support - The year in title generally corresponds to when the movie was released in the United States, which was 2024, not the date of the premiere, which was in 2023.

Oppose - the year on Wikipedia corresponds with the year it premiered, in this case 2023 - The Hurt Locker for instance, is counted as a 2008 film despite releasing in 2009. I don't think it should be any difference for the title.

Strong Oppose. It was first released at the
80th Venice International Film Festival on September 5, 2023. Per
WP:FILMRELEASE: Release dates should therefore be restricted to the film's earliest release, whether it was at a film festival, a world premiere, or a public release, and the release date(s) in the country or countries that produced the film, excluding sneak previews or screenings.MikeAllen 13:10, 27 May 2024 (UTC)reply
Oppose because Hit Man premiered in September 2023. We shouldn't stress too much about the disambiguation term and representing the year of popular release because we just use the term to sort out article titles of the same name. Think about it from 100 years from now, the difference between 2023 and 2024 is barely relevant that much later.

Oppose This film is listed pretty much everywhere as a 2023 release because it premiered at Venice and played multiple major festivals in 2023. The release date listed here should be consistent with the release date on all major film sites.
