Edwardx, while it's great that you are continuing to write articles and submitting them to DYK, you currently have three older nominations that are still waiting for QPQ reviews, from April 11, 19, and 26. It feels like I have to regularly remind you of missing QPQs, and that's not something either of us wants, really. QPQ is a necessary part of of DYK, and I'd appreciate it if you would take responsibility for promptly doing your own. I realize that not everyone has time to do the QPQ prior to nominating, but it shouldn't take more than seven days to supply a missing QPQ.
There have been complaints at the DYK talk page about nominations stretching out for a long time, and this is one reason for it. DYK used to be stricter about how long was allowed for lack of response before nominations were closed as unsuccessful, and I think you'll see fewer tacit extensions given in future. Thanks for taking care of these QPQs. BlueMoonset ( talk) 23:41, 15 May 2020 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Category:Kazakhstani mining businesspeople requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read! Talk! 14:36, 27 May 2020 (UTC)

Using ORES, it divides articles into topics such as Literature or Chemistry and on Geography. Take a look and see if you can find time to patrol a couple pages a day. With over 10,000 pages in the queue, the highest it's been since ACPERM, your help could really make a difference.

Hi, my name is Lauren with Hertz. I noticed the birth date listed on Paul Stone's page /info/en/?search=Paul_Stone– “(born 1968/1969)” – does not match the verifiable source provided on the page, The Street: “Stone, 50, has replaced Kathryn V. Marinello.” Currently, the page suggests he is 51/52 and the source confirms he is 50 as of May 19, 2020. Due to my COI, can you please help me make this change? Thank you so much! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 158.146.164.1 ( talk) 17:43, 9 June 2020 (UTC)

Oh, hey Ed! I'm Ed. I noticed you have been using Twinkle and was wondering if you'd like to beta my new tool called RedWarn, specifically designed to improve your editing experience.
RedWarn is currently in use by over 80 other Wikipedians, and feedback so far has been extremely positive. In fact, in a recent survey of RedWarn users, 90% of users said they would recommend RedWarn to another editor. If you're interested, please see the RedWarn tool page for more information on RedWarn's features and instructions on how to install it. Otherwise, feel free to remove this message from your talk page. If you have any further questions, please ping me or leave a message on my talk page. Your feedback is much appreciated! Hello Edwardx,
NPP Sorting can be a great way to find pages needing new page patrolling that match your strengths and interests. Using ORES, it divides articles into topics such as Literature or Chemistry and on Geography. Take a look and see if you can find time to patrol a couple pages a day. With over 10,000 pages in the queue, the highest it's been since ACPERM, your help could really make a difference.
In late February, Google added 5 new languages to Google Translate: Kinyarwanda, Odia (Oriya), Tatar, Turkmen and Uyghur. This expands our ability to find and evaluate sources in those languages.
Six Month Queue Data: Today – 10271 Low – 4991 High – 10271
