Prechistoye ( Russian: Пречи́стое) is an urban locality (a work settlement) and the administrative center of Pervomaysky District of Yaroslavl Oblast, Russia. Population: 4,846 ( 2010 Russian census); [1] 5,092 ( 2002 Census); [5] 5,235 ( 1989 Soviet census). [6]
In the village there is the Uspensky Cathedral, built in 1798-1801 by the means of parishioners. [7] There is a museum of local lore and woods, located in the former shop of merchant Sveshnikov. [8] The People's Theater operates and was founded in 1918. [9]
