Breytovsky District ( Russian: Брейтовский райо́н) is an administrative [1] and municipal [6] district ( raion), one of the seventeen in Yaroslavl Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,160 square kilometers (830 sq mi). [2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Breytovo. [1] Population: 7,034 ( 2010 Census); [3] 9,183 ( 2002 Census); [8] 11,019 ( 1989 Soviet census). [9] The population of Breytovo accounts for 47.0% of the district's total population. [3]
