Ozinsky District ( Russian: Озинский райо́н) is an administrative [1] and municipal [6] district ( raion), one of the thirty-eight in Saratov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 4,100 square kilometers (1,600 sq mi).[ citation needed] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Ozinki. [2] Population: 19,147 ( 2010 Census); [3] 23,568 ( 2002 Census); [9] 26,603 ( 1989 Soviet census). [10] The population of Ozinki accounts for 48.3% of the district's total population. [3]
