Hello, I am one of the editors at WikiProject Alabama. We wanted to explain why your creation of a dab page at WPAL was reverted. WPAL has been a link to our project page for quite sometime. The sudden change caught our editors by surprise. I think the link to the radio station WPAL-FM from WPAL should be reconsidered for the following reasons:
Perhaps a better solution, which I will go ahead and add, is a link at our project directing people to the station. Would that be acceptable to you?
Thanks, - JodyB talk 13:16, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
There is a bug in the RadioTranslators template -- there is nothing that differentiates AM stations from FM stations, as all stations link to the FCC's FM database. In the Moody Broadcasting Network article, there's a list using this template, but the network has several affiliates on the AM band. Could the template be adjusted so that the station could link to the correct database? Thanks again. -- azumanga ( talk) 03:15, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

Nothing bad yet, but after his unblock, User:Neutralhomer has resumed his stalking of my contribs, as shown here on a page he's never edited before. I don't want to "tattle", but this is how everything has started the last few times.
You don't want to "tattle", but yet you did. Hi. I just want to say that it wasn't me who added all the content; I found it randomly on recent changes. I've re-added all of the earlier history part, as it's also relevant, and the early parts about the other station on the frequency give background about the frequency swap. Other parts are completely WGER and seem to have been deleted anyways, which I also re-added. - Oreo Priest 00:25, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

I believe you are improperly citing WP:CSD G6 throughout the discussions found at WP:TfD. G6 is used for housekeeping tasks, such as deleting a clear speedy that is currently preventing a move, etc. I am yet to see a template on WP:TfD within the last few weeks that could even remotely be deleted per CSD G6. JPG-GR ( talk) 01:35, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
CSD G6 - Housekeeping. Non-controversial maintenance, such as temporarily deleting a page to merge page histories, performing uncontroversial page moves, or cleaning up redirects.
So what about WITR vs Witr is worthy of a disambiguation page that is lacking from WONG vs Wong? Just curious. - Dravecky ( talk) 09:02, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi, and thanks for your help. It's a bit confusing but basically the 2 stations swapped frequencies. This was supposed to happen all at once but they decided to take 2 weeks to do it and placed the WSJM-FM call letters on 98.3 temporarily. I'm trying to keep the history with the frequency because that would be consistent with other call changes/frequency swaps. I moved WSJM-FM back to WCSY-FM to try and do the call sign moves myself but it still wouldn't let me so I put the tags on. Sorry it's so confusing, I knew it would be. Thanks again. The reason I keep making sure the -LP stations is that I take broadcasting seriously. Several years ago the National Association of Broadcasters fought hard for L.P.F.M.s to not become reality; meanwhile some of their members kept buying stations & putting out shoddy product. When L.P.F.M. was allowed, I was ecstatic because it meant that smaller broadcasters could finally get back in to the game. Now granted a lot of these stations have fallen into the hands of users not really imagined by the grassroots (a lot of churches to serve as just repeaters for national feeds) & to be honest, those stations I don't really care about, personally. But there are the broadcasters that do try to serve their communities & seemingly the 2 L.P.F.M.s in R.I. are such stations. Conversely, having worked as an engineer @ WRJI, I'd say that station is pretty irrelevant & yet it still is in the list just because it has a full-power license (not that I want it wiped from the list- the list by title is "List of radio stations in Rhode Island." Therefore it has to be inclusive (actually it should technically read "List of licensed broadcast radio stations in Rhode Island" to keep stations like "WXIN", the unlicensed Rhode Island College station which seems to run higher power than it should, off the list). What I am confused on is why you think -LPs should be stricken as if they don't exist. The list should be accurate, which is what I'm fighting for. Whether or not the stations individually are notable should be whether or not their own pages are worthy. I have seen WBLQ-LP listed in the Providence Journal Sunday edition in the T.V. section (they publish a list of stations). I don't know if that would make WBLQ-LP worthy of keeping on the list for you. If you don't mind me asking: do you dislike -LPs or is it because of what has been discussed on WPRS? In either case, what about stations that are full-power (A.M.: all licensed classes, F.M.: classes A-C & possibly old Ds) but carry no real notability, such as WDIS-Norfolk, Ma. & WRJI-East Greenwich, R.I., for example.
The other problem I see it with issues of notability is that stations that are not notable today may become notable tomorrow. WDIS may stop regurgitating satellite feeds & become a damn good local broadcaster. For a list, at least the R.I. list because of the title at the very least, the L.P.s should stay. Honestly, the other states should follow suit (wouldn't be the 1st time the rest of the country has followed Rhode Island, we burned the tax collector ship H.M.S. Gaspee 6/9-10/1772 & were 1st to renounce the throne on 5/4/1776) because of what they are- lists of stations. The issue of notability should then be determined by if the stations have their own pages.
I'm sure you've fallen asleep reading this. I will look @ WPRS. 73. Stereorock ( talk) 01:02, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

I'd appreciate having my revisions remain in the article page. I believe they form a more complete history of WNMC. The omission of station members names is intended to allow the focus to remain on the station rather than select volunteers. The administrators' actions referred to are important because they show the dynamic tension between student's free speech and the administrators' desire to control events and limit criticicism of their actions and policies. I believe the info is relevant. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Politicaldiscrimination ( talk • contribs) 09:22, February 15, 2008
And what sources may I find to verify the article version that you have created and reinstated? Again, I'm new here and may be missing something, is there a link to any of the previous articles that display primary or secondary sources? I strongly object to your complete removal of the article, certainly some info is not contested, nor is it any less verified than much of your preferred version/contribution. Okay, I don't mean to be rude, but if you actually listen to 96-3 you will hear J.P Wagner or Pat Tullio during the weekends and you keep deleting there names because it is not on the website! You don't have to go by the internet all the time, just listen to your radio (or online) The website is not always correct. Anyway all I am trying to say is stop deleting people that are actually there, so what if it is not sourced online, they are there. While it might be argued whether moving Bío-Bío Region, Coyhaique, Huerta de Maule, Til-Til, Aysen and Aysén Region is controversial (even though official documents do not use these names), it is unarguably uncontroversial to move Hornitos Beach, as the article is not about the beach, but about the town, which is unarguably called Hornitos not Hornitos Beach. ☆ CieloEstrellado 20:46, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, this is a bit more than I'm able to do. I haven't found out how to "tag the article" (I usually copy the functional stuff from other areas of the page where they worked, my keyboard settings don't seem to produce the same results even if the same characters get displayed) I looked under Wikihelp but the instructions on splitting unfortunately were way over my head. My sincerest apologies for troubling you again, but if you could plse. either tag or split the article, so that the human stuff could go on a separate page I'd be most grateful. (I'm pretty sure I could copy out the relevant sections once the new page exists and I have some material to get the new page off to a good start.) A million thanks for your time. Hello - thank you for closing the move proposal, but the section now reads "The result of the proposal was" followed by "POV issue: Title must be changed" - which looks like the result was agreement with the proposal to change the title, but in fact the result was to oppose it. I think you just forgot to finish the sentence "The result of the proposal was ___" - I'd fix it myself, but since it's in a closed section it's probably better for the closer to do it. Thanks. Dear JPG-GR, thank you for taking part in
my RfB. As you may know, it was
not passed by bureaucrats.
I would, however, like to thank you for taking the time to voice your support, despite concerns cited by the opposition. Although RfA/B isn't really about a person, but more about the community, I was deeply touched and honoured by the outpouring of support and interest in the discussion. I can only hope that you don't feel your opinion was not considered enough - bureaucrats have to give everyone's thoughts weight.
I also hope that the results of this RfB lead to some change in the way we approach RfBs, and some thought about whether long-entrenched standards are a good thing in our growing and increasingly heterogenous community.
I was a little miserable after the results came out, so I'm going to spread the love via dancing hippos. As you do. :)
I remain eager to serve you as an administrator and as an editor. If at any point you see something problematic in my actions, please do not hesitate to
call me out. ~

I have done so at List of radio stations in Stockton. This is important to ensure that future editors of the article realize that it must be retained for GFDL compliance and, if it is turned into a redirect, should be placed into Category:Redirects from merges. Thanks. :) -- Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:59, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
I actually like your idea of adding a disclaimer to Template:RMtalk. I was just wondering why it didn't show up after the substitution process. — AjaxSmack 02:13, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
I acknowledge, I note, and now I will take your advice that I could/should be bold and merge tagged/nominated/notified pages into GIS applications rather than ask WP:RM to move them.

Just to let you know that 86.17.120.214 continues to vandalise pages (normally by removing the word "children" on pages related to children's programmes). Might be worth assessing if s/he should get a temporary block! Rapido ( talk) 00:09, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
Category moves aren't attended to on the page you sent me to (probably because pages in particular subject areas don't interest the editors who frequent articles in those subject areas), so I placed it at the actual page so that editors active in that subject area might notice it, and that perhaps an admin will eventually notice and move the page. If you had spent the 30 seconds it would have taken to actually move the category rather than laboriously remove my posting and write to me, three times, it would have been much more economical, and would have wasted less bandwidth. It's never too late to do that. Kindly let me know when you've moved the category, thanks. Badagnani ( talk) 19:51, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
Category moves are not attended to on that page. I'm watching one now being studiously ignored. Removing the "move" tag repeatedly was wasteful of bandwidth and if you wanted to add it at the page you sent me to, you could have done so in a manner much less wasteful of bandwidth. The Wiki functionality should be as streamlined as possible and placing a "move" tag is entirely appropriate if a user wishes for a page to be considered for moving. Badagnani ( talk) 20:03, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
I am amazed at how some editors seem to just want to find fault with what other editors do. Before I edited KDAV, it was a mess (so much so that it actually had a user signature on the main page dating from February 27th). Now, it looks better and I had planned on doing more with it. Having never edited the article, you were obviously content to let it look as it did. However, as soon as you saw a little activity on the page, you jumped into action to see how you could undo my edits. Perhaps that energy could be better used improving articles that no one seems to care about rather than butting heads with editors who are trying to improve articles that need help.
Citing the FCC as a reason to revert my move is a poor argument. Is there a Wikipedia policy or guideline on this? If not, your reasoning is no better or worse than mine as far as a naming convention is concerned. If we're going to look to the government, then actors, etc., would always need to be located at their legal names rather than their stagenames. → Wordbuilder ( talk) 21:22, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
I count Users SyG, Pawnkingthree, ChessCreator, and Callmederek (me) for the move, Krakatoa and Sjakkalle "not caring", and absolutely no opposition unless you go back to July last year. Can't see " no consensus", and would request that you look again. Callmederek ( talk) 21:42, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
I added a speedy delete history merge tag to WSAN to get the ball rolling on this history merge. The original article should have just been moved and updated when the call sign changed and there has been no objection since you originally tagged the articles. Seems cut and dry to me. RobDe68 ( talk) 21:50, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
Why did you move these pages? I had objected as had others. Consensus on a move had definitely not been reached. All we had was the rather forceful opinion of one IP user. Please reinstate the old name until true consensus can be reached. -- TimTay ( talk) 09:43, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
Can you update the discusion on the talk page to closed since the listing was removed from the request page as no consensus for a move? At the same time, closing the poll might also be advised. Thanks. Vegaswikian ( talk) 21:16, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi, just a note, that since the old Web chat page only contained a redirect to the Web chat site page, you could've just moved the page yourself. If there's nothing else in the history, a redirect won't block a move from the redirect target. I've moved it, just letting you know about that feature. - Bobet 23:55, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
I believe if a song's title is all caps, then the article about it should be in all caps too.

Hi, JPG-GR. While doing clean up work as part of the disambiguation project, I came across WCAU which had 100+ links pointed at it. As they were all intended for WCAU TV, it made sense that, instead of disambiguating them all, to turn WCAU into a redirect as the only station (tv or radio) using that call sign currently and let the hatnote on wcau tv point to WCAU (disambiguation) as a true dab page. A little bit latter I ran into WJBK which is the same situation (only one current station using callsign) and saw you in the edit history for both pages. So, I thought I should touch base with you before I changed any more as a part of disambiguation and find out the story behind this. I would appreciate you dropping me a line on my talk page. Thanks. Hi! Today I contributed to an RM in the incomplete section which many readers never check, and noticed most of the entries there seem to sit there and fester with their creators completely unaware.
In an attempt to help, I've created the following template to put on the user talk-page of the creator of an incomplete RM request to try and get them to format all the parts of the request properly:
{{subst:User:Knepflerle/RMinc|article name}}
As someone who deals with incomplete RM requests, I'd be grateful if you could comment on it/improve it/use it/MfD it as you see appropriate. If it's useful, feel free to move it into Template: space for the benefit of others.
Thanks for your time, Knepflerle ( talk) 16:26, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

To respond, like I said, if you knew what you were doing, I wouldn't haven't to keep an eye on you....and if you think someone "keeping an eye" on you is "stalking", then you are just paranoid. When I show up at your door then...and only then...can you call it stalking. Okie dokie. - NeutralHomer T: C 07:20, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
...that since your "Catch whomever tomorrow" post on ANI, you have remained online, not updating pages or creating new ones....but for the past 30 some odd minutes, you have been archiving your talk page. Odd for someone who says they are leaving, but almost looks like they are sitting and waiting for a post or something to comment on. Odd. - NeutralHomer T: C 07:27, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
Did you just remove something from your archive as vandalism and then archive it...again? Wait, what? - NeutralHomer T: C 07:33, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

I noticed, from my watchlist (which Metros' talk page is on) this....
Nothing bad yet, but after his unblock, User:Neutralhomer has resumed his stalking of my contribs, as shown here on a page he's never edited before. I don't want to "tattle", but this is how everything has started the last few times.
You don't want to "tattle", but yet you did. Dude, you want to run and "tell the teacher" what bad ol' Neutral Homer did, that's fine....but there is nothing that says I can't edit a page that you have edited and nothing that says you can't do the same. I created WZFM...you want to edit it...you can. You probably created WBCT, but I can edit it.
So...what exactly is the big deal? Furthermore, what is your big deal with me? Seriously. - NeutralHomer T: C 21:37, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

I notice you've removed several images from the Radio stations in Virginia category. I also notice they are gone in West Virginia's category. Did I miss a discussion in WP:WPRS?-- Rtphokie ( talk) 14:41, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

09:30, 7 February 2008 (UTC)Hi, we meet again. I uploaded a new image for WMGC because you could barely make out the original. When moving articles and creating DAB pages, it would be helpful if you updated the article name in the fair use information in the logos. BOTs are tagging these images for deletion and if they aren't caught within a week, they are being deleted.-- Rtphokie ( talk) 14:47, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

I apologize if this sounds rude, but your dab edits appear as if they are made by a BOT; very fast, very similar, and same edit summary. A person can go that fast, but I find it rather hard without an automated tool. Cheers! Λua∫ Wi se ( Operibus anteire) 20:23, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
Won't you please be more choosey in what you remove? I am a primary source since I was an officer from 1984-1991. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Politicaldiscrimination ( talk • contribs) 20:17, February 15, 2008
Hello JPG-GR: Is this the spot to enter a new talk? Sorry. I'm still getting a grip on the wiki rules and tools. I notice the "Not the truth but verifyable" rule. I appreciate your feedback.
I'm still hoping you could answer my last talk's questions about how the current article may be verified in all its details. Is this a question of user research, or is it accomplished with some background verification that can be posted? Politicaldiscrimination ( talk) 05:04, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
I have nominated WBCH-FM, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/WBCH-FM. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Hi. I would like to know where exactly would be the place to go to do this? and maybe you can give me tips on how to prepare and undergo the proposals because obviously I have no clue about it. Thanks. − ₪ÇɨгcaғucɨҲ₪ kaiden 07:17, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. Hello, I notice you removed a move request for this misnamed image. Do you have any suggestions about how the image could be moved to its correct location? Thanks.
Verisimilus T 08:59, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
The proposal was: " I'm proposing that both this badly misnamed article and Rubric (ecclesiastical) should be merged to Rubric - I have moved the disam contents out to Rubric (disambiguation)." - ie merged to a new title, ie moved. Plus Anthony Appleyard has meged to the wrong version of the disam page, listing redirect etc. I have reverted your "closings" as so far we have only gone backwards. Johnbod ( talk) 17:44, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
Why was the request removed from here and a comment made there was no consensus when there is only positive support for the move ChessCreator ( talk) 18:39, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
Hi. I see you created this disambiguation page yesterday. It currently contains only two redlinks. Are you planning on creating these articles (if, of course, they are notable for Wikipedia) shortly? If not, I plan to nominate that disambiguation page for deletion, as it seems pointless to have a disambiguation page when there are no targets to link to. - Lilac Soul ( talk • contribs • count) • I'm watching this page so just reply to me right here! 09:06, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
You are aware, I hope, that by allowing the weekend/fill-in DJs to remain on the WDVD article that you're setting a dangerous precedent, right? None of those DJs should be included, unless their individual notability can be shown, in my opinion.-- InDeBiz1 ( talk) 04:53, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
hi,
If move requests need to be copied somewhere, go ahead and do it, but don't delete the request. Or should I simply move articles without discussion? kwami ( talk) 01:56, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for merging the templates. I wasn't sure whether you normally have to list each one individually or if merging them was okay. Strongsauce ( talk) 00:24, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
Hello again, I'm having some template trouble on the category page Category:Sludge metal groups. Could you fix it to direct it to a discussion from February 23? (1st one on the bottom). Thanks. Also sorry for replying there, I'm new with this whole archived thing, don't know if I need to re-add that here to continue it then. − ₪ÇɨгcaғucɨҲ₪ kaiden 00:22, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
While I acknowledge that the database shows it's still operating under a construction permit, I only added WVRV after multiple trustworthy reports on RadioInfo that the station is actually on the air and broadcasting at full power, albeit with a temporary format. - Dravecky ( talk) 01:29, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
Just wondering why you reverted the move. Surely without the brackets is the correct way? I've personally not encountered this before. Paul20070 ( talk) 19:01, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi. :) With respect to your merger of information at List of radio stations in California, please remember to note the merger not only in the edit summary at the destination article, but also in the source article.

If a song's title is all lower case, then the song's article should be in all lower case too.—Preceding

{{subst:User:Knepflerle/RMinc|article name}}
