On 27 May 2016, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Poll (band), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that in 1971, "Anthrope Agapa" (Humankind Love Each Other), an album by Greek pop group Poll, sold 200,000 copies, a record unsurpassed by any Greek band since then? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Poll (band). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page ( here's how, Poll (band)), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Dear sir Thank you for acknowledging the content that I added to the page atif aslam. But it is to understand that the content I added was taken from a very powerful and precise source. It is certain that I used a source that is recognised and unterstood. Any how. It is my mistake. I shall add a source when I edit a page in the future. Regards, Hazardbrian3372 Hazardbrian3372 ( talk) 04:19, 15 August 2016 (UTC)
I agree that generally a ban is a ban, and socks edits should be reverted; however, with a roaming IP there is little that can done other that protect the page for a few days or revert edits. At least attempting to assume good faith (they may, after all, not be Annales but someone with a very similar tone, temperament, edit pattern, and rhetoric) and open up a dialogue to see if any improvements can be made. For example, they made a comment about Jowlett and the wording attributed to that source: that seems like something checking out for accuracy sake. EnigmaMcmxc ( talk) 19:41, 17 August 2016 (UTC)
You in the past advised that user about reverts without discussion. How do you feel about him trolling another editor (with whom he has a history) and reverting (and then again) just to aggravate him? The edits may be subject to discussion--which I am willing to do. Hi Dr K.
I remember you from some rather fierce debates we had in the past around Greece articles - fierce but never nasty which is rather rare on Wikipedia. This time we appear to be on the same page on the Turkish coup article. Let's agree to maintain the fierceness and the fairness if we meet again (either on the same side, or on opposing sides of an argument). After all, Wikipedia has far too few people who can argue at the PhD level. Let's go with the odd tradition of Wikipedia and put, what according to me, is a fitting barnstar to this

What is the story with the RooshV sockpuppet? I ran across the issue on one of the many random places where the sock posted his complaints, and took a quick look to see if there actually was and improper commercial promotion going on (I didn't see any). The actual page just looks like another page about a somewhat-notable person selling material on a subject that I have no interest in, covered the way Wikipedia usually covers such things. Any idea why this one attracted an enemy? I am suspecting a commercial competitor, but then again it might just be the usual feminism vs. antifeminism battle. -- Guy Macon ( talk) 14:51, 9 September 2016 (UTC)

Hi Dr.K.! I just want to ask for your help in the article "Ancient Olympic Games" due to persistent vandalism by the user SJGS who keep changing one specific passage of the article and he is not even willing to make an edit summary explaining why he does that. I had also requested protection of the page (which was vandalized by ip users also) and the page became (and still is) semi-protected. I don't know if he does that on a good faith but his edits seem inaccurate. What do you think? NickTheRipper ( talk) 15:50, 30 August 2016 (UTC)

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. -- Ser Amantio di Nicolao Che dicono a Signa? Lo dicono a Signa. 05:52, 6 November 2016 (UTC)

Dr. K., I was just going to pop on here and thank you for your patience (and research, edits) when, scrolling down, your Barnstar above caught my eye, regarding your work on the July 15, 2016 attempted Turkish Coup article.... Wow...my wife and I had an unplanned 36 hours in Istanbul's airport July 15-16 this year, with gunfire, fighter jets (breaking the sound barrier) repeatedly buzzing the airport (roof tiles, windows breaking), and several stampedes of ~1000 people inside...not to mention the tanks, etc. outside. Scary, but met some nice, nice people. Looks like from those great pictures on your page (we kayak a lot) that you get over to that neck of the woods on occasion (we've been to Corfu too, but on a low, low budget!!) Best wishes. Good evening, @ User:Dr.K: I am adding this note here since you were involved with the blocking of User:Igaalbania and I don't know where exactly I should be reporting this situation.
i.e. User:Igaalbania got this note: /info/en/?search=User_talk:Igaalbania#Sockpuppet_investigation
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 year--Ymblanter (talk) 20:07, 19 November 2016 (UTC) for abuse of editing privileges. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: User talk:Iaof2017 From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Well, I wonder if there is now a new sock puppet, User:Iaof2017 (Wikipedia does not have a user page with this exact title. In general, this page should be created and edited by User:Iaof2017.) He does however have a Talk page. /info/en/?search=User_talk:Iaof2017 which includes this note:
Multi-user icon An editor has expressed a concern that this account may be a sock puppet of Igaalbania (talk · contribs · logs).
I mention this because I did some edits on the Albania article, including some comments from the European Union that the country will not be admitted until it cleans up its problems. That was quickly reverted by User:Iaof2017 ... who also happens to be the user that has done most of the edit on Abania since December 2016.
Aside from that, there are real problems with neutrality WP:NPOV in the Albania article as I pointed out in friendly note on the Talk page of that article. It almost sounds like much of the content was written by someone working for the Albanian government.
