Even on MST3K this movie seemed to slow down the fabric of space time, by using the same footage over and over for fights/action sequences (which if I recall is also pointed out by the crew) it gave the impression of being three hours long. I don't doubt the article's stated 82 minutes, but am wondering if it is known how many minutes of original footage were actually in the movie? (To rephrase, how long would the movie be if the repeated sequences were removed?) Anynobody 03:45, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
The article implies that the destruction of the infamous "Hitler building" is real-life WW2 stock footage. This trivia fact pops up on the IMDB, and is widely repeated on the internet; it is alluded to on this page at MST3KInfo, but in this case it seems nonsensical. The footage is clearly that of a miniature model building being blown up from inside, shot from two different camera angles. At the very least, it seems strange that news cameras in the midst of a real bombing raid would be trained on the building at the exact moment it is blown up. Can anyone, perhaps a Japanese reader, shed any light on this? Why does the film have a "Hitler building", and what do the Japanese characters above it say? - Ashley Pomeroy ( talk) 12:51, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
In fact, on that MST3KInfo page, Kevin Murphy seems to be saying that the MST3K crew cut all of the real-life bombing footage out. There's a posting on IMDB that claims that the Hitler Building scene, and other destruction scenes were taken from an earlier movie that had stopped production called the "The Final War". 75.82.129.74 ( talk) 03:37, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
The Japanese characters above the building seem to read " Social Democratic Party of Japan." - 60.45.69.59 ( talk) 04:42, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
Cast should add new heading. It's good explain for this article. also add movie's image file. Please don't revert that. It's very important information for this movie.-- こういぇはつ ( talk) 01:30, 15 July 2016 (UTC)
