Comment: I am trying to balance neutrality with making the hook interesting. Saying that he was a spy for secret police may sound nicer, but could also be more pejorative. Further comments / alt hooks welcome.

Overall: In future, please list your article the day that you started/expanded it, rather than the date of nomination. Judging from the article and the source, it's not really accurate to say that he worked for the "secret police". Communist regimes had lots of different security agencies, and not of them were equally evil.
