The result of the move request was: No consensus, which defaults to not moved.
Presumably, this will all be clarified when the film is released.

This ref was placed after nom's sig, fooling the bot.
Hope it's OK to move it here. Andrewa ( talk) 03:15, 1 February 2017 (UTC)
User:HENDAWG229 (and any others), please place your "vote" above the Discussion header, and discussion below it. This RM started out rather messily, but that's the normal way of conducting these discussions.
Repeating one source does not make it any more persuasive. Google News gives fewer than 3000 hits for the new title [1] and more than 50,000 for the old. [2] The official name carries very little weight, and a single source virtually none in view of the enormous number of other sources. Have you any better evidence that the new name has caught on? User:Andrewa - There are going to be more google hits on the old title Girl Trip since that was the title used when Universal announced the film's release date last year. The new name hasn't just "caught on", if you watch the teaser trailer for the film from the source provided, you will see that the film's new title has officially been changed to Girls Trip. The title has also been changed on BOM and IMDb. Thank you. HENDAWG229 ( talk) 22:25, 1 February 2017 (UTC)
