Hi there! I saw your recent change of the abbreviations in the 2020 Big 12 Conference football season article. I wanted to let you know that those abbreviations are used because they are less ambiguous than the more commonly used abbreviations. While in this case, context makes it clear what the team in question is, it's important to consider that it may not be as clear to someone less familiar with the subject matter. OSU, for example, could refer to Oklahoma State University, Ohio State University, or Oregon State University. Similar ambiguities arise with most of the other common abbreviations used for Big 12 teams. TCU is an exception, as it is the common name for the university and is unambiguous in most cases. The file File:TTURawls.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
When the image was uploaded in 2011, it was not replaceable, as the building was not yet finished. However, the building has been open for around ten years now and I stopped by this Summer and took a picture of it, so now it has been replaced.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other
deletion processes exist. In particular, the
speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and
files for discussion allows discussion to reach
consensus for deletion. ★
