Does anyone know why this movie is in the public domain? It's not all that old, as movies go. I thought most modern major motion pictures were copyrighted for decades to come. --Do Not Talk About Feitclub ( contributions) 14:33, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

I've just finished watching the Kurosawa collection on Criterion, and was surprised that the park in Ikiru appears to be the same location as in Drunken Angel and Scandal (1950 film). I have searched the internet, but haven't been able to find any confirmation. Does anyone have information on this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:569:74DE:DA00:AF:AEC6:49E1:8B06 ( talk) 21:16, 26 May 2020 (UTC)
