Concluding from different fan sites, I believe the most resonable German title should be Heldensagen vom Kosmosinsel, where:
Alternative readings of flourish title shown on the TV series, Herdensagen, Derdensagen, von, Kosmosinset, do not make much sense when I try to look them up in online German-English Dictionaries. Can someone who really know German help to clarify this?
From a German user: This is because all these terms were created by germanophile Japanese who have only rudimentary knowledge of the language. "Herdensagen" = "Heldensagen", considering the L/R problem of East Asians, because both are alveolar sounds. "Derdensagen" cannot be explained by me and makes no sense, it does not exist. "Kosmosinset" is a typo for sure, maybe someone mistook a printed "l" for a "t", but "Inset" is not a German word. Regards, 42317 P.S.: What is a userpage good for if there's no "contact"/"email me" button? I'm a wikinoob, so I don't know such stuff. Make noobs' lives easier!
I am changing the Alternative titles section to clean up the redundancies in German and Japanese. If you want to change it to something else, please explain why you think you have more accurate information. I am interested to know. Thank you. ^_^

First of all,I definitly agree with that rendering. The original VHS and Laserdisc releases spelled it Herdensagen rather than Heldensagen but I believe this is an obvious Japanese L/R issue. The more rescent DVD release says Heldensagen. Another I noticed is the article refers to the series as a TV show. It was not. The main series was an OVA (original video animation) released in 26 volumes (each normally containing 4 25 minute episodes, with volume 7 being only two,and volume 26 having a double length episode). The Gaiden series was released in basically the same way though offhand I don't know how many tapes/discs it was. I am pretty sure it was sold primarily as a mail order thing. My Conquest Is The Sea Of Stars and Overture To A New War I believe were both theatrical films, but I could be wrong, and Golden Wings was a TV movie. The first 'season' being volumes 1-7 were aired on Japanese TV after their initial VHS/LD release, but no other episodes were (probably because the violence content seems to rise from season 2 on). The entire main OVA series was however aired on TV in Taiwan I think (though it may have been Hong Kong), and the DVD release contains a Chinese dub (not sure offhand if it is Cantonese or Mandarin,I can go check). If I get a chance i'll update the article, but if someone else beats me to it more power to them =)

As a german speaker I have to add a grammatically correct title would be "Heldensagen von der Kosmosinsel". Although "Kosmosinsel" would be a Compound_(linguistics) of "Kosmos" and "Insel". I presume that Kosmosinsel was choosen as translation for galaxy "Galaxie" an island in cosmos. Like an "Atlantikinsel" is an island in the Atlantic. "vom" is short for "von dem". But since "Kosmos" is combined with "Insel" the last word is feminine and the article has to be "der" (don't confuse with 1. case feminine "die"). It could be indefinte ("einer") the story is placed in the Milky Way galaxy so a definite ("der") article is better. If "Kosmosinsel" is replaced it could be "Heldensagen aus der Galaxie", still uncommon, or "Galaktische Heldensagen". 156.67.137.99 ( talk) 22:17, 19 November 2017 (UTC)
Well, im stumped on this one, heard of it, but never watched it.

I'll leave the more details stuff to the dedicated fans. ;)

For article section titles, I've replaced all use of "seiyū" with "voice actors" because the latter term is more widely known. I then when on and reworded the main voice actor section and used "voice actor" with a brief explanation of seiyū in the first instance and then use seiyū through the rest of the section.
I'm not sure how touchy some people are about the use of seiyū vs. voice actor, but I figured I should give an explanation for my changes. -- TheFarix ( Talk) 15:19, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
I was trying to add more info to the infobox when I noticed that some of the info in the infobox seemed to conflict with the info in the Anime section of the article. I was wondering if anyone knew which was correct? I really couldn't find much.

I think we did quite well cleaning up this article while it was the Anime COTW. The information that was just cluttered up the article was moved to separate pages and we were successful in tighten up the rest. Good job everyone. -- TheFarix ( Talk) 17:58, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
Considering the amount of information presented and the organization present, I think this article would at least qualify as a Start-class, or even possibly a stretch to B-class with a no references tag. It clearly covers the background of the series as originally a series of novels, then its adaptation into an anime, manga, and series of movies. It provides a background of the story as well as a list of all media and major production figures as well. It is by no means a complete article, but it does not appear to be a stub either. Some of the sections may be short but the article as a whole presents far more information with more organization than a simple stub. the_one092001 ( talk) 22:21, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

Hey there,
I'm involved in a project designed to build a Memory Alpha-like fan wiki for LOGH called Gineipaedia. Recently i was asked to see if it'd be possible to get us linked from the LOGH article on Wikipedia, the same way MA and similar wikis are linked on their respective series articles.
Having looked at the Wikipedia guidelines on linking to external sites, it seems that the requirement for other wikis is that they have 'a substantial history of stability and a substantial number of editors'. I am not sure if our project qualifies for that or not; we are just about 2 years old now, and we have maybe a dozen regular contributors who have created almost 1100 articles — it's not much compared to MA but it's a niche subject after all. I do believe we are the most active and complete LOGH resource on the Internet though, even including Japanese ones.
In addition to that i am of course involved in the project, so it'd raise conflict-of-interest issues if i added a link myself.
So... i'm just going to drop this here, in the hopes that someone with a more objective view-point can determine whether this is appropriate. If it's not, that's fine of course :) Cheers! Ohkine ( talk) 21:49, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
Was reading Psychohistory_(fictional)#Asimovian_psychohistory_and_similar_concepts_in_other_fiction and it mentions that this concept appears in LOGH. I don't recall it coming up (at least not named 'psychohistory') in the OVA series, is it possible that this appeared in the novels but wasn't adapted?
If it did appear in the OVAs, would anyone happen to know which episode and whereabouts in there (like who mentions it) for confirmational purposes? Ranze ( talk) 03:34, 29 August 2013 (UTC)
