It's inappropriate for Wikipedia to illustrate an article on Niger Innis with a photograph that labels him "Nigger Innis". While the uploader of the screenshot is apparently quite amused by the concept, it's only tangentially related to Niger Innis, and is schoolboy stuff of the caca-doo-doo variety. - Nunh-huh 07:16, 20 Mar 2005 (UTC)
The whole MSNBC section is a copy-and-paste of the Snopes article, BTW. KingTT 07:38, 20 Mar 2005 (UTC)
I've listed the image for ifd. I've also put the expand header on this article. Making the typo the major part of this man's life is insensitive at best. An "anon" reverted my removal of the image from the article. It's probably a good idea to discuss this before an edit war breaks out. Rick K 07:46, Mar 20, 2005 (UTC)
I agree. The article is poor, and would be vastly improved by more biographical information and better pictures of Mr Innis. However, that doens't mean the content that's there now doesn't belong, or the picture, which is a document of a fact. I object to the deletion of the image, especially since you didn't change the thrust of the article, you just got rid of the image. Demi T/ C 07:52, 2005 Mar 20 (UTC)
Unbelievable! This whole discussion is racist. The assumptions are backward and ignorant. I've read the article and it is horrible, but even if hadn't read the article one can tell that this article would be horrible, just from the racist, backward and ignorant comments displayed on this page. First of all, Wikipedia CLAIMS to have found a new belief in protecting the pages of living people. See Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons. However, the first phase of business is go through the edit history and find out who left these ignorant, racist comments and paste their IP addresses on this talk page.-- Getaway 12:59, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
