The WikiProject welcomes two new members in the past three months:
The WikiProject is now halfway done, numerically, with the 1000 articles identified in December 2006. The first (oldest) 500 articles have been claimed, reviewed, and (when needed, which was almost all cases) improved. Moreover, given the passage of time, many of articles 501 through 1000 have been worked on by other editors (it's ten months since that list was generated). So reviewing the second half of the 1000 articles should be easier.
Section 6 (articles 501 through 600 on the list) has been organized differently than the previous five sections. First, blocks are (roughly) five articles each, rather than 10, making it easier for you to claim and finish a block. Second, perhaps more importantly, each block consists of similar pages; if you're interested in fixing disambiguation pages, there are blocks of those; if you're interested in articles (which is what the project originally started out being), there are blocks of those; and there is one block of lists and one of redirects (mostly redirects to articles). So, fewer surprises this time when you claim a block.
In addition, since the project now has 25 active members (though some are likely inactive), having more blocks will make it easier to spread the editing around.

Greetings from the
League of Copyeditors. Your name is listed on our
members page, but we are unsure how many of the people listed there are still active contributors to the League's activities. If you are still interested in participating in the work of the League, please follow the instructions at the
members page to add your name to the active members list. Once you have done that, you might want to familiarise yourself with the
new requests system, which has replaced the old
/proofreading subpage. As the old system is now deprecated, the main efforts of the League should be to clear the substantial
backlog which still exists there. The League's services are in as high demand as ever, as evinced by the increasing backlog on our requests pages, both old and new. While FA and GA reviewers regularly praise the League's contributions to reviewed articles, we remain perennially understaffed. Fulfilling requests to polish the prose of Wikipedia's highest-profile articles is a way that editors can make a very noticeable difference to the appearance of the encyclopedia. On behalf of the League, if you do consider yourself to have left, I hope you will consider rejoining; if you consider yourself inactive, I hope you will consider returning to respond to just one request per week, or as many as you can manage. Merry Christmas and happy editing, The League of Copyeditors. |

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Family Style, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's
criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "
What Wikipedia is not" and
Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{
dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on
its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Hi Arjun,
One user named AlexCovarrubias is typing untrue statements on the article Newly industrialized country. I corrected the information and put a note in the discussion section but he reverted them for no proper reason. He is a Mexican citizen and puts untrue information about Mexico in the article. I got the following facts from two very credible sources. The information is: 1) Mexico is classified as a developing country by the CIA World Factbook. Here is the source: https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/appendix/appendix-b.html 2) The planning commission of Government of India classifies only 27.5% (and NOT 77%) of the population as the people under the national poverty line.
AlexCovarrubias is classifying Mexico as a developed country (which is not the case). He is also talking ill of India by writing an untrue (false) statement which reads "it is the poorest newly industrialized country with 77% of the people living on less than $ 1 a day."
I do not want some body to edit these data and type something amiss (wrong) about any country in particular- India. Please protect the articles- Newly industrialized country, Developing country, Iyengar, and Vadakalai. I will keep you posted of other articles that are subject to mishandling, posting the wrong information, and/or vandalism of any kind. Please prevent this person from making edits on Wikipedia (WP). Please protect the contents of WP.
Awaiting your urgent attention and help in this regard. Thanks for your time. Svr014 ( talk) 17:39, 5 June 2009 (UTC) Chicago, Illinois, USA.

Censored by corp......makes perfect sense. Well I've read everyones comments so far and the only one who attacks me is the 100% atheist with a baby (shivers). Well I feel weakend because you cesored me so much. I don't even know what to say now. Its quite impossible to respond to all that hate in red. How in the hell would people follow it?? Unless I copied the entire blog and then wrote my responses in BLUE or something. Then knowing you and you megalomania you would do the same thing and respond to my Blue comments in YELLOW. Yellow for your skin color cause your a coward for censoring me. But anyways your freinds would be so confused and bored. It wouldn't be fair. But I do see that EVERYTHING you wrote can a have a rebuttal (and a funny one at that). Your a funny guy corpo. You do make me look foolish by taking apart a a perfectly good message and commenting on every word every second. Dear Arjun01,
I recently made a sizable contribution to wikipedia.org in the form of an article entitled "Swami Krishnananda." I wrote and formatted the entire article myself from scratch. The article is the first contribution that I have made to Wikipedia and I hope that I can make more contributions to Wikipedia in the future. However, I do not have the time to monitor the content of articles that I write, including image files, or to keep up correspondence with wikipedia voluteers who continually contact me regarding their content.
Here is the link to the above referenced article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krishnananda
Overall, I found the writing and formatting experience to be pleasant. I have not, however, found the image uploading process to be pleasant. Wikipedia volunteers continue to contact me, informing me of errors that I have made with regards to my image uploads, but they do not explain the errors that I have made, nor do they provide any useful advice or direction in correcting the errors. The website provides extensive (a little too extensive) information on image uploading. But I do not have the time to go through the entire gamut of Wikipedia image uploading protocol. I have certainly researched the basics of Wikipedia image uploading, but this does not seem to be good enough.
The only two image files that I have uploaded to Wikipedia are those listed below.
1.) File name: "Krishnananda 1975.jpg"
Photo URL: http://swami-krishnananda.org/before1983.html
2.) File name: Krishsiva.jpg
File URL: http://swami-krishnananda.org/young.html
Now, based on my research at Wikipedia Commons, I have provided the proper licensing tags for these photos. I have also included dates, sources and authors for these photos. Furthermore, I have written to the copyright holders of these photos and received, in CLEAR language, permission to use them in the Wikipedia article that I have written. I have accordingly forwarded this permission to this address: permissions-commons@wikimedia.org. Beyond this, I don't know what else should be required of me. I have contributed my time and energy to wikipedia.org and feel like I am now being imposed upon. Naturally, I would like the integrity of my article, including the photos which I have included in it, to be protected, but I do not feel like I should have to take time out of my schedule on a daily basis to do this. With a site like wikipedia.org, it seems that users should be able to make meaningful contributions while receiving the basic satisfaction of knowing that they have in fact made such contributions. And the contributions can only be meaningful if they satisfy both users and wikipedia.org. As a user I feel like I have done my part, but wikipedia.org doesn't seem to appreciate nor make any effort to actually HELP me preserve my image files; they have already been deleted once. I uploaded them for a second time, this time forwarding permission to Wikipedia. I hope this will suffice. If not, could someone please enlighten me as to how I can protect these photos? By help, I do not mean automated policy protocol emails, but actual layman's advice on how to keep my photos from being deleted. I have helped wikipedia.org and it would be nice if someone at Wikipedia was grateful enough to help me continue to help.
Lastly, the copyright holder of these photos is a nonprofit, noncommercial organization which distributes most of their literature and photos freely over the Internet. The above referenced photos were taken my monastic peoples in in the 1940s and 70s. I really do not see any cause for concern on Wikipedia's part with regards to copyright violation. It was all I could do to get a reply on such a trivial, commercial matter from the General Secretary of the Divine Life Society. The permission letter that I forwarded to Wikipedia clearly indicates that he has given me his permission and that, in general, they do not care much about their photographs being used by people.
If my last attempt to properly upload these images still proves to be insufficient, could Wikipedia administration possibly lend a helping hand and attempt to obtain licensing and permission information themselves? I sincerely hope that these two photos (at least the info box photo) can remain in the article that I have written. If not, I highly doubt that I will be contributing to wikipedia.org in the future.
Best regards,
Rick Unger

backlog which still exists there. |

Hi Arjun, there is a discussion that may interest you quite a bit. Talk:Hinduism#Conversion led to Talk:Hinduism#New_Conversion_Section_Proposal and Talk:Hinduism#Additional. I feel that the wikipedia page is something that is also a resource for non-Hindus wishing to convert, and that putting poorly sourced "Mainstream indian" opinions drives away good people wishing to spiritually better themselves. It would be great to hear your perspective (as a convert) in the discussion. Baka man 22:44, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi! I removed the Four Great Ancient Civilization section from this article because the section was merged from another article onto this article. I viewed the Cradle of civilization article's talk page, a discussion of "merge" has been previously conducted and of the users who responded, majority of them opposed to the merge. That is why I undid the merge of Four Great Ancient Civilizations article and removed its content from Cradle of civilization article.-- TheLeopard ( talk) 01:18, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

Hello, for anyone who comes across this somehow. I just want to say that I plan on getting back into editing sometime soon. Schoolwork has to come first tho, along with out of school things. My time is so strained but I will try to come back to editing regularly. Possibly some internal stuff, maybe even editing again. Maybe a little bit of both =].
peace,
sincerely, ~ Arjun' 20:38, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Family Style, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's
criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "
What Wikipedia is not" and
Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{
dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on
its talk page.

I've been completely censored. What the hell corp every one of my comments was valid. You should of let people judge for themselves what they thought of them. Anyone can do that to anyones letters. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.157.50.142 ( talk) 04:10, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
Best regards,
Rick Unger
