... that adds coaching info and then just convert all basketball-only (from a coaching standpoint) coaches - assuming a consensus can be reached of course. There is too much inertia on college coach from the standards set by the CFB project to think about changing it IMO and frankly doing this would bring better consistency across basketball articles. The only real issue that some have had is that basketball biography doesn’t include things like coaching record, which could be added. Just a thought. Rikster2 ( talk) 13:29, 28 September 2018 (UTC)

Hello, Bagumba. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. Do you happen to know which template would be used to cite an event program? Ive been adding rosters to Final Four teams using Final Four programs, but am unsure what template to use. Many of the magazine or book parameters don’t apply, but these are certainly reliable sources. Thanks for your help. Rikster2 ( talk) 15:15, 20 January 2019 (UTC)
Hi Bagumba. There is a constant edit war at this article and I was wondering if you could lock it into an indefinite protection? It's been locked and unlocked numerous times. The official score according to the NCAA is 258–141. A bunch of "truthers" out there think that some website's blog writer, who happened to watch a replay of the whole game and thinks it should be 253–141, keep changing it. Not only does that constitute WP:OR, but it goes against WP:V and WP:RS. Permanently locking the article from IP and newly-registered users' ability to edit seems to be the reasonable solution (to me, anyway), because once it unlocks, the edit-warring will begin again. 198.199.134.100 ( talk) 18:22, 22 January 2019 (UTC)

Hey, I know this is just a talk going around purely on speculation alone, but considering that there's plenty of talks revolving around Anthony Davis and the potential link involving the Los Angeles Lakers offering both Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma (with talks from Ball's camp stating his interest is more in a team like the Phoenix Suns (a.k.a., a team with a lack of quality point guards right now) than the New Orleans Pelicans being in mind should a trade be confirmed), it does bring up an interesting question at hand that I think should be best left to you. Basically, in the event any trades revolving around a Rising Star or two come up during the trade deadline, should there be a note signifying a trade went down before the game began, but was previously on the team during the roster announcements? You know, something similar to the injured list of players from recent years there. I'm not 100% sure if such an occurrence ever happened beforehand during the very existence of the Rising Stars Challenge back in the 1990's (if there was, I clearly missed it somewhere), but it should be something that needs to be answered in the event something revolving around a rookie or sophomore player in the NBA gets caught up in a trade before the Rising Stars game begins for future reference. (I hope I wasn't rambling a whole lot on this one.) – AGreatPhoenixSunsFan ( talk) 01:33, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
Hi Bagumba, can you also protect the Mike Scott (basketball) page? He is also involved in the multi-player Tobias Harris trade that was "reported" yesterday. Natg 19 ( talk) 17:46, 6 February 2019 (UTC)
Is there a justification for this other than personal opinion? Also, it's not original research. Several sources, including official and independent and from large trusted media state the lead scorers of those games. No original research at all. And even the argument it isn't an award (it is) is not a justification to remove it from the article itself. That was used for your argument about a separate article. Statistics are allowed on sports articles, one way or the other. And if you won't agree to it being called an "award", then it should be called a "statistic". Bluesangrel ( talk) 21:57, 6 February 2019 (UTC)
On 7 February 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Walt Torrence, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Walt Torrence (pictured) was an All-American college basketball player for UCLA before joining the US Army and winning a gold medal at the Pan American Games? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Walt Torrence. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page ( here's how, Walt Torrence), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000.
198.199.134.100 ( talk) 18:22, 22 January 2019 (UTC)
... might I suggest Dick Linthicum? Two-time UCLA All-American (1931 and 1932) as well as an all-conference performer? ;-) Rikster2 ( talk) 19:57, 30 January 2019 (UTC)
IP 82.14.210.218 is clearly IP 82.21.91.204, who is blocked. These are vandals on the Domantas Sabonis article. Sounds like block evasion. Rikster2 ( talk) 20:46, 31 January 2019 (UTC)

Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Trade just reported, both teams playing right now and usually don’t anno7nce during a game Rikster2 ( talk) 01:08, 7 February 2019 (UTC)
Harrison Barnes and Justin Jackson also need protecting. There may be other people involved, but I’m going to bed. Rikster2 ( talk) 04:04, 7 February 2019 (UTC)
You appear to have a delightful friend following you around! He appears to think you are stupid :P I feel sorry for your notification bell. DaHuzyBru ( talk) 16:03, 7 February 2019 (UTC)
Why did you delete my revision to the Personal Life section of Clyde Drexler's page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Robinohanlon ( talk • contribs) 15:56, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
Hello, can you please move Draft:Tre Jones to its own article. I am not allowed to do so, because the article was previously deleted for lack of notability, but administrators can. The subject is clearly notable now. Wisestork ( talk) 22:26, 7 February 2019 (UTC)
Can’t undo it, seems ridiculous. Talk page seems to have disappeared Rikster2 ( talk) 02:36, 14 February 2019 (UTC)
Hey. Could you perhaps consider warning this user for personal attacks and/or directing statements towards me i.e. here and here. They also made an odd edit to Daniel Kickert with a dubious change then "reverted" as if it wasn't them. Cheers. DaHuzyBru ( talk) 01:32, 17 February 2019 (UTC)
They are, yes. I usually read the OCR transcript but I did not know it was possible to apply for a subscription through Wikipedia – thanks for the advice, I'll consider it. Thank you for improving the article about Richardson, too! -- Triple 8~enwiki ( talk) 17:24, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
