and the usertalk of the vandal User:Tröte, that links on my german account? I think, this vandal is just a revenge of someone I blocked on german wikipedia. Thank you very much. Greetings, -- Troete ( talk) 11:37, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
Good Morning John! I recently posted my bio http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaughan_lazar and was immediately deleted for reasons of "Copyright Infringement". I am Vaughan Lazar, and I am also the founder, owner et al for Pizza Fusion which hold the trademarks and rights to the source. What additional information would you like from me? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.68.183.221 ( talk) 12:34, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
So what should I do? Should I only remove the link of edwinraja.com? Cause I don't need that as well, it's already on Google's #1 for Edwin Raja. Or I couldn't submit that article though? I'm new and really confuse here, too many links, sorry.
Owh by the way John, I recently register here because I want to put information about my self. If it's restricted, you can safely delete my account, no problem. Thanks anyway —Preceding unsigned comment added by Iwingmusic ( talk • contribs) 23:34, 20 November 2009 (UTC)

Well John, you're very fast on deletion but not fast enough on answering questions! You didn't answer my questions. You think we're nothing right? You think we only want to drive traffic to our self right? Because sort of sites did answer like you on certain problem. "You need Faceboook not Wiki", "You need Bebo not Wiki", "Wiki is not for you", "You blablabla", "Wiki blablabla". So why don't you recruit workers to do anything you want instead of offering anyone to register with all good words of benefits? You're not informative as an admin. You only tell sort of words with large of links. Maybe you should give us example of writing not just theoretical words. Am I wrong? Look, I just got lost here, no heart feeling. And I just say what I think it's right. Sorry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Iwingmusic ( talk • contribs) 11:02, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
Ok thank you very much John. You're kind. You didn't mention Facebook or Bebo in my talkpage, I read it in some answers to users. It's up to you to say like that but consider that user could write here with a non standard or confusing tags, don't they know about those sites? Do you have to explain about those sites to them? Lol!. By the way yes my message was 23:34 but it was on 20 November 2009, and you answered Zalar on 21 November 2009, would like to say sorry? lol! Hope success be with you John. Regard. You have moved the article Hakeem sulaimon to the user page of the article creator. The article he created was obviously about himself. Should autobiographies of unremarkable persons as a rule be moved to the editor's user page rather than be deleted? Amsaim ( talk) 21:13, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
Hi, just for clarification and to avoid misunderstanding: When you de-speedied Phiale of Megara, I take it your remark that the quoted text was legitimate fair use was referring only to the latest version of the article, with only the brief quotation in the footnote? If that's what you meant, I have no quarrel with it. I don't know if you noticed, my original tagging was about an earlier version, prior to cleanup/stubbing-down, when there was much more copied material and a lack of proper attribution. If your remark about fair use was meant to refer to that, then indeed I'd find it quite problematic. Fut.Perf. ☼ 11:15, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Justinbivona ( talk • contribs) 20:30, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
I know what the tag said. I looked it up and made sure it met the criteria. Under the criteria for musicians and ensembles, there is a list of 12 criteria. It says "a musician or ensemble may be notable if it meets at least one of the following criteria." Telacasters meet more than one of those. They've been played on the radio, they've been reviewed in the press, they've toured and opened for really big bands in big venues, the individual members alone have been involved in numerous mainstream music projects. How does this not constitute a valid Wikipedia entry?
Numbers 4, 11 and 7 for sure. The page was deleted before all the information could be put up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Justinbivona ( talk • contribs) 23:03, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

Hi, there are some articles related to the Engine (boogie-rock band) article you recently incubated per the AFD discussion. I was wondering if instead of prodding or AFDing these related articles, maybe it would be better to move them to sub-pages of the incubated article at Wikipedia:Article Incubator/Engine (boogie-rock band)? The articles in question are Well Oiled (album), Autowreck (album), Live At Kent 1988, and Engine - Live As Yer Like (Video). I can't see any of them surviving prod/AFD, but they might be worth keeping around while the incubation work is on-going. -- Muchness ( talk) 18:38, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

Hi John,
In the discussion you quoted, I stated that both Pieing and Piebald were valid targets for Pied and there were no objections. The user who suggested that Pied be turned into a soft redirect stated that "an alternative would be to redirect it to Piebald," and again, there were no objections. A redirect to Piebald is preferable to a soft redirect to Wiktionary because if a user is searching on Wikipedia, it is likeliest that the user is looking for an article, not a dictionary definition. Considering that there are two articles on Wikipedia which are valid targets for Pied, redirecting to Wiktionary is not the best solution. The Piebald article discusses the term "pied" and equates the two terms; do you have any sources which demonstrate that the two are such disparate terms that they should not be discussed on the same article?

Hi John,
I'm a new Wikipedia editor, still learning the ropes, and believe you may have deleted the page I was just creating for the web series Living With The Infidels.
I was just about to add a series of references but found the page already deleted. Living With The Infidels was probably the most talked about web series of the year by the British mainstream press, featured everywhere from The Sun, The Guardian and Radio 4 to Al Jazeera and an Australian TV talk show). It also recently won best web series of 2009 at the http://www.festival-4ecrans.eu/. So I believe warrants a mention.
I realise I hadn't yet included any of the references to the above when creating the page, but trust you'll understand I'm a newcomer. Would you be able to reinstate the page?
Regards,

Departments or degree programs within a university, college, or school are not notable unless they have made significant contributions to their field (e.g., University of Chicago Department of Economics), or produced a number of notable graduates ( USC School of Cinematic Arts, Oxford PPE).
I would like the article to be undeleted and I would like to add/edit information on the page so that it is a reliable source of information and make sure that it is notable. How should I go about doing this?
When writing about subjects that are close to you, don't use your own personal knowledge of the subject, and don't cite yourself, your web site, or the subject's web site. Instead, use what is written about the subject by other people, independently, as your sources. Cite those sources in your very first edit. If you don't have such sources, don't write.

Hello,
I noticed you added this article to the incubator following the AfD. I appreciate the jesture, but I think the decision is wrong. The AfD did technically indicate it might be a redirect, but due to it being a combo-AfD mostly on a somewhat-related record company that conclusion was wrong. (The number of opinions specifically on Bumblefoot was insufficient to form a proper consensus in any case).
A quick search indicates clear notability. If the article had its own AfD, I am quite confident it would be a keep.
Given this, are you OK with me simply undoing the redirect (possibly with an edit summary that says anyone who disagrees is welcome to seek a proper AfD)?
Thanks, ThaddeusB ( talk) 04:28, 4 December 2009 (UTC)

At the moment I'm looking for some users to do a bit of testing for me, as I haven't (and in some cases can't) use all the functions myself. This would basically involve using the program from time to time, being prepared for it to mess up on you, and reporting any errors to me :). For reasons that should be fairly obvious, the readers at GiantBomb.com have come after our Wikipedia page. Despite personally clearing the air with Geff Gerstman, his readers have caused you to delete our page. Admittedly, our page needed to be updated (we have accolades beyond being listed on several prominent sites), but using things like Alexa ratings and a misstep by one of my editors isn't much of a case for deletion. I'd like the page restored - is this something you can do, or can you direct me to the appropriate person please?

Thank you for a prompt reply regarding this matter. I'm a newbie here, your help would be very much appreciated. Thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Delajoker ( talk • contribs) 16:12, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
Hi John - I'm not familiar with the speedy deletion criteria for files such as photos, but I assume that a picture of a minor taken on a cellphone and uploaded to wikipedia is likely cause for immediate deletion? The file can be found here. I didn't want to take my question to a noticeboard as I figured the less eyes the better. Cheers, -- Jezebel'sPonyo shhh 16:06, 16 December 2009 (UTC)

I left this on Sameed786's talk but will post it here too in case it's more convenient for you; I saw all those articles from their beginnings, and John, originally these characters were described as Pakistani gangsters who were knifing each other with shivs, then they were changed to international football superstars, and then they were downgraded to under-16 nobodies. A quick Google search on the names turned up pretty much nothing but Facebook pages. That's why I hoax-tagged them, although especially for the later incarnations I'm sure it wasn't really obvious on the face of it. --Glenfarclas (talk) 22:30, 16 December 2009 (UTC)

i start new here in Wikipedia i try to write few articles in English, and Mohammed Sami Abugoush is my first, i write few info each day but articles is not fast food read when we are hungry to read, and Wikipedia is my favorer site.
Mohammed Abugoush is well known person in lots of middle east diamond business , i was search the net one day to write article for new york time news paper about diamond and gold business in Middle east i was amazed about the amount of information i collect about him, so i called him by phone and i took his permit to write and i got some personal info from him, i start to write until i reach the wall of deletion , i ask you why? we should be considerate to other people culture and respect each other way of life , on wiki i read everyday articles its not worth be on here but i respect the fact there is people this person is important for them , maybe you know some of famous people but not all , if the article need to be fix so we fix it but deletion mean we ignore the fact this honorable man exist. i am sure you are educated person and you know there is people exist with history and experience but we didn't hear about them. i ask you please to reconsider your deletion and give us a chance to prove our point thank you and regards. if you like to contact me throw email diamondexpert@consultant.com diamondexpert--Diamondexpert 14:35, 18 December 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Diamondexpert ( talk • contribs)

Why did you delete the article on Logan Stanton? Logan Stanton is a notable model. Google her name and find all sorts of results. Jotorious ( talk) 23:05, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
Logan was born during France's pre-industrial revolution in the 18th century. Confusingly enough, she was born in Greenland. She spent most of her childhood years trying to hone her finger painting skills... Logan was informed that role would require being bilingual, to which she adamantly claimed would be impossible because she had never even kissed a girl... Logan is best known for being the only octagon girl to double as a security guard at UFC events when they are short handed, and stealing mouth guards from fighters between rounds, because she gets bored easily.

Hey John, thanks for restoring the article about Ron Thal. I'm glad you did that and I'm gonna look into it for improvements. Actually, I was mailed by Ron Thal himself about a discussion going on at his forum regarding the wiki, and he sent me the original txt with the article written by himself. He couldn't publish it because it would be deleted so I did him a favor to just put it up as soon as I could. I knew about the article in the incubator, but had no idea how to restore it (I'm a newbie to wikipedia). I hope you understand what I did. And if you can help me improve the article with sources, I have friends to search around and contact with Ron himself to get the info necessary like citations. Hi. :) If you decline a WP:CSD#G12, unless copyvio concerns seem unfounded, please blank it for listing at WP:CP. If you just remove the speedy, there's a chance that the tagger will not follow up, and we may wind up continuing publication of a copyright infringement after it has been pointed out to us. I've done it with Albert–Brauer–Hasse–Noether theorem (I'm watching User talk:Ozob due to that contributor's assistance with a WP:CCI), so this is just a request for future situations. -- Moonriddengirl (talk) 19:02, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
Just to let you know in case you are monitoring your deletion log: You just appropriately WP:CSD#U1ed a couple user pages, which I have now restored. That user retired for three weeks, and just requested that I restore the pages I originally deleted for the same reason. Conveniently, the restored versions still had the perfectly valid deletion requests. I brought them back, but this time remembered to remove the requests. That is totally my bad - sorry for creating extra work for you. - 2/0 ( cont.) 00:23, 22 December 2009 (UTC)

Hi,
your deletion of my entry - still in formative stages - for Ric Horner seems somewhat harsh. RH is an artist who, over many years now, has developed an oeuvre of considerable interest, largely because of its integrity. Although he is practically a hermit, paintings by him are owned by several notable people on wikipedia, and his works are both brilliantly original and sought-after. You'll find him on the castelarts.co.uk webpage named next to Damien HIrst, whose status as wikipedia-worthy is unquestioned.
It is difficult to see what further form of eminence I can use for establshing his credibility beyond pointing to galleries and art shows. RH has not stooped to book illustrations, and nor has he appaeared in the London media, which a lot of artists base their 'importance' on, rather than their art. He just paints light in an extraordinarily accomplished way. I would have written more on this this evening if you had not deleted my start.
Thanks for considering this request

Thanks - I'd appreciate you undeleting it, so it can be improved (please could you direct me via a link). I'll add press reviews as references, and further details. May I point out that, for artists, galleries are one of the most important links; and while not being necessarily independent, they are a guarantee of worthiness/interest - a good gallery does not just take any tom, dick or harry on to its books. May I also point out (by way of trying to be helpful) that this is all getting too complicated for someone like me who just wanted to assist wikipedia in an area where it is lacking. I don't have the time - or the wikipedia skills - to do a lot of this stuff. If there is a feedback forum it might be worth noting that it is very discouraging to have a post deleted, probably by a non-expert in the field, after editing an entry. The instinctive reaction is to say that I won't bother again. I've started this one so I'll finish it, though. Cheers. Ian. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.152.178.7 ( talk) 19:22, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

We are part of a miniscule Chitrapur Saraswat community and are proud of the achievements of Sanmesh Kalyanpur. At a young age of 15, he had saved his 8 year old sister from drowning in open manhole during the July floods which drowned Mumbai in India. The Government of India recognised him with National Bravery Award and he was selected for the prestigious Sanjay Chopra Award. He was also awarded the President of India's Jeevan Raksha medal which is awarded for exemplarary bravery. Maharashtra State selected him for Maharashtra Gaurav Puraskar. All these achievements ot a young age justifies mention in Wikipedia.
All the awards mentioned form part of Government of India's gazzette notification and there are many articles in newspaper which were provided on the site. I was disappointed when I was told that the page has been deleted since tthe achievement doesnot merit inclusion.
Request you sincerely to reinclude the article

Hi, I was briefly looking through the page history of Christian, to see how many edits there had been and I spot a vandal editor called CamponhoyletheII. I went to his userpage and it said 'hi im a sockpupeteer.and all suspected sockpuupets are my work and i will now take over wikipedia with my super virus.prepare to die admins.' So I decided to see if there was a 'Camponhoyle the I' which there was who was also a vandal and sockpuppeteer who had several confirmed sockpuppets and suspected Sockpuppets which he confirmed are his above. I believe that this Camponhoyle has returned, and under his recent blocks and investigations and whatever, two main names appeared, MangoJuice and yourself. When I went to Mangojuice it appeared that he had semi-retired so I decided to come to you. I hope you can deal with this matter, I don't personally want to get involved in it all. If you want to speak to me more, see my talk page. Thanks Quiggers1P ( talk) 21:40, 7 January 2010 (UTC) Update: I have suspicions that the accounts Paulfritzl Smell wellyssssss Frankreichman and Camponarmstrong are all sockpuppets as well. Smelly wellyssssss said on fritzl case, he has a son called paul from camponhoyle, Paulfritzl said something similar, Frankreichman is the same person as Camponarmstrong and paulfritzl (see his unban appeal on his talk page) and the campon bit in camponarmstrong gives that away. Thanks Quiggers1P ( talk) 21:54, 7 January 2010 (UTC) Another update: I searched accounts with Campon in them, the ones that sprung out at me were Camponmangojuice, Camponjohncd and then Camponmasterdrive and Camponmasterdriver. All the accounts were created within the space of just over one day, there is pretty much enough evidence that they are linked. I feel for you, when they were originally vandalising, it must of been tough! Thanks Quiggers1P ( talk) 22:04, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
Right okay fair enough you have a good right to be suspicious. I was ONCE one of those vandals but I turned my back on them and disappeared working hard to become an admin on another wiki. I eventually returned to wikipedia for a clean slate and to contribute sensibly (have a look at my contributions minus CSL Sofas). Trust me that company is notable, but I will take your advice and give it up. Do have a look at all those accounts and ban them because knowing my friends, they'll keep coming back and back. My vandal career ended a while back, but there's hasn't. If you need help on whether you need to ban new accounts or not see my talk page. Trust me now please, because I am contributing sensibly. Thankyou for reading Quiggers1P ( talk) 22:22, 7 January 2010 (UTC) Is there a place I can report the accounts to, because I will report them and save you the job of reporting them, or are you going to report them yourself? Thanks Quiggers1P ( talk) 09:41, 8 January 2010 (UTC) Could you also delete User:Quiggers1P/CSL Sofas, as I am taking your advice and abandoning plans to create that page. Thanks Quiggers1P ( talk) 10:19, 8 January 2010 (UTC) Update:Another account, Owencoyleisatraitor has been revealed to my by Camponhoyle himself, and got it banned soon after vandalising the Bolton Wanderers F.C. page, if you check the IP address of CamponhoyletheII, you should be able to find the connection. Thanks Quiggers1P ( talk) 11:32, 8 January 2010 (UTC) Are you ready to make a case against all of these new sockpuppets? Thanks Quiggers1P ( talk) 18:46, 8 January 2010 (UTC) I've seen that you have blocked almost all of the sockpuppets, and tagged them as 'suspected' sockpuppets? Does there have to be a case to make them confirmed or do they just have to prove it themselves? I can tell you now however that they are all sockpuppets of Camponhoyle, definitely. Thanks Quiggers1P ( talk) 19:49, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
Is it possible to just delete the edits linked with Camponhoyle? I mean I have spent a lot of time on some pages (Particularly List of Bolton Wanderers F.C. Transfers) and I do not wish for the credit to be lost on them. Is this possible? Thanks Quiggers1P ( talk) 20:46, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
Maybe I could set up a dummy account each time to inform you of new action and then you can ban it immediately after, or would this not be a good idea? Quiggers1P ( talk) 20:55, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

Hi John,
In the discussion you quoted, I stated that both Pieing and Piebald were valid targets for Pied and there were no objections.

For reasons that should be fairly obvious, the readers at GiantBomb.com have come after our Wikipedia page. Despite personally clearing the air with Geff Gerstman, his readers have caused you to delete our page. Admittedly, our page needed to be updated (we have accolades beyond being listed on several prominent sites), but using things like Alexa ratings and a misstep by one of my editors isn't much of a case for deletion. I'd like the page restored - is this something you can do, or can you direct me to the appropriate person please?
