Ritualistic penis flagellation

Horrifyingly enough, "ritualistic penis flagellation" is underselling the true nightmare that is the opening scene of any Hanzo film. But it'll do, because an encyclopaedia is generally not meant to contain the words "brutally tenderises his own penis with a stick". Never watch these movies. —Preceding

"After the decline of Daei..."
This sentence implies that the Daei company whose article is linked to made films. When I read the linked article there's no mention of movie production, nor any decline in the era mentioned in this article. It's a supermarket chain (with some sidelines, not uncommon in Japanese business back then. The business decline in the linked Daei article only seems to reference dates 20ish years after the mention in this article.
Either these are two different Daeis or the other article ought to have information on Daei Corporation's film division added to it. I would "Be Bold," but I lack access to sources and can't read Japanese.
