We now have 809 New Page Reviewers!
Most of us requested the user right at
PERM, expressing a wish to be able to do something about the huge backlog, but the chart on the right does not demonstrate any changes to the pre-user-right levels of October.
The backlog is still steadily growing at a rate of 150 a day or 4,650 a month. Only 20 reviews a day by each reviewer over the next few days would bring the backlog down to a managable level and the daily input can then be processed by each reviewer doing only 2 or 3 reviews a day - that's about 5 minutes work!
It didn't work in time to relax for the Xmas/New Year holidays. Let's see if we can achieve our goal before Easter, otherwise by Thanksgiving it will be closer to 70,000.
Remember that we are the only guardians of quality of new articles, we alone have to ensure that pages are being correctly tagged by non-Reviewer patrollers and that new authors are not being bitten.
This is even more important and extra vigilance is required considering Orangemoody, and
Kudpung is stepping down after 6 years as unofficial coordinator of New Page Patrolling/Reviewing. There is enough work for two people and two coords are now required. Details are at NPR Coordinators; nominate someone or nominate yourself. Date for the actual suffrage will be published later.

First off, according to not only Google, but also his son Bruce (also an editor on Wikipedia), Lohmann died in 1995.

The only thing I want to know is if that type of information is allowed on Wikipedia.

Hi, articles about groups of organisms that contain little or no useful information (e.g. description, taxonomy, distribution, habitat, behaviour, etc.) but have a long list of subgroups are still stubs, as per
WP:STUB: Similarly, stub status usually depends on the length of prose text alone – lists, templates, images, and other such peripheral parts of an article are usually not considered when judging whether an article is a stub.

Hi I dream of Horses, when you find a citation from WoRMS that is a bare URL, you can get a full citation with very little more effort than tagging by opening the link to WoRMS, going to the bottom of the page and copy pasting the complete citation which they kindly and conveniently provide there for this purpose, access date and all. In this way you can do the actual fixing of the problem in only a little more time than it takes to draw attention to it. Far less effort than it took me to leave you this message, but as you seem to do a lot more of this sort of gnomery than I, I thought it may be profitable to the encyclopedia in the long run if you knew how to do the complete fix.

COngrats for your contribution about 1958. I just concentrate in the period 1964-1970 because then the Solid SOuth started changing and elections had more background and analysis. But you did somethiing very innovative!!!I don't think many election articles exist for the South elections prior to 1964!! Keep on and hope we collaborate.-- Soccererer ( talk) 05:10, 27 February 2017 (UTC)
