If you must know...

OK. I originally registered because, as a Trollope enthusiast, I was horrified by a plot summary of The Way We Live Now that appeared to be based on the TV version rather than the book. I still haven't got around to rewriting it, but one day...

I own a camera and live in central Nebraska, which apparently makes me unusual among Wikipedians. I've spent a lot of time photographing stuff in Nebraska to illustrate articles. In particular, I've focused on National Register of Historic Places sites and on courthouses. I am very slowly chipping away at the long list of Nebraska articles that need photos; among other things, I've illustrated several hundred articles on cities and villages in the state.

I am exceedingly picky about punctuation, grammar, sentence construction, and the like. I often find it hard not to be sarcastic when I'm correcting "free reign". I've also declared war on the adverbial use of "everyday". I cordially loathe "alright", but that seems to be a losing battle. I detest euphemisms (unless used ironically), and have spent far too much time hunting down incidences of "passed away" that I can change to "died", and replacing "home" with "house".

Enough. Wikipedia is full of articles about interesting stuff; why are you wasting your time with this?
