Your article for 59th Street–Columbus Circle station appears to be listed at GAN since July. Thank you today for Low Memorial Library, "about the original library building constructed on Columbia University's Morningside Heights campus from 1895 to 1897. Great care was taken in designing this building, which was literally the centerpiece of the campus. Named after the father of Columbia president Seth Low (and ironically the highest point of the original campus), the structure is shaped like a Greek cross, with a limestone-and-granite facade and an ornate domed rotunda. The Low Memorial Library had space for 500,000 volumes but was inadequate as a library. It was converted into offices in 1934 but remains a prominent fixture on the Columbia campus."! - I thought of you when strolling in New York, - click on songs to see pics. -- Gerda Arendt ( talk) 07:49, 10 December 2022 (UTC)

I often spend way too much time on reviewing a GAN, since I tend to nitpick at the prose and coverage. As a result, it often takes me a few weeks to review a GAN.That still applies today, sadly - if I opened 20 GA reviews today, at this rate, the last review wouldn't be complete until 2024. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year, Epicgenius!
The other day, I was having a conversation with someone about holiday cards and social media. It occurred to me that, in the years since I left Facebook, the site I use most to communicate with people I like isn't actually a social media site at all. If you're receiving this, it's pretty likely I've talked with you more recently than I have my distant relatives and college friends on FB, at very least, and we may have even collaborated on something useful. Epicgenius, it looks like QatarStarsLeague opened their review on September 3, and then stopped editing Wikipedia on September 7; at least, they haven't been back.
My suggestion would be to remove them as reviewer by deleting the review page and putting your nomination back in the queue of noms waiting for reviewers with no loss of seniority. The other alternative is to post for a second opinion in hopes of finding a new reviewer that way, though there's no first opinion. All that's there is two separate queries/pings to QatarStarsLeague, which weren't answered because they aren't around.
Please let me know how you'd like to proceed. Thanks, and I'm sorry you've had such a long wait. BlueMoonset ( talk) 05:03, 22 December 2022 (UTC)

Hi, Epicgenius! I've been extremely grateful for the "thanks" you've given me on the work I've done on a number of NY related pages here. I'm having a problem on another page I edited, and I'd be grateful if you could add your opinion on the Talk page for the topic, if you feel that's appropriate. It's a hotel in Austria, located in a historic castle, the Schloss Fuschl. I greatly expanded the existing article on September 12 and then even further on December 27, but another user objects to the tone of my changes and to my sourcing methods. The other user reverted all my changes each time. I would never dream of trying to sway you one way or the other. If you agree with the other user, I'll totally respect that, but if you agree with me, I'd like to know that too. I hope this isn't too much of an imposition, I'm sure you're busy, but you did a wonderful job of expanding the page I created for the St. Regis New York, so I know you take Wikipedia seriously. I hope it isn't breaking any rules to ask you to add your opinion, if it is, please disregard this, it's just that the hotel is somewhat obscure, and I worry that not many other users may comment on the Talk page there. My most recent edit can be found on the History page for the listing, and the disagreement between me and the other user is summarized in the Talk page there. Thanks! Hello and happy new year! I hope you have had a wonderful December. Have you seen this [ new edit] at the Guggeneheim museum? The building has been the staging ground for [[Nan Goldin|numerous protests]]
. Third, even if there were multiple protests, the description of such protests would be out of place in a section about commentary of the museum itself. –

Thanks! I hope it isn't breaking any rules to ask you to add your opinion. I think your message falls within WP:APPNOTE (
An editor who may wish to draw a wider range of informed, but uninvolved, editors to a discussion can place a message at any of the following: ... On the user talk pages of concerned editors. Examples include: Editors who have participated in previous discussions on the same topic (or closely related topics)). From what I'm reading on the talk page so far, though, the dispute seems to stem from describing the building as a luxury hotel, rather than as a castle. However, since I don't have much free time at the moment, I will have to look into this in more depth later. – Epicgenius ( talk) 17:02, 28 December 2022 (UTC)
Hello and happy new year! I hope you have had a wonderful December. Have you seen this [ new edit] at the Guggeneheim museum? Aside from the referencing errors, surprising wikilinks and unsupported description of "numerous" protests, do you think this is noteworthy and balanced, or is it fringe information that does not add helpfully to the article? -- Ssilvers ( talk) 17:20, 28 December 2022 (UTC)
The building has been the staging ground for [[Nan Goldin|numerous protests]]
. Third, even if there were multiple protests, the description of such protests would be out of place in a section about commentary of the museum itself. –
